Love the McKenna, it's my favorite knife. Started off with a G10/D2 version and later got the brass/154CM version. Then I got a second and carry one daily. Great light duty EDC. The brass scales add weight and rigidity...feels FANTASTIC in hand.
I'm actually REALLY liking my McKenna. I was debating on picking up the Damascus version (whish it was micarta instead of G10 on that one). I didn't know they had a 154CM model, I will have to look into that. Thanks for the input 👍
@@AzTurboMini ... sorry, I thought I had replied to this previously. My first McKenna (G10/D2) had a light detent. My third (brass/154CM) is also light. The second one I bought (brass/154CM) had a significantly heavier detent that has broken in a bit.
@@Blade-District... since it's discontinued, the brass/154CM model might be hard to find. If you are going with a Damascus model, they also offer those with a copper handle. The metal handles really add a level of rigidity and welcomed extra weight.
For me is hard to swallow the pill of D1+G10 for more than $50 (maybe even more than $40). I rather went for the 154CM in the Kizer SS1 and the Kizer Converse (when they were discounted) and they also are very easy to front flip. Cheers!!
I do agree this is priced a little higher than most, especially having those materials and being on the smaller side. Although personally, after handling it, I very much enjoy it and it's one of those that felt so good (in my opinion) that I'm OK with the extra cost. I will have to check out the others you mentioned though, thanks, cheers!

Is your detent light also in both of yours? Thanks
