My concern is that the cast of characters in terms of powers seems to lack diversity. I mean we have, a super soldier, a super soldier but russian, a super soldier but metal arm, a spy/assassin. Someone that can phase through stuff. And someone that is a master at tasks😉. Also it seemed like they were setting up abomination as a possible member with him showing up recently. But no i guess not.

Marvel needs to have all the movies connected to one main story for a ten year span to keep things rolling. It needs to end with a climactic epic that also hints toward the next series of movies with a new plot with a new major villain. until they do this all we are going to get is this crap. From the first Ironman, Cap, Thor, and Hulk stories I was always looking forward to what was next. Now I kind of just cringe my way through things. Guardians was awesome too, i can't let them out.

There are entirely too many mispronounced character names in this for me to take it seriously. No love for Bucky leading the team on and off for almost the last ten years? Kamala was retconned into being a mutant because that was the original plan a decade plus ago before the edict to play down mutants and promote the Inhumans. He’s correcting a mistake that should never have been made. Iron Man was never a Thunderbolt. He was a double agent disguised as Cobalt Man. The current iteration of the team IS named that for a reason, and the next arc features characters like Songbird and Atlas, too, but okay.

That is, instead of choosing already well-established characters in the universe that clearly correspond to the theme of the film, about people with abilities who were abandoned by everyone and now do not know what to do in this life, you propose to introduce seven more new characters and start developing them all for one movie, just because it was in the comics, from which they just took the title for the movie? The Eternals did this a couple of years ago, did it work out very well? Not everything that works in comics will work in MCU. Yes, if all or at least some of these characters that were in the Thunderbolts comics were already established in the MCU and Feige did not want to use them, then yes, it might be stupid, but in this case I think he acted wisely. Especially if the film turns out to be successful. P.S. Zemo from MCU is also not very suitable for the leader of the team as in the comics, because in the film and the series he was declared as someone who thinks that people with superpowers should not exist, so he wants to destroy them all. It would be strange if after this, he would gather his team of super people and pretend to be a hero.
@@vova2422 I’m saying that if they want to do this story they shouldn’t give it the name of a different story people loved. It just sets fans up for disappointment regardless of if the movie is good or not. I think that if they’d done a better job at adapting the Eternals instead of just changing everything, the movie would have done a bit better. Zemo is very different in the MCU, the couldn’t do a straight adaptation. But they could have him manipulating the villains he recruits for his own purposes, and maybe even plan to kill them all at the end. And they could have still used established MCU villains like Ghost or Abomination and it would still share the original idea of the comics.
@Fantagonistic Well, maybe you're right about the name. Because I remembered Secret Invasion, which just took a cool title from the comic, but it seems to be completely different from it. To be honest, I didn't really know that the Thunderbolts were such a popular team in the comics that people would get really upset if they changed everything. Just try to see them as just another iteration of this team, of which there seem to have been quite a few indeed. And everything can really happen as you said in the video, they can later introduce those characters from the comics and make a more canonical team.
Figie should realy keep the comics as it is and do what he wants in the MCU. The reason i don't like race swap and gender swap in the MCU is bacause of how MARVEL will try to Retcon the comics to match the MCU. Perfect example is the Eternals, they did both by swaping the genders of Ajak, Makkari and Sprite, while also Race swaping Kingo from Japanese to Indian which also transfered to the comics. And the retcin was, the Eternals had to die and be reincarnated to the genders of their choosing ! The Marvel's Dar ben was also Race swapped from the comics from Male to Female. But that was not a concern cinsidering Dar ben was a one off villain in the comics. And the upcoming characters, Silver Surfer and Wonder man got this treetment as well. Silver surfer is gonna be a woman while Wonder Man is gonna be race swapped. I don't mind the difference in the MCU but as this happens in the movies, the Retcon in the comics will be way worst, as the in universe reasoning will be terrible as f#%k ! You want representation, just add in the existing characters in the comics insted of swaping race and genders from the original source Material. Just imagine race Swaping the Black Panther or Blue Marvel to be white men. It will not look great right !

No one was complaining it wasn’t the original GotG line up because they weren’t that big of a part of comic continuity. The Thunderbolts here are a completely different idea than the comics were. Doesn’t mean the movie will be bad, but it is something else entirely.

Later versions that strayed to completely different ideas never lasted as long and those are where a lotta the other random characters on those lists came from. The team has a meaning of being ex-villains either disguised as heroes or becoming heroes. There’ve been a million Avengers too, but you wouldn’t like if they just grabbed random characters and called it The Avengers.
Hey man, if they can put Poka Dot Man and Arm Fall Off Boy in a Suicide Squad movie then I don't think the comic accuracy thing holds water anymore. What really matters is if the movie itself is good period. I think the roster of characters is uninteresting not because they don't reflect comic versions but because it's clear this is Marvel's version of a trash pit of characters they don't know what else to do with at the time.

It may have been an idea before, but when they actually did it it was a mandate straight from Feige for the specific purpose of making her the first mutant in the MCU.

