    My dad David Chandler was one of the guys on the cleanup crew with Nashville machine and cult contractor all the fish got loose they seen him swimming to the parking lot

    Why did they take out the ride and amusement park here?

      Visitors were becoming less frequent and they wanted to use the property for an all season attraction. The hotel is still open.

      That's the reason they gave for the amusement park being shut down, but it is untrue. Visitation to the theme park had been steady, and successors to the CEO who decided to shut it down have admitted it was a mistake and has hurt the hotel. My current boss worked at Gaylord in the early 2000's and has confirmed that the CEO at the time did not appreciate that decision. @@hayleybrown1910
