12:40 Imagine breaking down on the side of the road and walking into a gas station, only to see some guy literally emptying the entire fucking gas station of energy drinks and becoming the destroyer of worlds.
Jeez this game has a lot of added content. I feel like my vision blurred out when you were carrying a photograph of Rei and when I woke from my stupor, you were piledriving and suplexing a goodbye letter through a table in a wrestling ring with a pentagram. As always, impressed with your secret/ending hunting.
The cut after Manly started drinking the caffeine then turned around and there were just cans everywhere and being like "I drank all of the caffeine, I am now unstoppable!" had me dying idk why XD
11:45 "'We didn't expect anyone to buy them, this was just a money laundering product, why the fuck would you buy them?' a spokesman for 'ZEBRA' claimed upon having his bathroom window kicked in by a journalist of 'Just the News.'" I absolutely love the comedy in this. Even the newspapers are actually written out and funny!
21:15 man, that's a throwback reference! it's one of the oldest jumpscare memes ever, like early 2000's era. for those unfamiliar, the maze was a steady cursor test. you, the internet user, were tasked with dragging the cursor on the screen to the exit and try not to touch the sides. obviously, it's harder at the very end, which is intentional, as it causes you to really look close and focus, so that the jumpscare at the end hits especially hard. it circulated as a spam email back in the day, if i recall correctly.
The best thing about Manly is that he plays it all with barely any cutting, goes through all the endings, finds the lore, research into the game while playing, and some finds all hidden gem of a game. Reasons why he’s my favorite UA-camr (him and LDShadowlady)
"plays it all with barely any cutting" He says during the ending review segment that he recorded over 6 hours of gameplay. So if he cut 4 hours of gameplay that's... quite a lot of cutting lol
You don't notice all the cuts where he's one place and then has completed his list, started the second list and suddenly in the carpark or stuff like that? I mean ... do you watch the video's? :p
I love Manly's stuff too, but nah he cuts stuff plenty of times. Mostly to spare the viewer from having to watch him wander around or get lost while he figures out what to do next. It is just that he has really good editing skills so it is not as obvious. But otherwise yeah, great thing about Manly is he will strive to get all the endings and uncover the full story of the game.
I think Manger is Goliath, the wrestling dude. As it mentions in the newspaper, Goliath had damaged arms, legs and face and he will never walk again, and Manger have no limbs and moves on the wheelchair. And the newspaper highlighting it IS in Manger's de-cursed office. Is that important? Probably not. I suppose it makes sense why he would put the shop on the spot the wrestler's ring was originally placed. Maybe.
Wait, I rewatched the video and it does say (in Carmen's will) that Goliath wrestler's name/tite WAS M.Anger. So Manger is Goliath and he probably took the legacy thing about the ring too seriously and rebuild it into a shop after his accident, since he couldn't wrestle anymore. And Carmen, his grandfather apparently, didn't like it and cursed the place? That's how I interpret it now.
Yeah the article set it up that Carmen left his fortune to grandson David/Davey, the wrestling ring to grandson Goliath (M.Anger, who lost all his limbs and damaged his face then repurposed the ring into a convenience store since no more wrestling), while grandson Mario who owned the pizza place you can order from got nothing because Carmen didn't like him. Arguably makes the Super Mario ending reference even more of a wink. We also got to see Manger/Goliath on the roof for his dinner date, but he looked to be alone? Kind of wonder if he was there with a pic of his waifu and just didn't catch a good look.
The good ending newspaper also mentions that "Son of Wrestling Legend Successfully Launches Busniess Nationwide" right above the article about The Month opening more stores across the country, if there was ever any doubt that Manger was Señor's son
That revolver ocelot Easter egg thing caught me so off guard. I was doing homework with this video in the background and as manly said "you're pretty good" my neck snapped 90 degrees towards my left where I put my phone and I double checked the video to make sure I wasn't imagining things. Hey! I realize towards the end that our dear and beloved "Manger" is probably that Carmen guy's son. We see towards the end an article about his son falling off eight stories, and not being able to walk again and such. Manger is in fact in a wheelchair. Probably some other details I didn't catch, but that's the gist of it.
I'm impressed by just how much there is in this. Every time I figured we'd more or less seen everything the game had, Manly found another new area or the entire place changed. It's hard to say if it's better or not than the demo, they're almost entirely different experiences now.

