- Certain gaming franchises cement themselves in the history books of the medium as eternal fan favourites because of how consistently they keep blowing expectations out of the water, but even for the best of the best franchises, it can be difficult to have a completely spotless track record.
Even some of the biggest and most beloved franchises have stumbled in some pretty significant ways over the years, and here, that is exactly what we are going to be talking about. Join us as we take a look at a few video game franchises that have had some noticeable dips, while also talking about what exactly those dips were, and what they did to their respective franchise. - Ігри
Compared to the OG trilogy Mass Effect Andromeda certainly was lacking in the story but I still enjoyed it. Shame we never got the dlc for it.
The problem for me was the characters. They range from boring to just downright unlikable with only good one being the old krogan
@@mtnman8783 Agreed. But I still had fun with it. Not worth full price for sure but it’s always on sale and I think you can have a good time with it if you don’t campare it too much to the og trilogy.
@@BetterCallJim yeah I got it for $10 back right after it dropped. Definitely worth that.
It's a solid game, and perhaps that's the problem. It's disappointingly average. It wasn't terrible, but nothing drew me in. Could customize weapons, mods, skills and yet just lacked something to push it past mediocre.
Krogan have the best personality. Cora was annoying and boring; bornoying?
You picked RE6 over RE Survivor, Gaiden, Dead Aim? Also Ninja Gaiden 3 wasn’t the last entry. We got Razors Edge to fix the game and it was actually a better experience. Last entry was Yaiba which was terrible.
How did Arkham series suicide squad kill the justice league not make this list?
Because like star wars we refuse to accept it as canon

X7 was hot garbage and not fun, X6 was decent but i choose that game over X7

despite what people say i rather enjoyed Megaman X6, it was X7 that was terrible in my experience.
Honestly we could include Dead Space 3 into the mix along with the 2012 of NFS Most Wanted reboot.
X6 is more playable than X7 which was slow and not fun to play.
Gta chinatown, mafia 3, dead space 3, fable 3 metal gear after phantom pain

I'm surprised Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness is not on the list.
Ahem, there was one game between Saints Row 4 and Saints Row '22 that served as a direct sequel to Saints Row 4, and that's Saints Row Gat Out of Hell. Why so many people forget that fact is beyond me since that game was the most hated prior to Saints Row '22's release, and considering the latter had Cry Baby Inc involved, I'd rather play Gat Out of Hell instead.
They were both equally trash
It wasn't Volition that screwed up the rebooted Saints Row. As all reports I have seen say they wanted to do a SR 2.5 style story and Deep Silver demanded they do the mess the game turned into.
Y'all should make a list of games that featured big name celebrities but flopped
With all the remakes of RE since 2019 , RE Became the best Franchise in gaming.
I'm super confident that RE5 will be Amazing.
But when it comes to RE6 , CAPCOM Will have to reimagine the entire game.

I agree, I have played the NFS 2015 recently and it is really solid game.
Mass Effect Andromeda wasn’t bad just because it launched in a very buggy state. The story, the crew, and the lack of species variety were extremely disappointing. The combat was fun, but that was about the only good in an otherwise major flop.
Dnf is just misunderstood and I enjoyed playing it
But Sonic 06 was awful because it was rushed

Nfs(2015) was far better than payback that should have been on the list
Payback was an obvious copycat of horizon 3

Can't agree with nfs2015, is not the best, but is far from the worst.
You have pro street, undercover, most wanted2012, and shift.
Even payback is worse a than 2015.
