Oh Scott, what a brilliant find!!! The JOY on your face is priceless when you realize that the music box actually plays two songs! Absolutely stunning! "Oh Rose Marie I love you... I'm always dreaming of you... No matter what I do I can't forget you!" This piece is truly a work of art! 🥰
You have become even more of one of my favorites to watch. This fun video made me smile: love all your local treasures, and the joy you bring when explaining your finds, and am so glad for you when you found a treasure that the “"all-day- cart-watchers" had missed!
Since you mentioned Rose Marie - when she was honored at Cinecon, a vintage film festival held in Hollywood over Labor Day, Peter Marshall came in to present her award. I loved Hollywood Squares when I was a kid so this was so much fun.
I could see a reflection of what you must have looked like at Christmas time opening your favourite gift! I’m actually surprised you’re letting it go, but alas, you can’t keep every treasure! 🇨🇦👏🇨🇦
A nice quality music box in that fruit bowl, and two tunes you don't usually hear, so evocative. I enjoyed your singing, but wish you'd performed YMCA for us. Maybe one day? It would be right up there with your bubble wrap dance . . .
😊 I have one of those cake pans from my grandmother. She's been gone now for 25 years and I still have it. I won't part with my cake. Di never knew. Who made it? But now I do thank you for sharing Scott Belinda from Sacramento.
Scott. The 1934 movie ROSE MARIE with Nelson Eddie & Jeanette McDonald was filmed at North Lake Tahoe CA & NV. The movie featured the song "Indian Love Call." The movie producers transported local Paiute & Washoe native people as "Extras" in the movie. It's silly and a farce to our Native people today. It's suppose to filmed in Canada with the Mounties, but funny how the Native Extras speak Paiute language in the movie. Thnx.
Great bowl!!! Years ago I saw a.musical wooden bowl similar to yours but yours is better!...anyway, that bowl did indeed have a shallow glass insert...in case you're interested if memory serves me here, the glass insert was European looking glass..if that makes any sense to you...lol.. Really enjoying your videos. Keep ',em rolling!!!!
Passed over those 1980s Dynasty sofas?!?! They would go beautiful with 80s deco revival hot pink ceramic lamps....naw that's some toxic decor☢. That bowl is amazing..twofer; I have never seen a music box bowl...such an unusual conversation piece. Would be a great truth or dare party game...pass the bowl and when music stops you have to take a slip of paper and answer the question. 🏳🌈
Oh and if you would, never put blue lettering on an orange background again. Carson and I were struggling to read it even on my big TV and said to tell you.
Hum........could be your color settings.....I watched on my big screen TV and could read it with no problem at all. And I have false teeth, one eye and a bad leg! Ha ha ha!
@@oldcuriosityshop265 hahaha!! Some people have issues with blue LED and we are 2 of them plus my husband makes 3. Just letting you know since I don’t have false teeth! We watched Mannequin 1 and 2 this weekend. 2 wasn’t horrible but very 90’s

@@oldcuriosityshop265 lol You're very welcome. I moved from New Jersey when I was 13. And I've been living in California ever since I miss home. Sometimes I'm kind of hoping 1 day you might go to my Hometown of Waldwick, or maybe mawa. Or Allendale or Ho. Ho. Kiss.

Fantastic find Scott!!😁👍🏻🕊️
The last 2 things I got from an antique store was a 1950s blouse and a mood ring. It’s on my pinky and is always light blue. ❤
What great history. Playing all the way to the end is special! 😊
I have never seen a musical bowl! What an idea! You can have some entertainment when you're drinking coffee and eating cookies. 😊😋👍
Scott ...you in that bucket hat and glasses...cute as a button. Take care...
Whoever said they were going to smother that with a pillow should be very ashamed of herself !😮
Today I found a covered candy dish just like the one you showed a while ago. The tall one. Only mine is flash painted burgundy 😊
I got my candle sticks yesterday . Thank you for packing them so nice .
❤ and more
Yea a new video!😊
That bowl is a dream! Quality, workmanship, beauty, and more. My big sis is named, “Rosemarie!” ❤🎉🎉
You sure do find the coolest things. Sure do learn alot from you.
I Love the music box
Cool bowl!
Also, I notice that the chord structure of "Rose Marie" is similar to that of "A Bicycle Built For Two."
love it❤
Ohhhhh does your Jersey accent come through when you say "Because." WOW!
What an amazing find absolutely beautiful. Thank you for Sharing. Please Stay Safe Happy and Healthy Have A Wonderful Day

Merci beaucoup !
Hello from Paris !
I thought you had found a bowl for beans 🤪
While the music box fruit bowl can be a bit annoying, it sure is CHARMING!
Never seen one like the musical fruit bowl ,so interesting and what did you polish the bowl with ,looks fantastic.👏😀👍

👍❤
Scott. How can you give that music box up
I like it.....but I'm very cognizant of not having too much clutter.
👋🙌👍😎
I hope that you don’t have to pay song royalties every time it plays. If it is a fruit bowl, then it should play, “yes, we have no bananas”. LOL.
Oh and if you would, never put blue lettering on an orange background again. Carson and I were struggling to read it even on my big TV and said to tell you.

How did you get anything done ? I think you played with the musical bowl like a kid with a new tinker toy 😅
Scott I am trying hard to win the music box
The stone is missing from your ring
The ring belonged to my grandfather and it was his first initial that fell off last year and is lost. I'll replace it someday.
You have become even more of one of my favorites to watch.
