Mal sehen...

    I picked up a ps5 pro the other day and it’s got the Delta fan in it. Luckily I haven’t heard any sort of fan noise or coil whine with mine other than I can hear the sound of the air being pushed out plus the console stays way cooler than the PS5 Slim that I once had.

      It seems on new consoles it is ideally better to put it horizontally for a few weeks than it won't sound vertically. My pro sounds like a jet vertically I moved it horizontally on the default plastic legs to stay and no sound from the console.

    I finally opened my PS5 to see which fan I have. I was curious because my console is so ridiculously quiet I wanted to know. I have a Foxconn.
    I can’t even hear my fan unless I’m right in front of it. The coil whine is also so low you can’t hear it without putting your ear to the back. I’ve seen some with worse coil whine than my launch PS5.
    I’m super happy with the Foxconn, the bearing on mine is really good you can’t hear it spin, just air.

    Thanks for the video buddy. But what is this truck or bell noise like in intervals? Some have this in louder too? Is it from the fan? Because it's way more noticable on game. I had 3 units at home. 3rd seemed perfect in main menu but jad this noise in like intervals pretty loud. Then I noticed my 2nd unit has this too but not as loud and annoying. Both are Foxconn and one is F2 and the other more annoying one was F1. But I am not 100 % sure if the noise is actually from the fan.

    So, my PRO has a foxconn fan installed and it is very loud and has some kind of whistling sound. The fan only runs quietly when in the menu, but as soon as you open a game (no matter how graphically advanced), the fan immediately starts running at very high speeds. It feels like the fan speed in games is always the same, and does not depend on the load.
    I opened the “Horizon Zero Dawn: remastered” digital artbook and the fan immediately started spinning at high speed, blowing out cold air (facepalm).
    Is it normal for the fan to constantly spin at high speeds, or is it a defect? I thought the fan should only increase RPM when under heavy load.

    • @McKuc
      @McKuc  2 місяці тому +1

      @@jevgenijsjeremejevs5308 it is normal. When everything is cooling well enough, it does not need to spin up even higher. If it overheats, it will increase the rpm even higher. The fans on the pro and Slim spin at higher RPMs then the phat ones. If you want a really silent console, you can try another fan or get a cfi-12

    • @McKuc
      @McKuc  2 місяці тому +1

      @jevgenijsjeremejevs5308 i probably would not use 3rd party fans. Like on all previous models after some time the original fans were available. You can return the console if you do not like it, or wait for a replacement fan. If the coilwhine is low and you return it and buy another one, you will maybe get one that has more coilwhine. Best option is to wait a few months. In a few months the price will drop and they will maybe release a new revision that is more silent. A limited GTA6 edition would be cool ;) Only if you need a Pro on low FW, you should get it asap..

      I also think that the fan can also impact the vrm noise.. as marc says here. Its constantly at boost mode and it adjusts the frequency to the cooling solution.. if a fan cools better it can stay all the time at higher boosts and the vrms would push the same currents.. if the fan does not keep up that good, it will more often thermally throttle and it then sounds different. So the Horizontal and vertical position should also impact it a bit. Its complicated haha
      If the console clocks down and is still too hot, it has to ramp up the fan. It has to stay at some minimum clocks to ensure good gameplay.. if the cooling solution can not cool it good enough although the clocks are at min, it has to ramp up the fan as last solution. So this is what happens with slow spinning fans that ramp up after some time of gaming. I think it is better to avoid that. Theoretically better cooling means better fps and graphics (less downscaling).

    • @McKuc
      @McKuc  2 місяці тому

      On the slim it depends on the fan. I expected that for the very silent foxconn my 2nd slim came with. Did not test it so far because i use the cfi12. On pro i do not think that this will happen when it is clean. You can get another fan or use a fanspeed accelerator for the slim to prevent rampup and down during gaming.

The Slim might overheat then right? Pro fan probably doesn't fit anyway because it's too deep. I have both Slim and Pro and dislike the noise of both. I already had five PS5s and I hated every single one. While I love my one and only Xbox Series X because it's so well made and almost dead silent. The only sound that comes out of it is just a bit of gentle wind sound from the fan and not tons of different sounds like on PS5 and every PS5 console sounds different even if they have the same fan inside. Sony simply sucks when it comes to quality and they dare charge 800€ in Europe for such a poorly made console. They should take a look at MS on how to make a quality console.
