She didn’t earn much doing it either so I give my kudos to the lunch ladies doing honest work for the kids.
what i love is that you can tell this is just a bunch of friends goofing off together to make something they find funny funny for others. that cohesiveness is something that SNL has seriously lacked for the last 20 or so years.
Thats because they forgot about the comedy and decided to take the political route, bashing on every political person they dont like every chance they get
The last time I felt that family atmosphere was Andy Samberg and that generation but now it seems like a bunch of different pieces that don’t necessarily click
Because everyone who’s hired for the show now is a token shoe in so there’s no actual chemistry. Some don’t want to hear it because they are delusional but it is too painfully liberal, sorry but liberalism and comedy just don’t mix, comedy is about being offensive and pushing lines

Don't get me wrong, or anything like that. I do admit that Chris Farley was hilarious as a dancer and comedian, but he wouldn't have been acting like that if he wasn't on drugs. Same with John Belushi.
Juan Meza, Dude, nobody knows that. Do you really think that it's a coincidence that John Belushi died from a drug overdose? Farley even said that Belushi was his idol. He could've easily been on drugs since day one. Don't believe everything the internet tells you. If you look back on Farley's first skit (the patrick swayze dance off), there's lots of people who think he was possibly on drugs at the time.
My gma was a lunch lady for many years and she loved this song. She thought it was so funny (her doctor actually introduced it to her). He didn't succeed. You hear several times him laughing mid tune.
but it's not the first time he made his co-stars laugh.
3:55
lmaoo he really did xD gotta love the Sandman! a cool film: ua-cam.com/video/PD5_l6UVrwM/v-deo.html
@Christian Peters Still the best time Farley made Sandler laugh is when he put his hand on Hanks lap! OH HANK!
My mom was the lunch lady during my freshman year of high school. Everyone loved her because she always gave the students seconds and extra fries because she knew the food was going to go to waste so she gave them to the students instead which was against policy.
❤️
Thats because they forgot about the comedy and decided to take the political route, bashing on every political person they dont like every chance they get
Yep! It's called -a family!
Chris makes me smile every time I see him. He left way to soon! He’s the fucking man!
The most underrated part of this sketch is Norm McDonald bouncing around as a greenbean.
I know Ellen Cleghorne was the pudding and Kevin Nealon was Sloppy Joe,. but who was everyone else?
@@colleen4ever Adam, Chris, Kevin, Ellen you know, Chop Suey was Sarah Silverman, Norm Macdonald was the Green Bean, David Mandel was the Pizza Slice, Fred Wolf was the Garlic Bread, and Steve Koren was Liver and Onions.
Mandel, Wolf, and Koren were SNL writers. I'm guessing most of the cast didn't want to wear the costumes and they needed bodies to fill in lol.
@@brad2751 I always thought that Dave Atell as the liver and onions?
@@hammurds I use to think the pizza slice was George Wendt, but nope lol
@@brad2751 I did too
I use to watch the best of Chris Farley on DVD as a kid and I'm 26 now. This is still my favorite 😭 RIP Chris
I want to watch that to cheer myself up. I feel happy watching Chris and Adam.
I watched it on VHS like a real 90s kid 😂
adam sandler and chris farley...
see, this is why it was amazing to grow up when we did.
So true! I take such joy when i think about my childhood, my teenage years. It makes me sad, because i dont think my kids will experience anything like it. Times are so different. Kids don't hang out like they used to. My son is 12 and i make him watch all this stuff. 80s movies. Mtv videos. He loves Sandler movies. Next on the list is Tommy Boy for sure.
Seriously!! Born in 87, I feel like I was born at the best time.
I love how much joy Farley brings to Adam. Yes, I used the present tense. Because that kinda love never dies.
mutual. x
Binge watching Chris Farley! Who's still enjoying this in 2019!!
Farley is timeless as is candy
Here
Me
Gogetdatmoney meeeeeeeeeeee
I still watch Chris at least once a week. Hilarious!
2:22, they're so in love 😍 #originalbromance
RIP Chris, we miss you!!
You can see their genuine love & friendship for each other. Miss u so much Chris Farley you were so fricking special xx
Farley stole every skit he was in.
