Obviously, using un-contoured scales is a cost-cutting measure. These are economy knives. However, in this competitive market, contouring is a competitive edge. It makes the knife seem much more upscale, at little additional cost. Contouring can make an economy knife seem like a much better bargain! As a matter of fact, it makes it a much better bargain.

I’m glad for your remark about the pouch, i.e that it’s hard to see how you could fit 6-8 knives in there and still close the pouch!

They look like great budget offerings. One comment, not all knives are designed to be flickable fidget toys. They are tools designed to stand up to cutting chores and in some cases one hand opening/closing. Just wish we would stop judging all knives by their flick-ability

Always wanted one of these but went for the Altus, nice to hear some praise for this amazing knife.

I have the green alu one and Serape one. Among the 21 button locks I own, these two have the best, smoothest action, and the alu one is extremely snappy and has the best acoustics, with a fierce TING! And all of this straight out of the box. And it got even better when it worn in. Original probably remains my favorite "knife-shaped knife".

EXACTLY, regarding “what happened to the front flipper,” on the Richlite model? Why not retain all 4 deployment options, thumb hole, thumb studs, flipper and front flipper? I have a copper model that has all but the flipper, and a Richlite version with all but the front flipper. Also, the Richlite version has a notch to help retain the thumb stud, if installed, which however is not nearly an slick without the thumb stud. I wonder how secure is the thumb stud without that notch? I like the Richlite, but I love the copper.

Just got one of these with carbon fibre scales, it's lovely, just unfortunately with no flipper and not locking because..... UK 😢

I own a little less than 100 knifes. I realized with the time that one of the most important Quality that an "EDC" knife has to have is the dicretion. I don't want to take my knife in a public place having people running out calling 911. So this Baby banter is very good as a discret edc and it do the job😅

I actually love the look and shape but they are both very chunky. That's just as good for ergonomics as it is bad for carry though so it's up to preference and the capability of your pocket.

The us mentality is highest profit above all else and instead of internal cooperation between companies and individuals for mutual gain your fellow americans are competitors instead of brothers. Like most of the west your corps shipped production out there for lower costs to beat out your internal competition, every other corp followed suit workers be damned and now there is no production.
