Becareful guys if you have more than 1 hard drive attached. Don't copy his exact setting. You must not touch the default setting "Partition the disk interactively during Windows Setup" if you have 2 or more drives attached. Because if you choose his setting selecting GPT etc... it will just choose disk0 and start installing from the very beginning until it finishes without stop and you will not have a chance to abort at anytime. I made the mistake of trying to see if my Ventoy even works and it just installed on my backup drive without any prompt.
That's strange that a USB drive would be disc 0. Did you have to install drivers for your controller? I probably should have added that it would be a good idea to unplug any other drives in the system before doing this. If I ever revisit this topic again I'll make sure to include that.
for me that was simple, I merely removed any storage devices, you do not wish to accidentally format. An ounce of prevention, is worth a pound of cure(or loss)
@@CyberCPU I've also had a portable (yes, it is) Win10 install decide to rewrite the file table on an attached USB drive that was formatted in a previous century -- Win10 does NOT like the older NTFS format and WILL nuke and replace it. This rendered all the data on that drive unreadable. I expect Win11 does the same. After that adventure, Win1x never again touches an older system in my house unless ALL the other drives have been disconnected first. (See also the problem with rewriting the volume label on floppies, rendering them unreadable, but for that there is the NoVolTrack fix.) Portable? I've found Win10 will tolerate an installed HD being moved between systems (this one has been through at least six, not even same era hardware), and at most it may tweak some drivers. I imagine Win11 will do likewise, but haven't yet tried it.
I assume you can just disable all other disks in the bios, or yes unplug them. As for selection, i guess you just select Disk Number So would be 4 on my machine, i dont get the partition number, what would you set that at 1 also?
Astounding !! I did it and it works amazingly, even on an 8 year old laptop. After a year on Linux and desperately trying to escape Windows, I keep fining there are certain softwares that are only windows friendly even with WINE. The whole idea of a virtual machine on Linux sort of defeats the purpose, so I have reluctantly bitten the bullet and returned to the devil.
This is awesome, it even worked on my x99 xeon that has no tpm 2.0 and Would Not let me even with registry key hacks, so this is a welcome tool! All seems to be running good after some updates and ill be playin what i want as soon as it downloads. Now i hope it stays stable.
Now we need a custom drive to UPDATE an existing Windows 10 system on unsupported hardware to 11 without formatting the drive and starting and installing from scratch.
This is fantastic! I tried it for the first time, I cannot believe how fast Windows will install debloated without an internet connection or creating an account! Thank you so very much for this, it is saved me time and made my life so much easier when doing a fresh Windows 11 install.
So this does the "custom iso file" for you, instead of using NTLite i guess. Probably for the best for most people. Also it's funny how smaller channels talk about stuff like this but not bigger channels...

I have not watched your video yet, but I already know I'll like it. I've never paid for anything MS has released to the public. I'm running win11 for workstations at zero cost. Disabling all telemetry is the goal. I'm running Glasswire also. I'm busy making a stand-alone OPNsense or Sophos firewall at the moment, so many projects, so little time...
Do an in depth video explaining each of those settings and check boxes. i.e. what all the features are that you can turn on/off like Skype, etc. As a lot of those, I have no idea what they are for or do.
Seriously, this seems to easy to be true; too good to be real. Bypasses the MS hardware requirements? I'm running 10 and it's legitimate. I hope my understanding of the presentation is correct. Thanks CyberCPU Tech.
You've done a great job with your UA-cam channel and as a system builder and old computer refurbisher I applaud your efforts! You're obviously very knowledgeable and I love the candid approaches! I would like to see (or if you have a good tested method) for REinstalling Win11 Pro on an unsupported machine (i.e., no secure boot, no TPM 2.0) on a previous install of Win11 Pro so that files, installed programs, current settings, etc. are not lost. This would be to repair a currently damaged Win11 Pro install where there are likely more issues than corrupt system files. A regular attempt to reinstall Win11 Pro on an unsupported machine seems to abort when the server finds that it doesn't meet the requirements (though Win11 Pro was running perfectly before, including updates, etc.) This would be extremely helpful to all of us if it's possible -- or is that not possible??? Keep up the great work and thank you! ...Jeff

