Just a quick tip, you should hold the barrel when you load a pellet into the breach.

Your not on your own Rod i think most people are feeling that way mate but its comforting hearing someone actually admit to it! Keep on keeping on mate!💪👍

Just stumbled across your channel and I'm glad I did! Where it seems so many other nature-related channels fail, you really capture and convey that sense of grounded peacefulness of the soul that being in nature gives, especially amongst the trees. And what you said about it energizing you is exactly how I feel and it reminded me that I should push myself to get out there!

Nice one Rod, it always helps to be in Mother Nature when spirits are low, esp after what everyone has endured. Keep getting out, do what you love doing and bring us along 👍

R/C Car motor working pulleys should give you what you want, if you can figure out a switch system or controller or even just have somone control it it'll allow you to have something to mimic various animal movements.
I've got that mess kit too but with the original pouch, cutlery set and drinking cup present, fit's nicely on an Altoids stove I made years ago and the Knifes tin opener can even crack the infamous Fray Bentos tins.

Love the channel, really enjoyed watching, I was stuck in limbo in the house, after watching this I was a lot more motivated
    Thanks

Others may disagree... if you're not fully prone I think its best just to shoot free hand standing/sitting (and tuck your elbow into your side). Resting the elbow on the knee which isn't rigid is going to add a lot of movement.

Always good to shoot from different positions, cover and at different height targets, when out in the field no target is ever perfectly present, nicely done dude 😊😊

For a moving target, use your cans and hang them from a string. You can use another string then to connect you to the can...pull it and get it moving. Or you can use your first shot to get the can moving. Either way, hanging targets will move. There ya go. :-)

Your accuracy would improve with the "artillery hold" on the springer.

nice one Rod, I can relate to your thoughts, maybe a lot to do with we dont even have the choice to go out into the wild even if we wanted to (we are under that issue now since June and likely till after Oct). being outside is the best way to clear your head

Hi have a few air rifles and think in a prepping situation they're essential for small game hunting . I don't really fancy going to a gun club and getting a permission to practice on seems impossible near me. Keep the videos coming really interesting and informative stuff👍

Attach a ridge line on two trees an just tie the tin can to that with some paracord an let them hang down. Theyll swing to an fro depends how much you want them to move i suppose.

Quick heads up on British or Nato MRE ration meals or packs apparently there good for 20years if stored correctly. They have bb dates as there sold on the civilian market and they have to have them on the packets. They might lose some of the taste and texture of fresher bb dates but will certainly still be good to eat.I Remember old school Rat packs back in the 80s being long past any issue date when we were issued them and dont think they did any damage 🤔 lol ask any old squaddie.
Yep definitely going to be talking about the past 18 months for years to come Rod. And your not alone in your thoughts too. I think its important that if anyone starts struggling to reach out and even if its just talking to people that helps. Always look forwards to your vids mate. Glad to see your getting back out there and making more. I need to follow suit and get my pack on and start to shift some of these lockdown kilos I've seem to of gained from somewhere 🤷‍♂️
Anyway enough rambling from me. Stay safe
    ATB Rob. 😊👍

Seems a lot of people are feeling depressed, lockdowns and restrictions are not good for people, as we are social animals, ... have heard the number of suicides is being suppressed.
try table spoons for targets .... either just stuck in the ground,
or drill a hole in the handles and dangle them on wire from branches.

Try hanging cans to shoot at .at various distances. Hopefully The cans will swing a bit giving you a moving target

Maybe you could put a weight in a tin then let the tin dangle from a tree with a piece of string, perhaps a peice of fishing line also attached to the tin all the way to your position via another tree so it swings like a pendulum side to side instead of forwards and backwards, would be interesting to see what you come up with and to see a video of it

Hang a can on a string and put some stones in to give it some weight so you can set it swinging and get back to shoot

Great vid pal for shooting don't grab the gun and bend ur arm. Try keep the arm fully upright and rest in palm not grip. You'll thank me for it inaccuracy comes from the muscle and tiredness by bending the muscles.
2ndly pal, try and get a cheap pcp with moderator them guns are loud as out and last thing you want or us shooters want it's a hiking Karen see you in camo with a rifle and opening a can of worms. Deffo not being a Debbie downer but you are aware air rifle or not that if your shooting on land without permission that's armed trespass and unless you have a few firearms licencing officers names in your phone book your going to a nasty experience especially if you add a Karen to the mix. The world we live in or rather the country we live in. Just advice from a shooter pal