Yooo! I remember watching the demo when it came out on your channel! This full edition feels like it’s kept the slightly off aspect of the demo while still not taking itself too seriously. Super nice!
This was one of the wackiest horrorgames I've ever seen. What starts out as a FNAF like type of horror game quickly spirals into sheer madness with every further iteration of the same night. It's incredible how complex it turned out to be. Definitely one heck of a ride to watch.
Like FNAF, it also has lore. But not only is it comedically convoluted and weird, but it’s also surprisingly simple to understand when you look at the overall, general picture. It’s also an incredible feat for the devs to make this game still enjoyable even without knowing about the lore because it’s so batshit insane with a troll sense of humor that it just fits (not that the lore helps much with certain aspects like the VHS tapes but still).
This cracked me up so bad because it’s such an exaggeration of the fact that every retail and serving job I’ve ever had is always open waaaay longer than necessary
I can only imagine the amount of editing this video needed - just finished watching and wow, this game is much bigger now Great video, keep up the great work!
I don't know if Manly will see this, but I hope everything is okay and you are healthy after the storm! You can take time off if you need, just make sure you take care of yourself first!

This game are so old school. Bunch of today's trend, indies and early 2000's anime (Rei) and popular stuff mashed together. Made you feel nostalgic/relatable depends on your age once you recognize the reference presented in the game. It got some LSD Dream (Playstation 1) vibe too with the weird scary, mostly weird "Huhhh??" stuff. The dev really outdone themselves with the use of game engine. Props to Manly for 20h+ playtime, edit then upload before got hit by hurricane. Bless.
This is incredible, your video on the demo was the first video I’d ever seen from you and had gotten me hooked. So glad to see the full release is finally here, it’s been a delightful year
hearing the game devs voice and going "wait is he irish" and then looking around the background and being like "wait i know that mountain,,, WAIT A SECOND" was a trip
LOVE this type of adventure-horror-ish game, thank you so much for playing. I love the games you showcase, appreciate the work you put into them. Yes, the words I kept thinking were "surreal" and "parody/homage".
Tbh, I watched this whole thing and it was sure one hell of a fever dream- Everything was so confusing and disorientating to the point where it felt numb and I guess I had a feeling of wanting to get out of that situation and escape the loop and there was "hope" in the form of the cloaked guy (which I forgot/dunno name off) asking you to collect the pieces of the skeletons so that they could lift the curse but it felt like one of those games where the dude would betray you and the story would end badly leaving the main character is forever stuck in limbo but instead it had a somewhat comedic(?) climax with the final ritual being done at the basketball area and despite it somewhat being underwhelming you are then told that the curse is finally lifted; You could go home now. As you take the steps up the stairs, you don't see a dark empty void of a night sky anymore, instead, you see the warm lights of sunrise and your boss congratulating you for your shift as if nothing happened. Honestly seeing them walk out and seeing the sunrise, "Dreamcorp - Nevermind, everything's okay" started playing in my head internally during that moment. A breath of relief, knowing that you are finally free from the chaos. I know osts don't really fit the game cause I because I barely heard any throughout the game (If I'm correct) but ngl, a somewhat missed opportunity to shove in some memorable ost into that part instead of complete silence broken by birds chirping. Anyways, a nice, relaxing refreshing ending that is kinda different from the trope of other "acid trip" horror indie games and a breath of fresh air for me. PS, I also like how some of the abnormal things (like the black ghosts and the milk dimension) are still there, reminding us that the place is still strange in its own way but it isn't overwhelming and shocking to the point where it feels like you are still stuck in the loop and that the curse was never broken, not casting all your efforts to get out to the side but instead rewarding you with complete freedom for surviving the hell and insanity.
I love that the "mysterious report" basically suggests some group/agency was well aware of the fuckery going on in this place, but was basically like "Nah fuck this, we're gonna wind up dead. Just leave it, I'm sure it'll be fine."
"This game contains scenes." It's about time a developer puts that warning up. I can't tell you how many times I've started a game and been surprised by scenes!
Before I even watch this video- I'm so happy you're covering it. I watched and rewatched the demo video so many times and was stoked to find this in my feed lol
Okay, so in the span of less than 12 minutes, your character has to do: -Your chores. -A coworker’s chores. -Your boss’s chores. Wow, the monster might be doing you a favor. Take this opportunity and get the heck outta there. 😂