This looks great. Even better would be having the answer file integrated in the actual ISO file so it could be used with Ventoy intead of having a separate USB stick fro every version of Windows.
this is great! I was able to make the drive on UTM virtualized Win11 running on an M2 MacBook Air and then ran the install on an old Intel Mac and it worked flawlessly!
The forced Microsoft account requirement upon installing Windows 11 is super annoying. The new stupid right-click menu is terrible, and the fact you can't fully disable Windows Defender like you could in Windows 10 makes me hate Windows 11 even more. Will have to try your new method.
The Microsoft about thing is easy on Pro, at least. Just tell it you want to join a domain, and it will let you make a local account. Then just, well, don't join a domain once Windows is installed.
Regarding power tools, I could not agree more. Serious injury is one complacent moment away. I myself came millimetres from cutting in of my thumb only a couple of years ago on a power saw. Safety with these things is a state of mind. You have to pause before every movement and consider where your hands are in relation to spinning cutting blades. The comments about being in ER very much resonate with me. I've been to ER a few times myself and also with other people and noted that whenever you do, there are always at least a couple of other blokes there nursing hand injuries from tools.
Schneegans is pronounced "Schnee + Gans" ("she-knee" spoken as one syllable and then "gans" sounding like Hans with a G like Gun instead of H) which means in German a female "Snow Goose" as a proper noun (Schnee means Snow and Gans means Goose) or "Silly Goose" as a slightly slang version. As for why the website is named as such, well it's because the owner's last name is Schneegans, Christoph Schneegans. 9:01 So what if you a windows license product code that's already activated on the PC you're installing it on? Any time I do a clean install windows I don't bother entering a product code since it just automatically activates it self once I go online with it. Will this step change this if it's using a "generic product key?"
I have the same question :P edit: I did find a way to find the original product key of your computer, use command line (cmd) as administrator, and use the following command " wmic path softwareLicensingService get OA3xOriginalProductKey " ( without the quotes obviously) . That will give you the product key of your windows license.
@@adrnik19 Yes which is what i believe had happened in the past with all of my licenses keys at some point in the past in the Windows 8 era. Even though I'm not using a Microsoft account currently on my PCs. Even then doing clean installs i never have to enter in a product key, and it's a retail product key. It just works. This worked really well, except that no amount of pre-install debloating will prevent Windows 11 from forcing its updates onto your computer to inevitably restore the useless bloatware anyway.
Dannnnnnnng, this worked great. I just set up a VM on unRAID and it was the easiest and fastest Win11 install ever. Had to exit the VM template manually to add another ISO to be mounted but that was mostly just a copy and paste job with a couple edits. TY for bringing this to at least my attention.
this is really nice actually. just running this installer vs installing win 11 normally saved me like 15% of my 16gb ram that was being used at startup. and for my ROG ALLY, thats a big deal.
None of those "apps" are actually installed unless you try to use them. They "bloat" you are removing is minimal and has literally no effect unless you run the app and decide to use them. Using a VM that is not connected to the internet is a bad example as pretty much all these apps will be "reinstalled" once connecting to the web. Autounattend files are great, don't get me wrong, and can be used for a good deal of customization and automation, but it's better to actually script installing the apps you want with a powershell script after first login. The "debloat" fad is a clickbait theme that really has no relevance on modern hardware.

Routers are awesome! Did plastic surgery with mine. Did a thumby tuck. Modified thumb comes to a point. Love your video. Exactly what I was looking for. I'm all 1.6 thumbs for you
Becareful guys if you have more than 1 hard drive attached.
Yeah. I usually pull those drives during a reinstall. @@williampollard4759
(See also the problem with rewriting the volume label on floppies, rendering them unreadable, but for that there is the NoVolTrack fix.)
Portable?