He did not steal it if it was give to him from the snl writers . Lol
Steven White Don’t think you understand what he meant...
@@randomcrap6045 for got to put lol at the end I no what you meant he stole the whole show by the way
Hay don't no if it's just UA-cam cutting it but go watch the one were there breaking out of prison with Martin and for one second farley shirt is dry then with in seconds it's wet just thought it was wierd
@@stevenwhite1157 I’ve never seen someone spell “know” wrong twice in 2 comments let alone in general
I love how the younger generation is finding out about our legends! Especially thanks to Adam Sandler's tribute to CF. Im 1985 so this was my WHOLE childhood!
Damn I miss Farley.
He was so often compared to Belushi and Candy for his big man comedy prowess. And they were truly great. Farley however was an absolute once in a lifetime personality and performer
He was my generations Belushi and he was amazing. Dana Carvey and David Spade did a 2-part tribute to Chris Farley on their podcast Fly on the Wall. They interviewed his friends, family and co-workers and it was funny but also somber and sad. I highly recommend listening to it.
Awww I loved John Candy
For a big guy Chris Farley was a pretty good dancer.
Don't get me wrong, or anything like that. I do admit that Chris Farley was hilarious as a dancer and comedian, but he wouldn't have been acting like that if he wasn't on drugs. Same with John Belushi.
Seth Winters wrong might wanna check the facts of when he was on drugs it wasnt really till later in his career
He was an athlete and a gymnast in college.
Natalie's Channel if you think THAT'S good you should see his Chip n Dales skit with Swayze lol
man i miss chris farley:(
kanilsykur I miss him so much!
I think everyone does
kanilsykur as do I :(
kanilsykur.
And Phil Hartman too
My gma was a lunch lady for many years and she loved this song. She thought it was so funny (her doctor actually introduced it to her). She loved it so much that she requested it he played at her funeral. An we did it graveside. And I know it’s stupid, but as funny as it is, it makes me sob every time.
Oh my gosh don't even say that was stupid , that actually sounds to me your family knew how to have fun!!!! RIP Grandma!!!
That is awesome. I’m sorry for your loss, I bet she was a lot of fun.
Oh how sweet. What an awesome Grandma ❤
@@YouHadMeAtMoonPie Thanks! She was SO much fun! Always a trouble maker! She wanted it played at her actual funeral, but the church leaders weren’t so much on board doing it in the chapel, so we agreed on graveside. She was so loved in her community, so many people showed up sad, but that song (and knowing she specifically requested it) made everyone laugh. And we made sure it was the last thing that happened before they lowered the casket so that it was the last thing we all got to share with her.
@@danasmith2247 She was a good one! We all always think our own grandma’s are the best, but I know that she was haha she fought cancer for 20 years, and then wanted to have things end in humor. To say our final goodbyes among laughter instead of tears. Something I will never forget!
This makes me laugh and cry at the same time. 😂💔😢 Chris Farley. .... Gone but never forgotten in our home. Thanks for the laughs friend in my head.
My god that is STILL funny after all these years. RIP Mr Farley!! 🙏🏻
IKR! Still awesome
It's 2023 and I am still laughing at Chris and Adam in this sketch!
Yes! I grew up with a best of snl Chris Farley vhs and I still look up my favorites frequently ❤❤
Chris Farleys dedication should be studied in schools.
Oh Chris Farely making me laugh hysterically ever since I can remember. You were my first memory as a kid.
Same same same.
Anytime I’m feeling down this skit will ALWAYS put a huge smile on my face!!! One of the greatest skits to ever come out of SNL 😂
Who’s here after last night’s Chris Farley tribute by Adam Sandler?
tori2dles me
Guilty
Me, I've been binge watching Chris Farley clips after seeing that
🙌
Yep
Chris Farley was so goddamn agile for such a large man. An absolute treasure.
totally go watch Beverly hills ninja right at the end where he says I may not be the best ninja I may not be one with the universe but no one messes with my brother and then he whips everybody's ass
He played rugby and took dance during his high school years. Despite his size dude was athletic and agile
I love that he makes him laugh. And thinking of the song he came back and sang about farley. 30 years later he still loves and remembers his friend. He gave him a chance to say fu to lorne from the grave
Just seeing them have so much fun together is amazing itself.
