- Here we go, another Archeage 101 2019 Edition. This one is on Classes. With the tooltips in game only being half accurate I took off the builds potion of this video. I will make that the part B of this and just do a two parter with the second part being builds. I didn’t want to slow down the progress of the 2019 Edition publication.
In other news if you check the Website this week you’ll find its in a state of transition. Wasn’t happy with how www.paradoxgam... had turned out, so now I’m putting it onto a different template, making it 22 different pages instead of one really long page.
I also put out a one-off video this week on Blue Salt Bonds and Tempering so make sure to check that one out.

Man, coming from CRYY to here. And seeing some good gameplay with Archage. This will be my 1st time trying it out. I hope this game is newbie friendly.
It can be. Not 100%, but find a good guild and that will make it easier.

I just downloaded the game yesterday thanks to cry and I had a blast ( currently waiting for maint ) but finding this video really opens up my eyes on the system which I thought I understood but apparently not so much. Thank you for the guide it'll be of so much value for me starting the game. Keep it up!

Take note that with the way it is structured now that until level 15 all the classes level to 15 then it is rigid after that.
This game, without a doubt, gave me an mmo flavour that no other could. I wonder how the population is on the official servers...
We get full raids but they are pretty full of alts.
All of the servers are pretty much dead.

@@Alexic94 I played Alpha through the TST debacle. We had what...8-10 servers at launch. Hours + queues just to get in. Fast forward to now...two main servers on NA and an old fresh start server. I've yet to run into anyone while leveling. Steam charts only reporting max of 500 people at prime. Yes, that's only steam players, however, it is indicative of the population. It's not much more for the direct launcher players. Only ones streaming this game are Russians to a tune of ...2-3 viewers. KR doesn't even bother with it. It's ok to like the game. I still have some of my best mmo moments in alpha and nothing will likely top that. But be honest with the reality of it.

About the mic, yeah this video was done earlier in the year.
As I grow as a content creator I'm tweaking stuff and making it better. Upgrading my audio has happened through the year and I'm hoping to get a much better set up as I continue to grow.
Tinnitus sucks if you are trying to edit audio.

The goal is to fully support Archeage unchained in a better way than I was able to provide for Archeage Legacy.
I bought this game and now it scares me LOL . I am a total Archeage noob . Soooo much information it's making my brain melt LOL.. I hope this will someday all make sense .

Ironically I played FFXIV, then went Archeage, then back to FFXIV, and now I'm putting one foot in the AA pond. Not coming back full time, but I will be playing.

I'm just getting ready to try the game out. I understand the class system, but cannot decide what to try as a newbie. I'm mostly looking for a smooth leveling experience and would prefer to not go melee for now. Could you recommend 1 or more classes which use sorcery or archery and should be easy to level with, please?

If a healer had a club and a shield, what would you recommend as a second switch out weapon? To switch between a shield and something else. I've noticed a ton of healers run around with daggers, but I would really like your opinion! :D
I run a Mistsong Shield and a T3 Hiram Dagger set up for Healing Boosts as my two off-hands.

Yes, Archeage is more work than FFXIV. I've recently just made the journey the other way and I've started playing FFXIV more and only playing Archeage when I stream.
FFXIV is a more laid back and casual journey with the Extreme mode dungeons/raids being pretty intense.
Archeage is a more intense journey as far as gearing, with the dungeons/raids being pretty casual.
Any suggestions for leveling alt skilltrees? Do you recommend that we use 2 level 55 skilltrees, and use the 3rd slot for any trees we want to level?
I like to build up 5000 labor, plus a few labor pots, a lot of raw mats, and then pop as many XP boosts as I can (especially the 200% labor XP boost one) and then mad craft with my highest proficiency. Works well if you have a Labor Stipend, Guild, Family, because you get passive bonuses from those.
Then I pop in 3 trees that I need to level and boost all of them as much as I can.
When you need to open your Hiram Infusions, Coin Purses, etc swap to 3 trees in need of leveling.
I recommend doing this for 3 trees so you have your first 3 plus your next 3 (options).
After that you can carry one of the trees by using 2 trees plus the one you need.
Library boss dungeon is 500,000 x 3 (easily) or 4 (if you know HOA) so that helps.

