CCxRC Yeah, indeed. Definitely gonna have to pass on this one, unless Air Hogs wants to sponsor me one, even knowing that I'll give it a bad review. heh I think they're gonna take some heat, and possibly a great loss in revenue, for this one. :(
Wow. That's a bummer. I'm so glad I didn't buy one last night. After your video, I ran to my Toys R Us and they had 3.Had it in hand, but I kept thinking, this box is so light for $300 so I left. I think I made a good choice.
Very easy to fly when ya remove those prop guards. I didn't pay $300 and wouldn't, was about to return it until I found the Millenium Falcon XL training video that instructed me to remove the prop guards before flight.
Indeed I have seen the other video now... after a few crashes I have a bent rotor shaft wich I observed through the lil' engine rotor housing side window. Mine don't fly at all but did fly just like yours for a while with loud buzzing motor. Gonna try to bend it
I just picked this up brand new in box at a yard sale for 65 bucks. they were asking 75 but we talked them down, and now glad I did. didn't realize the thing was just foam... but I think it was a decent enough buy for 65. went by another sale and they had one going for 150! Got it charging now, hope to have a little fun with it so it is t a total bust
my dad is letting me sell he's because it's missing the back light and prop gaurds. we put up a garage sell today and I tryed to sell it for 60 bucks maybe 50 but so far no one's interested. I'm I asking for to much money since it's missing 2 things
The Mighty Gamer T_dawg eh, the prop guards are for decoration and not to be while flying it, so I wouldn't worry about those. I think someone would pay 50 for it.
+Jimmy Louis good question. But starting at $300 and then adding to the cost seems crazy. You'd also want a new esc and board to handle better batteries. So in the end it would be $300 for a foam body 😀
hey what's up wild man thanks for the very cool unboxing and I was a little bummed when that thing didn't fly as good as what you think it would like you said maybe you got one that ain't that good or maybe you gotta burn a few batteries before it takes off good maybe exchange it for another one if not or even get your money back unless it's a shelf Queen it does look badass man best of luck brother I hope it ends up burning rubber LOL
+Roy Nelson well mine definitely was a bust. I'm taking it back. Can't fly it with an degree of accuracy or fun and I can do much better things with $300.
I don't blame you a bit man I would do the same it sucks because he was all hyped up and excited to be let down that quick you'll find something much cooler I do believe that
+X-FLIGHT101 it is going back to the store. Had it out this morning and it can't fly. The altitude adjustment wouldn't allow me to bring it down easily and it is impossible to control as it won't go where you want it to.
Hey bro that is one large spacecraft you got there. It's freakin awesome, sorry to hear of the issues you had with it, I would return it for a refund. Thanks for sharing👍
wow what a shame! I do t blame you for that price it should fly At least as good or better than the smaller one. I use the smaller one to curb my rc itch when it's raining like it has been a lot here in V.A. as always your videos are awesome keep up the great work.
Great review but extra large falcon is over priced; I bought my son the smaller version & he loves it while playing indoor. Wait till the hype dies down & the xl falcon will be on clearance.
Wow. $300 for like $20 worth of electronics and a bunch of foam. You'd think for that price they could at least make sure the thing worked. I was hoping this would fly more like a real quad, or at least be worth playing with for a while and then using for a DIY build later; but if it doesn't even work out of the box at that price... The smaller one is going for $50 right now, and it's pretty clear the electronics didn't get an upgrade for the XL. So basically you're paying $250 for foam. Holy crap, Star Wars toys have gotten bad since they've started targeting adults.
you and me both. I had pretty high hopes for it due to the price, but they were dashed pretty quickly. It does have a large battery, bigger motors, bigger props and new control settings (that don't work right), but still nothing in the $300 range.
+TheFalconF7 tried again this morning and it has a mind of its own. Reduce throttle doesn't make it come down reliably. Won't go in direction in trying...its boxed up and going back.
there is a pressure sensor for altitude lock so the controls may different from racing drone. due to large surface area, XL quad cannot decelerate too fast otherwise it will lose balance. keep pulling the throttle stick down and it will land gently.
That was just one issue. It had several control issues. It is underpowered for being XL and the surface area. Too big to fly indoors and too much size and surface area to fly well outdoors with the system it has.
Don't get me wrong. I'm a huge fan of several of the air hogs star wars vehicles...the Speeder Bike being my favorite...I even like the X-wing plane...this one, however, I have a few issues with.
wow it isnt flying outside at all for u??? mine goes up high and i can bring back down, even the hyper speed button works.... my neighbors were freaking out when i had it fly over and above their house and i turned it around and had come back......
I was tempted to return to try for another, but they gave me such a hard time about bringing it back that I just decided not to. Not a good sign though if so many people are having issues with them throttling down.
it's not you as you might know already.. I just got mine and I'm having the same problem. can't really control it...it just lifts and hovers... looks great but does not fly like it does In the commercial..lol
In 6 months time this with be sold for 75 dollars. ...what a peace of junk ! .....the garbage won't do ... nice box lol it flys like a daddy long legs !
