    We drove both. We chose the Mach-e GT Performance. The suspension is great in the performance. We also preferred the interior and body style of the Mach-e.

    Nice review. Thanks. I test drove both a Model Y and Mach E to decide which to buy. You nailed it indicating the Mach E drives and operates more like a traditional SUV. Leaning towards Model Y because here in Washington D.C. area and along USA interstate highways I drive there are far more and more reliable Tesla Superchargers than CCS. I want nice boring long distance drives knowing I can charge quickly without drama. Cheers.

      Glad it was helpful!
      Tesla really thought ahead and got a good charging network established.
      All cars can get bigger batteries and more range, but when it comes to public charging, Tesla win hands down.
      There are a lot more other chargers appearing in the UK, is it the same in the US?

      Although Ford has switched to the Tesla Supercharger network a couple of weeks ago, so you will be able to charge on either network.

      Very good for Ford owners, as long as the cable reaches and doesn’t cause Fords to take up more than 1 stall I’m all for it

      @@lenm2857 Absolutely. However, Mach-E won't be able to use Tesla Superchargers until sometime in 2024, Spring according to some sources.

    Thanks for this review as you looked at the XC40 recharge I know they are both different but we have short listed to this Mach E and the XC40 what do you think?

    • @thercsev
      @thercsev  9 місяців тому

      They are both great cars, I don’t think you’ll get a lot more with the Mach e for the higher price tag.
      If you need a higher range go for the Mach e, otherwise I’d say Volvo.
      Let me know which one you go for

    A really nice car. Im wondering about the wind noise, the Mach E is actually more quite than the model Y. But the 2023 Model Y is at least better than the old models.
    Build and ride quality is better in the Mach E and even the range is better since it has a bigger battery. Model Y is more efficient though, but still has shorter range due to a smaller battery.
    And when it comes to styling the Mach E looks so much better.
    Really have a hard time motivating a model Y buy. Its cheaper, that it? When will it get a driver display/heads up display(?) So annoying having to use the main display for speed etc

    • @thercsev
      @thercsev  Рік тому +2

      There is one really big reason to buy a Tesla, and it isn’t the car. It’s the superchargers.
      Yes the mach e has a bigger battery but I think the future of EVs is more reliant on convenience of charge than that of range…I am making a video about this soon.
      At least here in the UK I will turn upto a Tesla charger and I’m 99.9% sure it will be working.
      Other brands, maybe 50%.
      I think you are getting a comparable level quality in the model y compared to the Mach e from its lower price point

      @@thercsev Tesla's superchargers are good, but most people charge at home. I charge outside home 1-2 times a year. This is especially true when you choose are car with a big battery.

      Same, I’ve used superchargers maybe twice in 6 months. I’ve used destination charging a lot more though

      @@thercsevI’ve driven and liked both the myp and Mach e gtpe. Ended up with the ford for trade in reasons. Here is the US the Mach e can use superchargers now. Shouldn’t use them much but takes one of the advantages away from the Tesla

    Nice review. Thanks for not spending half the time on the looks when we can see that., yours was just right IMO.
    Comment on your starting comment about new camera , dont waste your money on a new one (unless of course you just want one anyway lol) your videos are crisp and clear and better than some folks who do 'talking heads' videos in a studio with presumably a fixed camera. i think you'd be stretching to get something better. Just out of interest what is it?
    Pity the charge flap is in the "wrong place" as far as superchargers go (should they ever be really opened in the UK) I wonder if Ford will be standardising that to the Tesla position in future.
    One pedal driving is irrelevant as far as regen. One pedal just means it will come to a halt. You can still have regen without that. IT just means you can come to a complete halt. You can have regen without one-pedal. Hyundai and Kia (and most likely others) have blended braking where as you press on the brakes initially higher levels of regen and then the mechanical brakes come in. You cant tell when they start its seamless.
    Whilst your review is playing I'm looking on the Ford website. 0% interest free (better than most) and I can see why, Mustang prices are breathtaking, £10k more at least for comparable spec to a Model Y. And for that you DONT get the SC network.

      Glad you enjoyed it. I try not to focus too much on looks as you say. Mainly because it’s completely personal preference, but they have don’t a good job.
      I’m tempted to get a go pro; more so I can do recording with it attached to the outside of the car, I don’t fancy hanging my phone out there 😂
