It's more than likely Gerald will betray everyone. Gerald wants to destroy the world, while Eggman wants to rule it. Shadow will remember what Maria's promise was, so it's possible Gerald is the true main villain of the movie.
I feel like the ark could hold a secret weapon if they deactivate the ark. Like Gerald could activate it as a last attempt to destroy earth and we get a final battle with live and learn.
I can already tell we’re gonna get a gut punch of emotions, especially with Shadow and Maria holding hands in the field of flowers like in Dark Beginnings. It's tragic that Shadow’s canon event is losing Maria😭
My favorite part was probably the shots where it goes from shadow in the tube with him and Maria touching the tank looking like their touching hands to him outside the tube with him touching it the same way with this sad and angry look. I think that’s a perfect series of shots for his character as well as just being sad. Like all we’ve seen in the trailers so far was this anger and fury but this humanizes him a lot. And ofc fans of sonic prior to the movies will already know that he’s not just angry but this is a great way to show it to people who’ve become fans bc of the movies

If actual sonic fans don't know that there's a problem as even in Sonic Frontiers he still get's tired when he flies for too long. And even at top speed he can ALMOST keep up with Sonic so adding the jetpack makes sense especially if their racing.

I think Tails using a Jetpack makes sense. He can fly, but only for a short amount of time. Plus, he needs that extra boost to keep up with Sonic.