$300 ? No brushless, no camera, no gps, no return to home, no flying outside, no speed, etc.... I'd rather add an extra $100 and get the phantom 3 standard. I here they are getting cheap now. They were $800, but now they cost like $300 so.... This Foam or a Phantom.
+U.SS NCC-1701 I hear you. In my review of it, I mention a lot of that. I have a Phantom 3 professional at work and love it. Here's my final review before taking it back. m.ua-cam.com/video/7gIjnLpJsIE/v-deo.html
Wow - they made some overpriced drek with this one. It looks like a 100 dollar quad and flies like a 20 dollar one. Solid review man, too bad it didn't work out. Should not have be released like this if they are all this terrible :(
I had one and it was junk just like this. Mine flew sloppy for maybe 5 minutes until the front left motor seized up. Absolute garbage right out of the box!
The smaller version is a really solid toy! So I'm not quite sure what happened here......buuuut......damn. There literally has to be NO wind when you fly it.
it's the worse flying quad I have ever owned or flown. I got it for less than $100 shipped so I will keep it, the flight controller must be the problem, there is no controlling it.
That thing looks awesome though. Bit overpriced. You sure you didn't get a lemon? Most of that shit is massproduced in China and there can be faulty examples.
Really great unboxing !! Great purchase !!
Holy crap, IT'S HUGE!
Oh man, that was seriously disappointing, especially the price. :(
+Flyin' Ryan RC yeah. It's a bummer. I really wanted it to be awesome!
CCxRC Yeah, indeed. Definitely gonna have to pass on this one, unless Air Hogs wants to sponsor me one, even knowing that I'll give it a bad review. heh I think they're gonna take some heat, and possibly a great loss in revenue, for this one. :(
+Flyin' Ryan RC yeah. I did an outdoor flight and review with it. You can see how unresponsive the controls are. I took it back.
CCxRC I just sent you a message, btw. I also found your page on FB, so I shared that on my FB page too. Hopefully get you a few more subs. :)
Thank you for a great video. I do not have $300 to spend but at least now I will not waste my time Thinking about buying one
Haha. You are welcome. I'm hoping they do something with it to get it right. I like the idea of a huge Millennium Falcon drone
Wow. That's a bummer. I'm so glad I didn't buy one last night. After your video, I ran to my Toys R Us and they had 3.Had it in hand, but I kept thinking, this box is so light for $300 so I left. I think I made a good choice.
Good decision. Sounds like a lot of them are being returned
u got a bad one, trust me it works and it i love it, made a cool video at night this thing looks amazing
I got one of many bad ones. Saw other videos like mine and the comments on Amazon with the exact same problems. Glad yours works though!
Very easy to fly when ya remove those prop guards. I didn't pay $300 and wouldn't, was about to return it until I found the Millenium Falcon XL training video that instructed me to remove the prop guards before flight.
I did it with the props off and it was still bad.
The Mighty Gamer T_dawg eh, the prop guards are for decoration and not to be while flying it, so I wouldn't worry about those. I think someone would pay 50 for it.
anticipation no more!!! looks awesome ! hopefully a better 2nd flight. looks like it flys like the smaller one which I have also.
+Joe Xavier the small one flies better. Mines going back.
Good review, have seen it for sale at 100$, so I’ll stick with the baby falcon at 50$, thanks for the warning.
You have to set it to pro function. I love mine
I tried both modes and didn't have any luck.
I wonder if you could 3D print holders for a brushless motors to go on those arms instead of the geared brushed motors
+Jimmy Louis good question. But starting at $300 and then adding to the cost seems crazy. You'd also want a new esc and board to handle better batteries. So in the end it would be $300 for a foam body 😀
True... but what a foam body!... lol
nice man
hey what's up wild man thanks for the very cool unboxing and I was a little bummed when that thing didn't fly as good as what you think it would like you said maybe you got one that ain't that good or maybe you gotta burn a few batteries before it takes off good maybe exchange it for another one if not or even get your money back unless it's a shelf Queen it does look badass man best of luck brother I hope it ends up burning rubber LOL

I don't blame you a bit man I would do the same it sucks because he was all hyped up and excited to be let down that quick you'll find something much cooler I do believe that
What type of charger does it need I got one and need one and where to get it so I can fly it
What kind of charger does it use? I bought it from yard sale but no charger in it. I've been search for it. Anyone know?
Should fly like a hobby grade quad for that price, it's not hard air hogs come on! Very good video however :)
+X-FLIGHT101 it is going back to the store. Had it out this morning and it can't fly. The altitude adjustment wouldn't allow me to bring it down easily and it is impossible to control as it won't go where you want it to.
CCxRC hopefully the next one you get is better!
Do they sell chargers separately
Why wouldn't they let you buy it at Target?
They weren't supposed to release it that day for some reason.
Hey bro that is one large spacecraft you got there. It's freakin awesome, sorry to hear of the issues you had with it, I would return it for a refund. Thanks for sharing👍
+Noeys fastrc that's the plan. I took it out in the daylight today and just can't get it to fly properly. Underpowered.
Do you know how to pair controller mine won’t pair
wow what a shame! I do t blame you for that price it should fly At least as good or better than the smaller one. I use the smaller one to curb my rc itch when it's raining like it has been a lot here in V.A. as always your videos are awesome keep up the great work.