@@ReaperPeaper. Mhm! The girl from the Exorcist!
calling it a "throwback reference" makes me so old
@renz
Hate to tell you this, but we are old.
I respect this dev for making a game packed with anything and everything you can think of - it’s very creative
The best thing about Manly is that he plays it all with barely any cutting, goes through all the endings, finds the lore, research into the game while playing, and some finds all hidden gem of a game. Reasons why he’s my favorite UA-camr (him and LDShadowlady)
"plays it all with barely any cutting"
He says during the ending review segment that he recorded over 6 hours of gameplay. So if he cut 4 hours of gameplay that's... quite a lot of cutting lol
I think it's more so of his insane editing skills that we don't notice it that much because he essentially cut out 3/4 hours of game footage
@@Yominokun1 lol. I'm on paid medication from surgery. I'm just enjoying the confusion. XD
That seemed fairly obvious yes
Cult leader: "I do not understand this item"

That revolver ocelot Easter egg thing caught me so off guard. I was doing homework with this video in the background and as manly said "you're pretty good" my neck snapped 90 degrees towards my left where I put my phone and I double checked the video to make sure I wasn't imagining things.
I cannot escape mgs. And I haven't even played mgs3 lmao
You're pretty good
You haven't played 3?? If there's one MGS game I feel like is a must play, it's Snake Eater. I don't think I've ever met a single person familiar with the series who hasn't at least tried it lol
Are we sure the last half of this game wasn't just Manly's character having a stroke from drinking several gallons worth of energy drink in a single sitting?
Watching your videos has been a great way to pass the time while I'm recovering from my surgery. Always appreciate the content you put out man, its a real comfort. I hope you keep enjoying what you're doing!

“This game contains scenes.” Well obviously lol
I love how the devs made the sound warping so accurate. Like being far away makes them sound quieter. Amazing
Honestly: it's kinda fascinating, how Manly manages to keep up with the "story" despite the chaos around him

Gotta preface this; I found your steam review before I found this video. It was like seeing my favorite celeb at the grocery store or something.
Love your videos, thank you for all the great recommendations. Hope you keep on reviewing these hidden gems, really you are doing a public service by giving free exposure to so many small time devs. And you're giving people like me who live under a rock the chance to play amazing but missable games. So seriously, thank you.
Damn, I really like your videos, man. You're the only youtuber who can help me to sleep normally (i have trouble sleeping cause of audio hallucinations). So, all I wanted to say is...
Thank you. Thank you for your effort, your work, time, and energy you put in making these videos.
Yooo! I remember watching the demo when it came out on your channel! This full edition feels like it’s kept the slightly off aspect of the demo while still not taking itself too seriously. Super nice!
"There's a stairs in the Bathroom!!", "There's blood." The fact that the stairs are more surprising than the blood says a lot about the game lol.
Having a really bad illness rn making me feel like crap. Thank you Manly for this video! It makes me feel better emotionally at least!
"I've done it. I have drank all the energy drinks. I've become destroyer of worlds." so true. The whole energy drink part tbh
This game really nails horror, "Can you come in tonight" are some of the words I dread hearing the most in the world
1:29 "We never get customers after 8pm, but I like to keep the place open until about 3am" -- No Store Owner Ever
This cracked me up so bad because it’s such an exaggeration of the fact that every retail and serving job I’ve ever had is always open waaaay longer than necessary
the real horror is normally working on retail
I can only imagine the amount of editing this video needed - just finished watching and wow, this game is much bigger now
Great video, keep up the great work!
I don't know if Manly will see this, but I hope everything is okay and you are healthy after the storm! You can take time off if you need, just make sure you take care of yourself first!

Aisle 4 with the red flares at 26:00 is definitely a Cry of Fear reference! Glad to see these devs pay homage to a classic.
I didn’t realize that.

"how do I get down there--? Oh, there's water down there. --oh wait, I can't swim." 10/10 thought process right there
The fact the motivational sign is just “I’m at my fucking limit” absolutely wrecks me
Crayon voiced the Silent Protagonist really amzingly. I'm still flabbergasted. It left me absolutely breathless. So much talent.. unbelievable. Well done!
Bless.
Everytime I thought this game was close to ending it just kept going. Truly the game of all time

Stay safe from the hurricane, Manly! Thank you for the upload! ^^
Very interesting game, and listening to Manly say "Señor Emanuel Hernández María del Carmen" would make this worth it by itself
