I'm ashamed to say that I discovered buck cherry through a cringey wedding video.... Only to be surprised by how raw and truly talented this lively group really is.
Somehow I never heard Buckcherry's version of this Deep Purple classic. Obviously not as good as the original, but, I do like it. I think Buckcherry did a great job.
As a heterosexual man, I admire his masculinity, energy and the ability to pay respect to Deep Purple with such intensity that may even equal or surpass the original version .
Well to be honest , I do regret making that comment because it sounds weird but basically it was meant as a compliment to the artist . It is what came across my mind at the time but I wish I had not said it
vocals are weak, drum fills sucks can't even play triplets on bass drum like Paice, mediocre bassline compared to Glover, no organ solo, guitars not even comparable to Blackmore, of course it's better than the original
I loved Deep Purple , had all their music back in the day , but I'm telling you , these guys kicked ass on this song from singing which is just the right attitude for this song to musical sound just f-ing awesome ! Doesn't have to be as long as long as it's better ! Taking my 17 year old daughter to see them at the Montclair, Wellmont Theater on March 10th, can't wait !!!
