  • Cooking an Impossible Burger from frozen and a fresh Beyond Meat burger patty trying to follow the instructions given by the manufacturers.
I also use McCormick's Montreal Steak seasoning and some store-brand buns bought from Kroger.
The Impossible burger cost $2.17 per patty (pre-tax)
The Beyond Meat burger cost $3.00 per patty (pre-tax)

"Sometimes you invite someone to cookout who doesn't like to eat meat. And I don't want to serve anything I wouldn't eat myself." That's why I looked up this video. You're a thoughtful host. My beyond burgers actually turned out pretty good. But I'd prefer one of your bubba burgers if you offer :-)

Agree completely! If I had to make something it is not a horrible option, but not my first choice as a meat eater. Thank you for watching!

I had a beef allergy for 10 years, that is just now getting to the point where I can eat beef about 2-3 times a week. It used to be once every 6 weeks. Impossible meat was our go-to when I needed "beef", my wife who is loves to cook healthy prefers it over beef even. Pray for her. If I didn't tell my guests they'd just think it was a sub-par burger, but not awful, I'd get no complaints.. But as my wife says of Beyond Beef "Woah, that's way too far Beyond", and into the composter it goes.

100% agree. It tastes like subpar beef. You are not going to make friends serving it to a meat eater. Quite honestly aside from condition like you mentioned, I don't know why a vegetarian would want it, but its an ok option. My dog knew the difference though...Thanks for watching!

I just picked up some Impossible burgers from Costco and cooked them as you did. Thanks for the video BTW! I couldn't eat them lol. The texture was there but the backend was overly sweet with a funky aftertaste. I would agree, a kid probably wouldn't know the difference though. Let meat be meat and veggies be veggies. I would have preferred a portobello or lentil burger over these.

Meat eaters are going to struggle with these burgers, because eating beef is just so much better and we can read the tells of the patty so much better. It takes a lot of doctoring to make these fake burgers close enough to fool a child.

Its easy......nail the burger to a board.....cook as usual......throw the burger away and eat the board!

Good one! I get it. Just in case somebody wanted to know a way to cook these things, I wanted to show a path. That said, I am a meat eater.
