Hey Dustin,
This was on sale at my local toy’s r us not too long ago. Being am a huge Star Wars fan also, I decided to check it out. I flew it in my back yard on a windless day. Same as you, the quad was uncontrollable. It barely took off, when it did it flew where it wanted too. I felt too much foam, and under powered motors were the cause. It went right back. I also have the smaller one, which flies much better. Keep them reviews coming!

You're not supposed to fly these with the covers over the blades. That's for display only. I have two of these and they fly just fine. I never have the blade covers on.

There is a training video and the first instruction for flight is remove the prop guards. I've had six of these and I believe you had a good one. The good ones can take off and fly a lil' with the prop guards on. The bad ones are completely unflyable with the guards on
Dustin thks for the review. I would have thought this was a must have. Iam hoping the smaller one works better. Another viewer thought it was.

I bought one recently and it doesn't have any of these issues, it flies fine. It sounds like you got a dud.

Thanks for the review Dustin. I have several drones but it looks like you're really having a tough time controlling this thing. It really looks neat but I will avoid buying one. I did actually have a small Air Hogs helicopter before drones were even a thing. I found that copter impossible to fly and stabilize. I ended up giving up on it. Maybe all Air Hogs products are bad like that
Did you notice the second time the drone fall on the table it has flip to the opposite side?
Good review! Have you gone back to this Falcon or did you end up returning it? Upgrades, figure it out better? I just got one as a gift (love that woman) and after seeing a bunch of reviews on it, it needs upgrading! So, did you revisit this one?

aw, that's too bad. I was given one as a gift, missing its charger but I can replace it, I am going to upgrade it, make it better, somehow.
Maybe you should turn off the central AC lol. They are really rushing these out before ready. People will take It back to store after they done playing.
The alarm sounds make me think that the sensors are detecting close proximity to furniture and stuff. Maybe outside it works better? Anyway, I will avoid this drone, thank you for the nice review.
The smaller version works VERY WELL but the battery life is like 5min for an hour charge.
There was a couple UA-cam videos where they flew the XL outside very well. It probably takes practice & getting use to. Still WAY TOO MUCH MONEY for the quality of this. I'd pay maybe $50-$80 for it

Well. After yours review the price has dropped to 99 bucks. Not bad. Maybe outside would perform better but I doubt it.
Remove the inner and add high grade drone trust me it fly nice

lots of bad reviews on this one but I bought it anyways, for $97 shipped you cant beat the wow factor. Mine does the same thing, there is definitely something wrong with it from the factory.
Dustan, do you know if Propel will ever put out the Millennium Falcon, it seemed like thy started but nothing?
I hope they do but I'd imagine it may be huge licensing costs in USA might be issue. Not sure though
Dustin, you gotta modd this brushless motors kiss fc racerstar 2205 2300kv motors racerstar 20-30amp v2 blheli s esc's and since mainly foam cut out for larger lipo but you also still have the xk251 quadcopter use all that stuff motors esc;s fc & tx or xk252 i think that is same as xk251 but with camera and self level or does the xk252 still lose alt going fast forward like xk251? i think that would make a great modd and your an excellent at modding. but those propel ones now there just awsome just wish they used brushless mini motors but when you opened that propel box i fell of my bed that was epic! is there a deal if you buy all 3? or are they always 199.99usd?

just a thought, what does the book say about trim calibration. Zero your trim before calibration, maybe.
+Robert L yes, I made sure they were Zerod. It just has issues from what I'm hearing.
I noticed it seemed to take off good the first time. But after some flight and your calibration attempt it seemed to get worse. So I'm thinking it's either not calibrating correctly or the battery wasn't fully charged.
I found the same model online for less than $100. So if you payed over $300 and still having issues, I would send it back for a refund and try the cheaper one maybe.

I have a Propel Sky Rider. It was my first drone and my first experience flying. I found it very easy to get used to quickly never had any damage to it. It's a great drone to learn how to fly

the reason why the Drone will not have left is because the motors are not strong enough to support it that's what everybody has said about this that's why you can get this thing now for maybe less than 60 bucks which is still a lot more than it's worth if I can get for like twenty bucks I'd buy in a heartbeat maybe Thirty tops but I'm not even going to pay 60 for it you know I'm going to wait to propel gets there is coming out and then that thing will be the one to get this basically is a dud it really is it was a complete flop if you want to Millennium Falcon get the smaller version to be much more happier this one is not with the force and it's not with the dark side it's with the trash can....
