The first holiday in Scotland i went on was 10 years ago with a new girlfriend (now my wife) we were staying at the Winnock Hotel in Drymen. We decided one misty morning to walk over to Balmaha to the Old Oak Tree Inn using the West Highland Way route over Connic Hill. I've been in mountains all my life and only experienced an inversion 3 times. Usually i'm stuck in clag all day. That day on the top of Connic we had the most amazing inversion i've ever seen in all directions with a snow capped Ben Lomond peeking out of the cloud. Truly magical day. Your videos are amazing . Cant wait for the next one. Me and the wife love your channel
Lovely - sounds an amazing inversion on Conic for you - mother beats seeing those mountains popping out above the clouds :) Take care and thanks for watching ATB Murray

Great video of a superb area. Took me two trips to bag those 3 Corbett. Did Druim Tarsuin first and had to wade across Cona River. Then did the other two following same route as yourself. Had good vies both times but not as good as yours. Was pretty knackered on walk back along Loch Shiel. Keep up the vlogs

Great video Murray. Fantastic camera work above the clouds, you could be fooled into thinking it was a coastal mountain scene.
Not sure who chooses your musical backtrack but it works great , so hats off to them. Looking forward to part 2
Thanks Dessie - wasn’t too far away from the coast TBh . The music is all from the UA-cam library section and I have a couple of favourite tracks I like to use - glad you like them and hope they fit in ok 👍

Thanks Paul - don’t think I’d have fancied that river crossing if it had been wet - think I got it as low as it could go thankfully:) a superb area of mountains for sure :)

Watched it last night. Epic scenery there. Those hills were the 1st expedition I did with @LochEilCentre back in 1988, amazing area, amazing times.
Certainly some grand mountain scenery and landscapes up there - a magic place, wild and rugged mountains :)

Me and wendy love going along the A830, because it's on the way to the back of keppoch just past Arisaig, no mountains there but beaches and views to die for. Great for kayakers as well. The weather is always good as well there
Sounds idyllic - must visit those beaches with the kayak next year :)

"not many paths, thats the downside"... Wait, what!? THATS THE BEST BIT!
:)
I remember that magical experience when I woke up in a lodge in Nepal once and saw the white blanket below me , it was just incredible
Nothing beats a good inversion - waking up above the clouds is a magical experience:)
