NES versions was the first American developed NES game. This version was the first European developed Master System game. Both these ports were good, but both companies (Mindscape and Tiertex) suck
I wouldn't say that Mindscape sucks. They're a publisher, not a developer... they didn't write the games themselves. For example, _SimAnt_ and _SimEarth_ were both published by Mindscape, but they were written by _Maxis,_ which is now famous for _The Sims._ However, I will admit that the games they published were very "hit and miss" (mostly miss). They got out of the video game industry in 2011.
@@SpearM3064 I know Mindscape are publishers and that not all there games suck, but I thought paperboy was programmed by them. However it could be Grey Matter or Chris Gray Enterprises as they would have been called at the time.
It’s very interesting that this atari game was also on the mastersystem since sega never put their games on the atari 7800,but even more ironically is the fact that paperboy never appeared on the atari 7800 at all,may ask why???
I guess there were many Paperboy ports. But I’ve never seen one that was close to the arcade. They all strike me as having been worked on just enough to be playable before release. In this one, just to take one example, the sound is considerably more basic.
Oh, heck no. There was even a Commodore 64 version. There were also versions for the Amstrad CPC, Apple II, TRS-80 Color Computer, BBC Micro, ZX Spectrum, Acorn Electron, Commodore Plus/4, Commodore 16, Amiga, Atari ST, Sega Genesis... and the Atari Lynx, Nintendo 64, XBox 360, iPhone and iPod Touch... so it most definitely is _not_ a Nintendo exclusive.
This would be the best version of the game if it had the music of the NES version. Since it has some of the worst-sounding music I've ever heard in my life, it has to be the worst version of this game. The NES is still the best home version, followed by the Mega Drive.
"Programmed by Tiertex"
Ight Imma Head Out
This is actually Tiertex's best game they ever made.
Eles deveriam remasterizar essa versão... essa musiquinha e uma nostalgia 😍🕹️
This version’s level music sounds like Moon Patrol just speed way up, and a some extra notes.
Its a wonder that Irem didnt sue for such a blatant ripoff of the Moon Patrol music
I noticed that too. Makes me wonder why the change, and why there are only two sound effects in the entire game.
Glad to know it is not only me reminding "moon patrol" from this
Yeah, same! I was over here thinking ok, how is this not the moon patrol theme?
YOU GOT 1M Subscribers, Congratulations!
I've never seen paperboy be played so slow. I used to whip through the game like I was in a bugatti veyron
"Can you believe this port was made by Tiertex? No? Neither can I! They've actually produced something of quality for once!"
Wow
"No!, Even more than copetent!"
I think the music is something off Moon patrol which is 🤯
The music sounds suspiciously similar to Moon Patrol...
I miss this Sega master system port it was my favorite paper boy
I had this on my megadrive, good old days!
If you had this paperboy you had it on the master system, this wasn't on the mega drive
@@Jamie-tb6hg The game was made for both systems and you can play the MS version on the MD too with the power base or everdrive carts.

It's funny how good the SMS port is considering it was developed by Tiertex
This one sounds like shit, the NES version looks like shit; but both games play decently enough. This is the superior 8-bit port by far.

The principal song sounds like: Just can't get enough by Depeche mode

Why the music sounds like Fosters home for imaginary friends but with a obnocious noise? 🤔
nice version
I found a complete copy of this game in store for $40 yesterday
Finally beat the game today!
Paperboy was the very first nes game !
Came out a few years after the NES released in the US.
Now you tell me...🧐👍
You mean *your* very first nes game
How many voices does the master system have?
4. 3 squares, one noise channel.
@@solarflare9078 Yup. Not exactly quality, huh.
I thought this was a nintendo exclusive

best music, master system
They used the music from moon patrol in this version
Looks good but why is this version using the music from Moon Patrol?
i played the shit out of this game.
looks great... but the music sounds ripped from moon patrol lol. the nes version was a turd done by mindscape.
Achinga yo crei que era atinarle a la ventana
Looks great, sounds awful, and kids shouldn’t ride big wheels in the middle of the road

This version uses the music from moon patrol, I have no clue why
I don't like that game please play some intertaning game in my boy
The channel is called "World of Longplays". Their job does not include playing only the games that _you_ like.
Ok I'm sorry