Now we need a custom drive to UPDATE an existing Windows 10 system on unsupported hardware to 11 without formatting the drive and starting and installing from scratch.
This is exactly what I need.
IT support? 😂 that's my current project
Why would anyone want to update to 11 from 10? except to scam some old lady of course as we IT people do
Need!
Sorry to hear about your opportunity. Been there done that. Love your channel and your information.
I bet you intended to say "unattended" rather than "unintended". 0:02 That said, thank you for this, and I'm glad you didn't have to learn to use nonary!! When power tools attack, they attack swiftly and without mercy!!! :)
Hesitant, but I decided to try this. I tried it and it went perfect. Thank you very much
Getting this right after the July PC sales is awesome!
A lot of good woodworkers are missing a finger. You were almost a good woodworker.
I'm glad I'm still an amateur. 😂🤣😅
Rich, talking about Thumb Drives, How's you Thumb!!
Doing well, I've had my stitches taken out since the video was filmed and it's just a thumb now. 🤣😂
I love it. I haven't worked in IT Desktop Support since 2005, forgotten most of it, and even I could do this. Thank you.
Keep up the great work and thank you! ...Jeff
All of my windows 11 on unsupported hardware videos should work for upgrading as well as fresh installs. If they don't I mention that in the video.
Really? 😂. I never win anything 😊 🎉. That’s great!
Thanks for this. Microsoft has been really insistent lately that I upgrade to Windows 11 - especially with end of support coming next year - so I figure I better stop putting it off and get myself acclimated.
I'm a guitar builder. I bought a router table a couple years ago. That thing scared the sh!t out of me. I was never comfortable around it and as a result I never used it. Decided I didn't really need it. Sold it. Just not for me. Glad you're ok!
This looks great. Even better would be having the answer file integrated in the actual ISO file so it could be used with Ventoy intead of having a separate USB stick fro every version of Windows.
I just did this on an 11 year old Dell laptop and
it was glorious! Thank you.
Thnx man 🤝🏾
this is great! I was able to make the drive on UTM virtualized Win11 running on an M2 MacBook Air and then ran the install on an old Intel Mac and it worked flawlessly!
Brilliant, thanks !
Great walk through, I just used this to install windows 11 on my new pc, very easy, much appreciated :)
Great work! I'm missing something: How do I run the setup USB from Virtualbox? 18:07 you show the windows 11 already sitting there?
same problem
Follow the "Persons" link on the site's main page, run it through Translate if you sprich kein deutsch :)

The main disadvantage I see here is the inability to specify the LTSC edition. I'll write to the author to add it.

I spent 10 years renovating and furnishing a barn to be my residence and workshop. Made every stick of furniture (lots of router work) and not one cut. I solder in the nude! I strongly agree with the comment which stated that you should go with the interactive partitioning as in plenty of cases you got computers with one ssd and one HDD
That will give you the product key of your windows license.
you can bind the license to your Microsoft account
@@adrnik19 Yes which is what i believe had happened in the past with all of my licenses keys at some point in the past in the Windows 8 era. Even though I'm not using a Microsoft account currently on my PCs. Even then doing clean installs i never have to enter in a product key, and it's a retail product key. It just works. If i build a new PC i buy a new key, but then at some point it reverts to that default key at some point but I don't login to my Microsoft account.

Great video, but there is no link for the german website to get this file.
Sorry, it's in the description now.
This is pretty awesome. I thought creating an ISO like this was way complicated. Beats trying custom isos. 🤘🏻
5:43 is when the reason you clicked on the video starts.
this is really nice actually. just running this installer vs installing win 11 normally saved me like 15% of my 16gb ram that was being used at startup. and for my ROG ALLY, thats a big deal.
I used this and it worked perfect. Best method yet. I will also test it on an actual DVD and let you know how it works. Don't see why it wouldn't.
What is the link for this super tool?
Sorry, it's in the description now.

Why go through the trouble? Just move to Linux. You are going to have to in the future anyway.
"Eyeroll" keep telling yourself that. Every Linux echo chamber fanboy has been saying it for decades.
As someone who has used it, cope bro.
Haha, oh man. Some really believe that :-D
Maybe when a majority of games are on Linux.
