The yacht manufacturers are making a good effort with their smaller boats and I will admit we are impressed with a few of them. What would be your choice for a boat under 40ft.
Hey, great video. Please please clarify to everyone watching that this is NOT a 37 footer in size! This is a huge contradiction from Dufour I expect to understand somehow in the next decades.
I sort of let it slide in the beginning of the video this took the place of the 36 and that took the place of the 35, sort of hoping people would read between the lines. Though I will say they have managed to put a lot of volume on this model.
@SVTONICBoatWives How can we trust your review if you were too scared to even mention it is not a real 37'? That means you won't ever say anything negative even if it was as serious as the actual boat's length.
yet another nice if restricted to the Mediterranean Sailboat. Being as nice e about it as possible, as I'm getting particularly Grouchy with Med Bosts tbh. I was lucky, and did the Med to Death back in the 1960's and 1970's when it was still really worth visiting. Apart from uisance Dippy Hippies hanging out in Ibiza Old Town. Still Naples Mafia were a blast to hang out with for a while. A really nice e bunch of people tbh. 🤔👍🌟🌟🌟 Best Wishes. . ❤
Looks bulky like a 2 story building with window layout and the tour done by an ex-con covered in jail house tats which is common these days for some reason.
We are with you on that score but there is only so much you can fit in with a boat this size. If you had a choice of a yacht under 40ft within the production boat range, what would you buy,
@@SVTONICBoatWives Actually for a coastal Cruising Island hipper, I ythink I'd buy a Beneteau 373. Much more room, nice head and shower, nice galley, and at about the same displacement, a fair bit better for safely crossing the Atlantic with a very careful route, but just as uncomfortable if things get a bit lumpy ? I'd actually prefer an Oceanis 393 to the H R 400 tbh- Single Rudder plus good chance of in Mast Furling. 😅😅😅. On a serious note, in having smashed my last Sailboat violently into the bottom of a tidal Rip that the Wreckers led me until, that was so violent, the new stainless steel stove I'd mounted below got battered into a useless metal ball, so the thought of superfluous sticky out bit in the bottom of boats, like extra rudders, gives me the chills thinking about to be honest. 🤔 Best Wishes. Bob 👍🌟🌟🌟❤️
@@brownnoise357 The older beneteau is a good boat for a sub 40 goes, but mine would be a contessa I know not strictly a production boat but one hell of a small blue water sailboat.
@SVTONICBoatWives tell them to sponsor me with a boat. I have 0 experience but I'll take it across the sea. There solgan could be our boats are so safe w3 sent a redneck across the ocean and je made it
@@SVTONICBoatWives Yep. In their day the Contessa"s were a great boat, But I must admit to being a convert to post 2000 year Sailboats, and particularly the better post 2010mones with some of the much Beamier hulls. the only serious issue for me, as no longer being interested in Sailing the Med, is getting my hands on a shallow enough Draft Sailboat, which becomes critically important for sailing outside the Med. My last Sailboat was a long keel Shallow Sraft with a Drast of 4.2 feet for that reason. As an aside, that boat was a joy yo Sail, and tracked like it was on Rails. A huge learning experience of just what I can no longer live with on Sailboats as well. The best 5,000 dollars on a boat I've ever spent tbh, she was tougher than an outside toilet. 😄 Bob. ❤️ Actually, the closest modern boat that will fit what I fully need accordingly is an Island Packet, and not least for them now being pretty much Termite Proof. A Tide me over boat I may have to keep longer due to full order books, and I've actually Registered an interest with Moorings Btokrts for several Beneteau Oceanis ex Charter Oceanis 41 being phased out of their fleet this year. 3 Cabin 2 head 5 ft 1 inch Draft 2020 models. just have to fit a new In Mast Furling Mastand boom, and update the Standing and Running Rigging. Should tide me over I think. Still have to exercise extreme care in the Bahamas, ICW etc though. Ho Hum. 🤔🌟🌟🌟❤️

Nice boat. great review!!
Thank you, it’s not bad for a 37ft, what would be your ideal size/choice?
@@SVTONICBoatWives If money was no option then possibly a Sirius 40?
Love the way you look at the practical side of boats and the little bit of humour is appreciated as well. 🙂
Thank you, glad you enjoy the videos, it’s nice someone gets my sense of humor, I think I can a bit to dry for some people.
@@SVTONICBoatWives Dry's good 🙂

I hit the med in the early 90’s still a lot of fun, not to many sailboats and we were the generation that put Ibiza on the map. We had a lot of fun;)

Nice motor boat with a mast 😂
inboard diesel Engine is a touch underpowered for a Sailboat tbh, let alone a motorboat. 🤔 Best Wishes Bob. ❤😅
Маленькая очень,на день только выходить.
Perfect except I wish separate shower!
