I did this job a couple of weeks ago in my garage for the first time. Thankfully, everything we according to plan. Your other videos helped out with regards to pulling out and placing the transmission back in. I had to watch another video on the complete rebuild of the transmission. I ended up changing everything except for the overdrive. Great job man!
@doingstuffwithdylan4367 been working on my gf's escape for the second time now. Your video is like a gift from the Jesus Chrysler himself. One thing you do so well is get them top bolts out from behind those stupid coolant lines I spent such a long time on those the first time. Do you prefill the torque converter before install btw?
I don’t take more than two hours to take them out or to put them back in so four hours total and we rebuild them. We don’t put in remanufactured ones and we would charge whatever the book calls for to swap one
Im forced to do this in my family room of all places. I saw you used a press , i don't have one. Am i screwed? Also what kinda grease do i use. Looks like you had blue stuff.
Hi , I need a transmission for 2017 Ford escape 2wd 1.5 litter. I found one at the junkyard same description at 28,000 miles. Only difference is that it is a 2019 model. Will this work for me?
It should work if it’s a 2 Wheel Dr., 1.5 L there may be a start start motor thing on the side of it. You might have to leave on there and just not plug-in.
@@doingstuffwithdylan4367 Thanks again. I'm going to watch your videos again tonight. I'm going to pull this transmission out this weekend alone. I just hope these jack stands will be tall enough to drop it.
@@doingstuffwithdylan4367 I hear the newer Escape auto transmissions aren't quite as bad. I have a 2014 2.0L ecoboost. Slips in 6th gear. RPM too high for speed. Check engine on for a week off for a day rinse and repeat. Been doing that for years. Gas mileage drops 3 to 5 mpg depending how bad it's slipping. Maintenance makes no difference. Do the newer, supposedly better, auto transmissions fit the 2014?

How long would it you to swap one out and what would you charge if you put in a remanucatured transmission