I do the same thing with my small one. I really dig that one. This one is a great idea that was poorly executed. Shouldn't have gone to market IMO.
Any advice? On how to fix it or return it?
William Ruiz I returned mine. They never should have released this. It wasn’t ready.
Great review but extra large falcon is over priced; I bought my son the smaller version & he loves it while playing indoor. Wait till the hype dies down & the xl falcon will be on clearance.
oh yeah mr krabz
Buy it from Bestbuy for $110! I just purchased two or go to toys r us and theyll price match it, if your best buy is out of stock!
Wow. $300 for like $20 worth of electronics and a bunch of foam. You'd think for that price they could at least make sure the thing worked. I was hoping this would fly more like a real quad, or at least be worth playing with for a while and then using for a DIY build later; but if it doesn't even work out of the box at that price...

This happened with mine too. I'm taking it back today. It just doesn't fly for me.
+TheFalconF7 tried again this morning and it has a mind of its own. Reduce throttle doesn't make it come down reliably. Won't go in direction in trying...its boxed up and going back.
try to remove the detachable propeller protection and conduct flight test again. should help to improve the air flow.
Good advice. I tried both ways and it doesn't change anything. The controls just don't work like they should, especially the altitude controls.
there is a pressure sensor for altitude lock so the controls may different from racing drone. due to large surface area, XL quad cannot decelerate too fast otherwise it will lose balance. keep pulling the throttle stick down and it will land gently.

don't worry man, speeder bike is my favorite too, wonderful performance even at outdoor.
not meant to be flown with prop covers on, purely decorative. hope it helps.
hu.. thats big.
I am sorry that it is not working as you thought, hope you'll get the money back!
it is huge! If it flew even a little bit...I'd be super happy with it
wow it isnt flying outside at all for u??? mine goes up high and i can bring back down, even the hyper speed button works.... my neighbors were freaking out when i had it fly over and above their house and i turned it around and had come back......
but i hear all those saying theirs may not go down etc cause the 1st one i got was this way i said ill try one more time..... glad i did.....
now the battery life sux... but for 5 mins of it hovering in the night time skies, with the blue back, and white front lights, is so coool
+vdoscanr yeah. I flew it one more time the next day and took it back. ua-cam.com/video/7gIjnLpJsIE/v-deo.html
In 6 months time this with be sold for 75 dollars. ...what a peace of junk ! .....the garbage won't do ... nice box lol it flys like a daddy long legs !
where can I find the mini one for $50?
+Justin looks like that sale ended
Thanks, looks like Amazon and ebay seem to be the best places to look for a deal at the moment.
if its made of foam it cant be expensive
$300 ? No brushless, no camera, no gps, no return to home, no flying outside, no speed, etc.... I'd rather add an extra $100 and get the phantom 3 standard. I here they are getting cheap now. They were $800, but now they cost like $300 so.... This Foam or a Phantom.

CCxRC Ahh lol glad you got your money back.
Geared brushed motors for something that big? No wonder it barely flies. Send it to me when you get bored, and I'll mod it to fly proper.
Go home Chewie, you're drunk
Is it worth?
No. Not this one. I have their other drones and like them. I took this one back.
CCxRC thanks also I'm a new subscriber
Wow - they made some overpriced drek with this one. It looks like a 100 dollar quad and flies like a 20 dollar one. Solid review man, too bad it didn't work out. Should not have be released like this if they are all this terrible :(
I had one and it was junk just like this. Mine flew sloppy for maybe 5 minutes until the front left motor seized up. Absolute garbage right out of the box!
Foam Safe CA... :)
+Jimmy Louis yes. Missed some key words there. Hard to do these things on-the-fly and not mess up something.
NP... I'm all about keeping people informed... great job on the unboxing and review vids
I have super gold foam safe CA glue for my RC planes that I would use. Or low heat hot glue.
Love the box...great advertising of product..but the actual product detailing sucks!!! save your money..it will be a flop!
so beautiful to look at but unflyable. thanks for saving me $300.. :-(
That is way over priced, I would say around $75. Is a better price, that wont get my cash.
Just got mine the day of writing this comment for 45$
Bought it for 99$.
+Jason Rampy that's a pretty good price. Hope you have fun with it.
I did not have fun with it. Lol!
haha. It is very frustrating to use.
The smaller version is a really solid toy! So I'm not quite sure what happened here......buuuut......damn. There literally has to be NO wind when you fly it.
totally ripped off i guess?!
+hobby i don't feel it is worth the cost for the lack of performance it gives.
it's the worse flying quad I have ever owned or flown. I got it for less than $100 shipped so I will keep it, the flight controller must be the problem, there is no controlling it.
That thing looks awesome though. Bit overpriced. You sure you didn't get a lemon? Most of that shit is massproduced in China and there can be faulty examples.
+Sony Kroket yeah. There are a lot that I've seen that fly this bad.
Too bad, Air Hogs usually makes decent stuff.
300 bucks turd!
fail, what a shame.
Total bummer. I wanted to love it