I wanted to switch up from ffxiv and I am downloading Unchained right now doing research as it is. I have also played guild wars 2 and I like both but I was hoping with all the options of this game I could play like what I want?.Like a frost mage, with a melee staff or dual dagger, magic frost or whatever is clever. So my question is if I experiment can I screw up my character for good?. I guess I am saying I like options and would just like to play how I want but can I without dying all the time?
Yes, if you make certain decisions early on you will hurt yourself later.
As an FFXIV player I know how easy it is to get gear for your alternative classes/builds/etc, but in AAU you get one set of gear down a path and then you have to work your ass off for the others.
I'm not really into dungeons and raids. Is gearing through PvE mandatory to be competitive in PvP?
For your accessories yes.

What would you say are the best classes in the game as of today?
Melee and Mages
Then Archers
Then Healers
Although Swiftblade is going to crush when it comes out.

Do you think battlerage defense auramancy is a good combo?
Yeah Abolisher is a decent tank.
Once you have Defense and Aurmancy you can also swap in a few other thinks and make a few other tank combos.

So I love how the Archer looks like but I kinda think that the Melediction class is cool
but he looks like a damn vampire.
Would there be a difference If I would chose the archer first and then the melediciton one ?
Instead of first melediction and then archer ?
Or would this change evrything I dont get it tbh

Well you aren't going to want to go Malediction + Archery.
Malediction synergies with Sorcery since they are based on Magic Attack.
Archery is based on Ranged Damage and synergies with Shadowplay.
I mean I guess you could do Archery + Shadowplay + Malediction but I'm not sure how effective that would be.
@@ParadoxGamingNetwork So I am now a Witchdoctor I think that is Melediction Witchcraft and Occultism is it any good ?
@@WoolPlayGames Malediction as a primary tree has been shown to be pretty decent. Coupled with Witchcraft for CC and Occultism for a 13% self heal yeah you are in pretty good shape.
Hey. Can you make a video about leveling up after lvl 50 and what to do at endgame? We have gotten a few pieces of hiram but it is so painfully slow and very boring just grinding the same mobs over and over again. My girlfriend and I are pretty stuck on lvl 52 and we dont know what to do. Tried searching abunch online and even read your webpage but that didnt really tell us much. Thank you so much. We really want to like this game but we are lost.

Yeah I have a video on leveling planned. Ashes of creation picked up a little bit and I'm an official CC there. Gamigo and I decided not to partner, so when I have to choose between AA or AoC, I end up doing ashes content.
Did you check out the video on Hiram gear? And the video on the Fall of Hiram city? Those two should help you pick up a significant number of infusions daily.
Library. I literally power level my guildmates there. Choose a spot, park a character while the plvler cycle kill the 3 mobs in that area.
what server/race should i choose as a new player
Any race any server Aria or Kadum if NA. Good times all around.

They operate on a basis of their country being smaller than 36 of the various states in the US while at the same time working in a area that small that has a much stronger internet infrastructure.

Yes yes, we figured out why I was projecting so much. Noise reducing headphones cause me to notice the buzzing in my ears from my Tinnitus. I switched to a collar speaker so that I can talk under the buzzing instead of projecting over the buzzing.

When I have the collar speakers on I'm quieter. The newer videos are better.

Pretty sure XL has plans for this game for a good while. Then again, doesn’t mean that NA/EU is safe lol.
But look at games like Everquest, Aion, Mabinogi, Perfect World and many more that are still up and running somewhat. Archeage kinda falls into that area where you still have a somewhat consistent population but not too large in numbers. Players are always leaving and coming back. Occasionally you get new players too. Time will tell I guess right?
XL has at least another year of content planned for Archeage.
The problem is given the necessity of housing, and being crammed onto to 2 Legacy servers per region and 1 FS per region.

@@hikerfreak4561 I came back to continue my AA101 series and help people who are still playing the game. Maybe make some positive impacts on the community. Sadly almost immediately after coming back I had to get in the ring and box with Gamgio over their bait and switch. This time however, we won.
Archeage will survive for a while, or at least the private server (ArcheRage) will.
It's a fun game, just the p2w is killing it.

Because I had noise reducing headphones on and ... well it took me forever to figure out that my tone was what people were talking about not the volume.
I've since moved to a wearable collar and in the new videos you'll find the volume much more manageable.
