What made this work so well was absolutely Wrens piloting. I'd love to see him revisit this with half length darts and a better motor set in the flywheel cage.

Robert Mcfry he had a lot of trouble writing the script, he then had a ton of anxiety about the talk. Then a few days before, he crashed hard on his onewheel.
It would be cool if you revisited this project, but uses after market motors designed to be used to modify nerf guns, and take 3s lipo voltage.

I don’t know if you guys will ever see this but a year ago when I saw this video I decided to start learning CAD and a year later I have done so many projects some large and some small but I have also got into an internship doing CAD! I just wanted to come back and say thank you for that final push to start something new it has changed my life for the better!

I know you probably aren't gonna read this, but I'm on the First Robotics Team (FRC) 694, in NYC.
The season got canceled and as I'm a second-semester senior, I have WAY too much time on my hands.
I'm pretty well versed in using the laser-cutter and have friends who're skilled with the CNC machines who'd love to help you out!
Also have some 3D-Printers (Ultimakers, Form Labs, StrataSys, and I think one other type) as well as a lot of machines in the woodworking lab (and a lathe!)
P.S. I'm making Settlers of Catan for a year-long project in my Robotics Engineering class. The entire game. All ~278 pieces, from scratch. And I'm mostly done!
I figure Niko will like hearing that since my professor loves the game and suggested the concept, but Niko was the inspiration for it with his video about 2 years ago now.
P.P.S. Good job on the storytelling and editing of these videos! It's actually phenomenal, congrats!

If you did this with rival rounds, you could probably make it even stabler due to the lighter weight, while increasing the performance.
Also I would make it a slightly bigger platform, in order to have better durability

It's absolutely mind-boggling to me that that drone can fly with that much additional weight. LOL I mean I've definitely seen larger drones meant for things like transporting camera rigs and stuff, but even with as thin as those prints were it's impressive to me that it managed to lift up that much plastic. 😯

Ghost Platoon, the novel, describes JDAM like smart mortars with HE warheads coupled with small POV drones strapped to the soldier's backs which act like surveillance and targeting system. Published in 2019 and an exceptional read. Worth my 8 bucks or whatever. Could you build a similar system????????

4 words: Motion detection nerf turret
Actually built one using a raspberry Pi, a few servos, and a Nerf Prometheus, openCV for the vis software, and it mostly worked. Others have put plans out there for them.
Some use stepper motors, I used higher torque and high-speed servos with ball bearings on the very top point and a lazy Susan on the horizontal access point. It glides very well. Face reg is hard, but it does work.
