Thank you for the list. Of course it is important to realise that this list could be applied to numerous health issues. Having cramps and other nerve related symptoms or any of the items on the list does not necessarily mean one is magnesium deficient. An individual may have an imbalance of other electrolytes such as high potassium (Vit.K) in relation to the others such as sodium, magnesium, calcium etc., etc.,. Then there's age related and genetic issues that should be taken into consideration. Anyone that has lived with disordered eating should consider this with regard to osteoprosis. Constipation can have a psychological component and of course, anxiety and/or mood changes can be hormonal and/or age or circumstance related. I could continue with all other items on the list but my point is that there is no "magnesium" issue for any and all that live with items on this list.

My magnesium levels were dangerously low to the point of me having serious heart arrhythmias, difficulty breathing, sleeping, concentrating, visual disturbances and my anxiety was so bad I had to be put on Xanax, not to mention I was going through menopausal symptoms with unbelievable hot flashes. I was an emotional train wreck and I saw three different physicians and no one bothered to check my magnesium levels. It wasn’t discovered until I started having heart issues and almost died. To top it all off I also had a vitamin D3 deficiency that was also dangerously low. I have no faith in doctors these days, I’ve learned to trust in God and heal my own health issues.

@janeenutley3167 I've also used the transdermal method. Works great too. Except I get really annoyed w sitting in the tub nightly for 40 mins. I did the homemade spray, which saves a lot of money but after 3 yrs of it almost nightly I began having a reaction. I cannot do the spray anymore, it's too much rawness to deal with, not worth it so I went to soaking in the tub. Did that consistently for 5 months then decided taking the pill form is much cheaper than the mag chloride flakes and it's cheaper still to do the spray. But like I said w the spray I get the reaction now. I just go by how I'm feeling if I need to increase or decrease. I will also say that I am on 2 diuretics which drain the fluid right outta ya along w the electros.

Muscle tension is another. I had a terrible time with muscle tension and couldn't sand long until I came across info about magnesium and that fixed it. But with the Vit D you should mention that supplementing vitamin d requires 100 mg of mag for every 1000 IU's of vit D because vitamin D apparently depletes magnesium. So taking D without adequate mag will eventually knock it out of balance. Another critical sign is having difficulty swallowing . Taking adequate mag fixes this .

@@christabelleblue9901it’s the other way around. Magnesium is needed to convert vitamin D to be used efficiently. So when you take vitamin D, it uses up magnesium, if you don’t have enough magnesium it depletes it. Also your vitamin D that you intake won’t be effective or be able to be used properly because there’s no magnesium to help.

The world needs more Physicians M.D. like you, who studied medicine to help.people heal. For many years I had a wound in both arms, the doctors said it was psoriasis and gave me corticosteroids, that did not help.me heal. I did a research and I find out, when a person has a skin problem, has a zinc deficiency. I started taking zinc, Magnesium Citrate, Potasioum Citrate and my skin healed. Besides I take vitamin C and B complex. May God Always Protect You and Bless You with All the Best 😃 🙏 ❤🙏

It felt as if my muscles were trying to rip themselves clear off the bones. I have to make sure I take my Cal-Mag before I go to bed. I’ve had horrible cramps in my lower leg muscles that literally pull the top of my foot up or twist the movement of my feet and is so excruciating-there’s no words for it.

With the multiple choices of the types of magnesium to choose from, it leaves me scratching my head and wondering why NONE of these UA-cam doctors explain which type would be best to get. Plus, most of these UA-cam doctors NEVER respond to viewers questions asked in the comment section. Which makes most of these types of videos a waste of time to watch. I see ONE reply on here, but it's only about the background music being annoying. Such a big help to the main subject here!!