Yes, if all or at least some of these characters that were in the Thunderbolts comics were already established in the MCU and Feige did not want to use them, then yes, it might be stupid, but in this case I think he acted wisely. Especially if the film turns out to be successful.
P.S. Zemo from MCU is also not very suitable for the leader of the team as in the comics, because in the film and the series he was declared as someone who thinks that people with superpowers should not exist, so he wants to destroy them all. It would be strange if after this, he would gather his team of super people and pretend to be a hero.
@@vova2422 I’m saying that if they want to do this story they shouldn’t give it the name of a different story people loved. It just sets fans up for disappointment regardless of if the movie is good or not.
I think that if they’d done a better job at adapting the Eternals instead of just changing everything, the movie would have done a bit better.
Zemo is very different in the MCU, the couldn’t do a straight adaptation. But they could have him manipulating the villains he recruits for his own purposes, and maybe even plan to kill them all at the end. And they could have still used established MCU villains like Ghost or Abomination and it would still share the original idea of the comics.
@Fantagonistic Well, maybe you're right about the name. Because I remembered Secret Invasion, which just took a cool title from the comic, but it seems to be completely different from it. To be honest, I didn't really know that the Thunderbolts were such a popular team in the comics that people would get really upset if they changed everything. Just try to see them as just another iteration of this team, of which there seem to have been quite a few indeed. And everything can really happen as you said in the video, they can later introduce those characters from the comics and make a more canonical team.

Figie should realy keep the comics as it is and do what he wants in the MCU. The reason i don't like race swap and gender swap in the MCU is bacause of how MARVEL will try to Retcon the comics to match the MCU. Perfect example is the Eternals, they did both by swaping the genders of Ajak, Makkari and Sprite, while also Race swaping Kingo from Japanese to Indian which also transfered to the comics. And the retcin was, the Eternals had to die and be reincarnated to the genders of their choosing ! The Marvel's Dar ben was also Race swapped from the comics from Male to Female. But that was not a concern cinsidering Dar ben was a one off villain in the comics. And the upcoming characters, Silver Surfer and Wonder man got this treetment as well. Silver surfer is gonna be a woman while Wonder Man is gonna be race swapped. I don't mind the difference in the MCU but as this happens in the movies, the Retcon in the comics will be way worst, as the in universe reasoning will be terrible as f#%k ! You want representation, just add in the existing characters in the comics insted of swaping race and genders from the original source Material. Just imagine race Swaping the Black Panther or Blue Marvel to be white men. It will not look great right !

@@SaveDareDevil-Mx The Guardians had characters from the most well known and popular Guardians of the Galaxy line up as the team of the movie. No one was complaining it wasn’t the original GotG line up because they weren’t that big of a part of comic continuity. The Thunderbolts here are a completely different idea than the comics were. Doesn’t mean the movie will be bad, but it is something else entirely.

@@hawkwatkins8235 The original version of the team had over a hundred issues across years with a core cast. Later versions that strayed to completely different ideas never lasted as long and those are where a lotta the other random characters on those lists came from. The team has a meaning of being ex-villains either disguised as heroes or becoming heroes. There’ve been a million Avengers too, but you wouldn’t like if they just grabbed random characters and called it The Avengers.
Hey man, if they can put Poka Dot Man and Arm Fall Off Boy in a Suicide Squad movie then I don't think the comic accuracy thing holds water anymore. What really matters is if the movie itself is good period. I think the roster of characters is uninteresting not because they don't reflect comic versions but because it's clear this is Marvel's version of a trash pit of characters they don't know what else to do with at the time.

For SS I think using Polka Dot Man was fine because the spirit of the SS is low level villains no one will miss. But Arm Fall Off Boy being used annoyed me

How do u not realize that doing that was not only planned from even earlier on, (as soon as ike got dethroned) but also one of the most genius character developments for the universe as a whole, cuz not only did kamala become the healing bridge between mutants & inhumans, (how had there not been a human with both genes b4 in the comics) but she’s now the link between most factions of of the universe including the cosmic side! She is poetically the single stretchy connective tissue between em all, she is who brings everyone together. She’s on the level of importance as peter parker, & not just via being popular like hulk & wolverine, but rather thru actual important & literal or technical means, someone which we haven’t had in a fat while. & it just being one that also uplifts the muslim community to a level of respect from comic fans & people who feared them or held on to feelings of disgust towards them for years is just the most amazing added bonus of it all.

Which in turn led to the opportunity of making kamala an even richer mutant character, (especially after the inhuman & mutant conflict plus judgement day) & they took it in the most genius stroke of writing in a while

@Fantagonistic Feige has always said it was never supposed to be a 1 to 1 of the comics. Plus, rumor has it that the asterisk means that this title is just a place holder for the Dark Avengers. Personally, I think this team is suited to handle black ops missions & should be called Secret Avengers

@@indatube I don’t hate Feige. The writer of that comic said in an interview he was specifically told by Feige to turn Kamala into a mutant. It may have been an idea before, but when they actually did it it was a mandate straight from Feige for the specific purpose of making her the first mutant in the MCU.

And F4 will be Make or Break ? But casting Shalla Bal the least popular / least known Surfer over her Husband Norin Radd The Actual Beloved and #1 most popular Surfer is off to a bad start.
