It is a truly magnificent wonder to see those unstoppable engines roar and send you hard into the sky, how nothing stands in its path. That’s what sends shivers down your spine!
Yes! None of that high pitched thrust, steep ascent, level-off, re-ascent rollercoaster crap that you get with the 737s. 757s are just a leisurely smooth ride up.
I heard the same sound on another plane on my way to Cancun.... don't rede, ber what it was but I think we flew on airbus.... that sound is very very distinct though
Amazing engine sound-goosebumps!-as if saying, "I'm OUTTA here, rain or shine". The transition from downpour to sunshine and cotton clouds is icing on the cake, and divine. Fantastic video!
Love this bird! Distinctive engine noise. I lived under the flight path in Palm Beach and didn't even have to look when they came over. The engine sound is that distinctive.
In my humble opinion, this is the most graceful aircraft in the sky, since the DC-8. Definitely a noise abatement departure. Thanks for the video and keeping that camera positioned.
Man those RB 211's sound like no other. Although RR have made many other engines since the 211's this is a beast of an engine and until they released their XWB's these engines were unrivalled. Long live the 211's.
its amazing.... how much these engines these engines will ingest without any performance lose.Engineering to a RR is fantastic and would put my LIFE in their hands. Couldn't agree more, Pratts are a MX nightmare. Actually RR RB211-535E4 set the world record for on wing time with no heavy MX for a commercial engine. Something like 52000 hours. 3 compressor stages too, serious think power behind that engine!
The B757 is the most powerful of all commercial airliners! These aircraft can land & takeoff from almost any length of runway, & the takeoff thrust is phenomenal. My favorite aircraft! American Airlines, now retired.
From spool up to rotate, that was one of the fastest takeoffs I’ve ever seen in a commercial airplane. Fantastic. Starting out in the rain, breaking through the clouds, that spine tingling sound of the engines. A tour de force aviation video. Well done. I know it’s an older post, but I just found it and it’s me new favorite.
Better ride on one before they stop flying them. The airlines will probably replace them with A321's. I got to ride on a 727 and that plane hauled! I rode on a 757 about 20 years ago, but I don't remember any powerful takeoffs, but I do remember a turbulent flight, lol.