I was having all sorts of strange symptoms, including twitching of my muscles all over my body, especially my eyes. It was very evident so anyone talking to me or looking at me and I even had to stop wearing mascara. I was having chronic diarrhea and my GI wanted to do a colonoscopy, so of course, I had the night before prep. The more of the concoction that I drank, the better I felt! The twitches stopped, I wasn’t as tired, no brain fog, etc. I mentioned it to my PCP the day after and she ordered a bunch of bloodwork and immediately made me an appointment with a nephrologist. He was very thorough and was so excited to see my bloodwork. He’d never seen anyone that low in ALL of their electrolytes, especially magnesium. By the time my appointment was ending, he tapped on my face near my eye and my lip jerked like Elvis’. He was thrilled. He even called the janitor in (only person left in the building) to show them. He said that was a class book symptom, one that you never see in medical school, but read about. He called magnesium the “bastard electrolyte” because nobody ever checks for it. He said it’s really unusual to be that low. He put me on 3200 mg of magnesium oxide per day. And I already had chronic diarrhea. But I really couldn’t tell that it made any difference. I also had to take several other minerals and vitamins that I wasn’t absorbing. It was determined that’s my IBD from Mast Cell Disorder has something to do with the malabsorption. I had to get bloodwork done 3 times a week in the beginning to make sure everything was on track. Sometimes, they’d call me while in the grocery store and tell me to get to the hospital for an infusion of whatever I was low in, usually magnesium or phosphorus. Then I’d get back to what I was doing. I’m taking Magnesium Oxide (Magnesium-Ox) per my doctor. He said it was easier to absorb with the type of issues I have. I’ve seen where others are more likely to absorb, but I listen to him. I’m now taking 2400 mg, sometimes 1600 to maintain a “low to medium normal” level.

Now the only infusion I’mhaving to get is iron. I stay low on serum iron. If you feel weak, out of breath, no energy, but your hemoglobin is normal or close to it, have your doctor check ferritin and iron saturation. My iron saturation will be off the charts low, while my hemoglobin will be almost normal. Then I get an iron Dextran infusion and feel MUCH better! I see a hematologist for very detailed bloodwork every couple of months. I get an infusion usually about every 6 months or so.

I've also been diagnosed as border line anemic, have had very low vitamin K before too when I was struggling with shortness of breath, and extreme fatigue that hit suddenly that led to me feeling dizzy, almost like I was "high" though I was not at all, and about to faint followed by loss of color in my skin. anyhow. I have magnesium here that I don't take regularly. time to start!

The best thing I do for my health each day is spray magnesium chloride on my whole body, minus the sensitive parts. It has transformed my life after years of panic attacks, muscle twitching, low energy, and poor sleep. It's literally pennies a day for this investment in my health. I purchased a 1 1/2 gallon container of it 3 years ago and I use it daily. It was less than 100 dollars for this product that has lasted me over 1000 days. I use 60 to 80 sprays a day, with a whole body application. It is a but uncomfortable the first few times but that feeling fades away after using it daily for a week or so. I am so grateful to have learned about this product a decade ago, it has changed my life. I only wish I could get my wife and kids to invest the time each day in their health.

Even knowing my deficiencies and been medically diagnosed for over 20 years with depression and ADHD My Magnesium was tanked, along with my potassium after forgetting to take my supplements and was eating terribly after a family trauma. My biggest sudden major symptom was breathing trouble and muscle paralysis. It was terrifying.

He literally covers that specifically in another video. A little due diligence goes a long way. I usually hit up google scholar when I'm curious about something so I can read peer reviewed scientific articles about things I want to learn. Stay contrary.

@@frankblakley8249I don’t have anything of value to add but I love this advice: “Stay contrary”. I will definitely be using this!

I too forgot all about my malabsorption issue during a traumatic situation and didn’t pay attention to my intake (and i never knew about magnesium) Im in my 60’s and noticed i was becoming weak in my leg strength and dexterity even tho i work on my feet all day. I began exercise but realized there was no change, not even a little. And I thought it was age. I do have hypothyroidism and thought other symptoms were from that. My moods were so off the charts that my coworkers noticed. My voice tones changed. I was having severe leg / feet cramps at night, I couldn’t hold back screaming from pain. And the irony is i kept magnesium on hand just for that! I’d take a handful and in an hour the cramping would stop. I believe God answered my prayers when I began seeing magnesium pop up in my feed, and one day I checked it out. To say i was shocked! Now about 5 months later, no cramping, much less anxiety, smoother mood, incredible wonderful deep sleep and dreams, my lower legs are getting that sense of dexterity back very slowly as well as strength slowly. Im talking getting up from a low chair or foot stool, or stepping down stairs or just a curb. The list goes on! So, better nutrition, vitamins, supplements, and the rest of it!
