How to fix GoPro not connecting to Quik App

This should work for all the Android phones that have the clean android. For example Google Pixel Phones and OnePlus devices. Some of them work but if you encounter this problem, this probably will resolve the issue.

You have to do this every time to use quik app, sorry, but I am done with gopro. You pay premium for a product which is not working properly. You should not be looking for workarounds to make it work. Thx for your effort to try and fix a gopro issue.

YES!!! I was bummed when I couldn't view "enable Preview" nor able to "view footage" on my cell phone without being slave to wi-fi. Thought oh well, this will not work because there is no wifi out on the lake. Was going to return my newly purchased GoPro 12 the next day, until I found this video, awesome. 👍👍

If any of you are struggling, go into your phone’s Bluetooth settings, “forget” the device or remove it from your devices, close all apps, and then turn your GoPro off. From there, start the process over by opening the app and following the instructions again. I did this, and it fixed the issue!

Might sound silly, make sure both the go pro and the phone is on the same wifi to transfer files.

This didn't work for me. My phone was connected previously, but lost connection after several months. I found I needed to reset the connections in the GoPro and start over.

I had this problem. I couldn't get it to pair with bluetooth either. I did fix it in the end by resetting the connections on the camera. It then paired fine. Also as a side note, the app doesn't like it when you have a VPN enabled on your phone and often doesn't play well.

I don't even get to the pairing mode. There is only the first choose language and nothing more. No other menu, no pairing mode. What a piece of crap.

I've managed to add my gopro session to the app but it doesn't connect. Absolute nightmare of a company. Shame, as the camera is great. I need the app as I need to know what the camera is recording 😡🙄

this needs me to put in a pin for my go pro on the bluetooth but the pairing app one seems to do nothing as do the random 4 numbers after go pro on the bluetooth :(

Yes, it's partly a problem solve but it means that you reset everything, the connection with the gopro apo, the Bluetooth pairing with your phone but what it doesn't do is permanently solve the problem and it just justifies my frustration with the younger generation, how long have computers and software been around? Almost 3 decades, we had problems with glitches and badly written software and firmware in the 90s, we shouldn't be having these problems 3 decades later, and it's the younger generations that SHOULD be more clever, more tech savvy, because they grew up with a computer in their hands, have blocks of code that our generations spent hours to input in singlehandedly, to make coding and writing easier, but no, nothing has changed and we're still stuck in the 90s, it's bullshit.
