Another good video my friend! ...Really like your collection of CF knives..I tend to lean more towards the marbled carbon fiber myself...Im glad you got a keeper on your new knife..I was the one that told you about my collection of Elementums and the one with a weak detent...I should have sent it back, but I had already taken it apart and polished the brass scales...if you havent yet, you gotta grab one of the s35vn variants....those have the snappiest detent out of all of them...I liked it so much I ordered a 2nd s35vn..., no need to give me props,...really liking your taste in knives, so Im going to be an avid follower -
Thanks Lemon! I added your shoutout in the desc area after I finished up my video along with your comment from the previous video!! Thanks man! I wouldn’t have been able to make this second video without ya!
I think you’re going to be good. Elementum has become pretty popular so I would assume they keep up their quality control on it. You’re not going to regret it!!
Yeah. They wouldn’t do an straight exchange so I had to return one for credit and order another one. I just had my gf order me another one and sent mine back for credit since I know I’d be making future purchases
@@DanosMac that kinda sucks...You have to buy another instead of exchange? That doesn’t say much about them as a knife company if they won’t do a simple exchange. I’m getting mine from eBay instead. Just in case but hopefully mine comes snappy. You’d figure they have the detent figured out by now?
Honestly, I’d rather have 9cr than D2 considering I’ve heard people getting their new knife with a rusty blade out of the package! Like seriously, how do you ship a rusty knife?!
I haven’t had any knives come with rust so far.. lol every civivi blade is pretty well oiled in the box so far.. check out Amazon if you didn’t buy from eBay yet. They have a better return policy!
makes me wonder if my detent is bad, ive had one for about a month and it is like the one you are sending back, doesn't come out all the way with light pressure on the flipper
@@DanosMac I know what you mean. Sometimes they do require some 'work' & cleaning to get going. I almost always break down a new Civivi/flipper & do a final tuning before I start to use it in pocket.

I just ordered a S35VN steel Civivi Elementum from Blade HQ. I hope I don't have the same problem. I hate returning stuff through the mail.

@@DanosMac thanks.
Wanted to double check to make sure that I understood you correctly. Both elementum’s were purchased through BladeHQ, right? Thanks!

Yeah, my new one feels way different form the one I sent back
why don't you just tune the detent instead of sending it back?
i tried after the video.. this second one feels totally different from the first one..

@@wasnt_it i shall start doing the same! thanks for the tip!
Those are nice knives but if you want better spend more. Your expectations aren’t meeting the price.
