Hi. I got a camera installed today and it shows up on the MMI but i don’t have interface buttons like the close button on the right top. And no car illustration is shown on the left. Only a black screen with a camera video stream but no controls at all. What went wrong here and how to activate the user interface to be able to exit the rear camera screen?
Hi 👋🏻 thanks for the video. I’ve recently got Audi South Africa to install my reverse camera which I’ve purchased from Audi. The reverse camera quality seems to be unclear and not great as I initially expected. From your installation, is the camera quality great or does the camera quality just suck? Please let me know as I’m not sure whether I should get it checked out by Audi. Thanks 🙏🏻
The quality is excellent, but I guess different markets could have different specifications, and much lower resolution infotainment screens which will cause it (some a1 use a very basic screen and the quality is bad)

Is removing the glovebox neccessary to get the wiring through from the navigation area where the screen will sit?

They are pretty tricky to remove, we will try and do a video in the future,, or running it behind the rubber seal could be an option, and tuck it in

Compared to my 2013 Q5, this car is a piece of cake to install a rear camera, I wonder why did they even bother to not include it...
