Everyone forgets, myself included, that Yuma is dying which is the main motivating factor for Osamu to reach the away mission this season, otherwise waiting a year or two would be more sensible since trying to rescue the captured is something border wants to do regardless of who’s on the mission
the writer of world trigger is scary, he made each and every character have distinct personalities. this is also shown in the newest arc where its shown best
Yeah, most people shot down the newest arc for being slow, but it actually shows how giga brain the author is to remember every bits of personality of an entire 55(?) Characters and how they interact with entirely new roster. Not to mention the occasional on-point judging from the A-rank members
@@ronny_innor i would day that often when some author make karakter looks smart they make him say the best answer to a question directly to what author want. But world trigger actually make each people think in different way and somegow still show they are smart in their own way
It's a cool contrast between two externally rather similar characters. Yuma and Hyuse are both experienced veterans who can see what their teammates lack and want to see them reach their potential, and this is expressed both through Yuma's supportiveness and Hyuse's direct assessments. We also see this side of Hyuse in the most recent manga chapter (245) where he's considering how to explain things to Rokuro.
I love the reasoning they later give for the rank wars format in the manga. It makes the battles more complex and closer to real life combat. Thus giving the team more experience and give a stronger impact of their victory to the audience.
The fact that it wasn’t a shut-out for Tamakoma-2 really makes this all the better. They had very close games and were even shut-out once themselves. These aren’t some of Border’s best for no reason. Osamu combat experience and power are low, and Chika’s has even less but much more power. This puts them in a not great spot if they were alone. Yuma has pretty high power, and has more combat experience than most other Border agents. Hyuse also has high power and likely only marginally less combat experience as Yuma, if not more than him. This overall, combined with Osamu learning how to be a better planner and leader as he learns and progresses the hard way, makes them one of Border’s best teams.
I agree, and it further cements the way the show portrays objectives. Particularly in the final round, It would be cool if they could win the match, but they don't plan around that. Their actual win condition is getting 4 points, and every one of them knows it. Hyuse goes out not trying to get a big fight, but just focusing on pulling one or two points out of it.
When you said it was like an esport I couldn’t agree more. The fact that Ashihara-sensei is able to balance the plot, the tactics and strategies in the rank games, ONTOP of the character development is so under-looked. BRO IS COOKING!! also I would like to know your current thoughts about the current arc in the manga. I’m aware it’s a bit slow but I like it because of the character writing we’re getting for all the agents.
No other tournament quite steals my attention as WT's does. The strategizing, tactics and play-by-play changes of momentum are enrapturing and madly entertaining. I have re-read the manga 3-4 times and I never fail to misremember some detail here or there, which always keeps it a treat to come back to.
The main thing I like about the rank wars is that regardless of how the battles went, it's still a net positive for everyone because they're all on the same side, Osamu clever tactics and low trion management, Yuma's innovative moves, etc it clearly shows that Borders feeds on all the info and everyone gets to improve in order to defend earth better, it's not just a petty tournament with glory for sole goal and cool moments
I like dark tournament a lot, in fact that I think it’s one of the best in retrospect. Personally I hold rank wars in much higher regard, that’s all :)
I liked World Trigger enough to catch up in a week, but I wish there was more story to it. The Rank Wars were fun, sure, but at times it felt like the author wanted to create a game, rather than manga
@@ralfsstuff I would agree if Ashihara didn’t pull to Aftokrator & Galapoula’s developments in between but those two nations making their presence known I felt made the story feel balanced
Imo, the trigger he chose also took his experience to consider. Kogetsu/Sword was the actual weapon he trained with since little, while Hound and Escudo chosen because of his experience when fighting Karasuma and Jin and learned how absolutely annoying both trigger are when used strategically.

What a wasted opportunity to not make use of all the detailed setting of World Trigger and making it into a real tactical tournament game people can play.
More World Trigger content in the future, thank you all for watching!
Continue the propaganda, brother.
the best news ever, keep the agenda alive
can't wait for the bet tabletop game arc

Hyuse calling out Chika was a surprisingly good scene. Usually, a former enemy beefing with a team member doesn't have you agree with them so much.

It's amazing to see Mikumo slowly grow. Every step takes so much effort that every little win feels like a huge success
Rank Wars makes me wish there was an vrmmo with the mechanics and structure of World Trigger. It be fun to experience

tournament arc with emphasis on team play > individual shonen skill showcase tournament arc
You’ve re-embarked my love for World Trigger and I might just watch the last season that I’ve been putting on hold
This brings me joy to hear! You will absolutely love it, enjoy your watch and thank you for watching 🙏🏾
thank you so much for making these videos. I love you man, you really get it. I feel understood. WT is really my #1 favorite anime.
Glad you like them! Comments like this keep me going. Thanks for watching and this video will certainly not be the last for World Trigger
Such an underrated anime. I always rewatch it because the fighting is so good. Great video!

World Trigger is an E-sport anime disguised as a battle shounen. It's brilliant.

You forget that Hyuse choose the trigger to what Tamakoma-2 needs. Not his personal, I just wondering what his preference?

the only real problem with the arc is that dear god it was so long.
I don't see it as a problem. It's so good that I wish we had more of it lol