Norm MacDonald is the green bean and smiling...hilarious
The best!
Love how Norm Macdonald, towards the end, ALSO looks like he's cracking up at the ending slow dance, then starts applauding before catching himself all "Oh wait, I'm a character in this sketch..." and bopping to the outro.
RIP Chris Farley.... Sloppy JOE!!! Sloppy Sloppy JOE!!!
This skit should’ve won an Emmy
Marcella X Yes but this was too funny for the uptight Emmy morons
Shawn Moore true
Chris Farley a legend. So comfortable in these iconic roles like the Chippendale sketch. So great.
Without him there would be no lunch lady in Lunch Lady Land
Nope! This song is never the same now!
I just posted that lol
You know I’m thinking about thinking about my friend Chris Farley
☹️
@@georgefimbres7162 happy you understood it
None of the current SNL cast members can hold a candle to Sandler & Farley
Farley is one-of-a-kind, but Sandler is and always was boring and one-dimensional. He was the original Jimmy Fallon.
Come on, Fallon is a poser. He is nowhere near Sandler's league
SNL sucks now!
Swan Ronsen explain more
chrispythegull Sandler isn't completely one dimensional, check out Reign Over Me. It's not a comedy and shows he's actually very talented. His comedy style has been played our though.
Everyone should have a friendship like is demonstrated at 1:58 and 2:18. I can’t even begin to imagine how losing Chris Farley felt to that era of cast of SNL.
I watched this live and thought I would never quit laughing. Chris was my favorite member.
When I saw this as a kid, I thought it was funny. Seeing it now, it's a work of art. Farley & the other dancers really worked on that choreography, this isn't nonsense, it's basically a play 👏🏾
This was a ballet. Chris's movements were precise and also soulful . Kind of like ballet and R +B
This song is honestly such a banger!!! Love the skit and Adam's singing - was great!! Miss u Chris
RIP CHRIS FARLEY. LEGEND GONE TOO SOON
I think he played the Lunch Lady on Adam's HBO concert when he sang that song, too, correct?
Phil Hartman too!
Both gone too soon, & still missed over 20 years later.
20 years ago today Farley left us sooo sad
Rest In Peace farley, wish you loved yourself as much as everyone else loved you
R.I.P Chris Farley 💙💛❤💚💜
Chris was such a special talent. Sympathetic and hilarious.
RIP Chris and Norm and my childhood
I always think of this song whenever I eat a sloppy joe. 😁
Me too. Me too.
me three
Me 4
i as well
People still eat sloppy joes??
when I'm feeling depressed it's so great that I can just go to UA-cam and look up anything that can just make me laugh and feel better. Chris Farley was one of a kind it's just a sad thing that they get hooked on drugs. This is probably my favorite song since he danced with Patrick swayze doesn't get anything better than that rest in peace Chris!!
I remember the morning my alarm went off for work and the radio said Chris Farley died. So sad.. He was the best! I'm a lunch lady and I love this song and when people stop in and ask how we are I say everything is fine down here in lunch lady land! You're missed so much chris!!
I was laughing and getting a little teary eyed also, where did these good times go with real awesome SNL skits and actors.
Chris farley always had impressive Moves💕
I was 13 when this first aired. I laughed so hard I woke up my parents. I'm 40 now. And it's still just as delightfully silly. Amazing!
Chris Farley was always so funny! Amazing comic!
"Sloppy Joe" is the funniest name ever. This skit is Gold.
So disappointed at what snl has turned into

@@benjizucker6091 you know it 😜
Looks like he had a few extra peas in his pod, if you know what I mean.
I like to think he was stoned out of his mind.
I will not die until Pearl Jam does a full-production cover of this song
I could totally see that... sublime would've killed it too. Inot my scene but Jack Johnson or keller Williams would too
Omg that would be amazing. Could totally go for Eddie singing this 😍
Lunch Lady Land-lyrics
Woke up in the morning
Put on my new plastic glove
Served some reheated salisbury steak
With a little slice of love
Got no clue what the chicken pot pie is made of
Just know everything's doing fine
Down here in Lunchlady Land
Well I wear this net on my head
'Cause my red hair is fallin' out
I wear these brown orthopedic shoes
'Cause I got a bad case of the gout
I know you want seconds on the corndogs
But there's no reason to shout
Everybody gets enough food
Down here in Lunchlady Land
Well yesterday's meatloaf is today's sloppy joes
And my breath reeks of tuna
And there's lots of black hairs coming out of my noooose
Hoagies & grinders, hoagies & grinders
Hoagies & grinders, hoagies & grinders
Navy beans, navy beans, navy beans
Hoagies & grinders, hoagies & grinders
Navy beans, navy beans
Meatloaf sandwich
sloppy joe, slop, sloppy joe
sloppy joe, slop, sloppy joe
sloppy joe, slop, sloppy joe
sloppy joe, slop, sloppy joe
Well I dreamt one morning
That I woke up to see
All the pepperoni pizza
Was a-looking at me
It screamed, why do you burn me
And serve me up cold
I said I got the spatula
Just do what you're told
Then the liver & onions
Started joining the fight
And the chocolate pudding
Pushed me with all its might
And the chop suey slapped me
And it kicked me in the head
It's called revenge Lunchlady
Said the garlic bread
I said what did I do
To make you all so mad
They said you got flabby arms
And your breath is bad
Then the green beans said
You better run and hide
But then my friend sloppy joe came
And joined my side
He said if it wasn't for the Lunchlady
The kids wouldn't eatcha
You should be shakin' her hand
And sayin' please to meet ya
She gives you a purpose
And she gives you a goal
You should be kissin' her feet
And kissin' her mole
Now all the angry foods
Just leave me alone
And we all live together
In a happy home
Thanks to
sloppy joe, slop, sloppy joe
sloppy joe, slop, sloppy joe
sloppy joe, slop, sloppy joe
sloppy joe, slop, sloppy joe
Thank me later!😊🌼
You forgot to put the very end! "Well, me and Sloppy Joe got married... we've got 6 kids and we're doin' just fine, down in Lunch Lady Land!!!"
Thank you very much! facebook.com/kingtkuehn
Never thought I’d be showing my kids this, but they LOVE IT. 😍
This performance is why I tolerate Adam Sandler in 2017.
Ha ha.
I've given up for a while now, but, always open.
The horribleness of modern Sandler greatly outshines himself in this one good sketch
Rob, I'm guessing you know him primarily through his newer stuff (which enough people watch to keep it up, somehow), but with most comedians his earlier stuff is better and what made him. A victim of his time and enough people made sure he didn't need to change.
You tolerate that he is pretty much like a regular guy now because he was gay as fuck, talking like a child as an adult in this performance?
Born 1979 i had a VHS tape of billy Madison and happy Gilmore and i watched it every day ,eventually upgraded to DVD and brought the best of the sandman SNL and still to this day this song brings tears to my eyes RIP Chris Farley xx
Farley & Sandler were the Abbott & Costello of SNL.Everything clicked between them.Magical moments & classic memories.
Such a blessing to have such a character as a good friend, we miss Chris as his fans but I can’t imagine what it’s like for Adam and David spade. Bless y’all much love.
Life's goes on, but you still bring us so much joy Chris Farley.
30 years later.........time goes by so fast..........and boy do i miss the 90s
Chris Farley was my all-time favorite SNL actor. I loved him. Pure talent, good heart, great friend. He was just as strong as he was big. Love & miss you, Chris 😢
So cute :)) and rock and roll at the same time. *lighters up* sloppy Jo sloppy sloppy Jo aah....

Chris is even making Adam laugh while singing. We love you and miss you Chris!!
There will never be another Chris Farley. RIP😭
I agree but let's not forget John Belushi and John Candy.
stevepd1 agreed.
I came over here after watching it re-enacted for the Adam Sandler Mark Twain Award ceremony. I'm laughing my ass off with tears streaming down my face. The memories this brings back are priceless!
This has been my favorite skit for 20 years lol. Chris is PERFECT and Adam is ADORABLE.
Rest In Peace Chris.
his mark twain award brought me here. EPIC SONG lolol.
