True, TocYounger. I try to remember that he was fleeing the horrors of Lewy body dementia when he killed himself. Beyond the insomnia, muscle rigidity, or inability to think and plan, the paranoia and hallucinations would send you off a bridge to escape it. Rest well, our beloved Robin.
I was in the audience in 2011 for this norm McDonald clip, and before the show started I asked Jon Stewart if he or norm McDonald had an opinion about the Canadian government proroguing parliament. Jon Stewart laughed “oh who doesn’t?!” But then when Norm McDonald came out he asked him about our government being prorogued referring to my question before the show started and I was so happy! Throughout the clip with norm McDonald you can hear me cackling in the background. This is such a fun memory to revisit. This episode was also where John Oliver did his “oilfrica” skit
Legends never die. That said, the sooner we let the inevitability of death MOTIVATE our dreams instead of paralyzing our drive, the more legends will be made 🫡
Hearing Robin Williams talk about cycling reminds me about the story Conan told about Robin buying Conan a bike with intentionally garish Irish decorations. When Conan rang Robin to thank him, Robin asked Conan if he looked ridiculous riding it. Shows both how giving and funny he was.
My favorite actor was and is Robin Williams. The day the News announced he died, I cried, and I had never met him, but his genius in every movie was beyond.
He was and probably ever will be the only celebrity death that actually hit me. The only other one would probably be Tom Hanks when he finally leaves us.
I remember seeing this interview the first time about 11-12 years ago. Robin Williams always gave the best interviews in all history. I've seen many and never a bad one. I still miss him!
Thank you so much, Daily Show, for the memories of the great Robin Williams. The first time I recall being truly mocked at school was in the 5th grade-because I was wearing a Mork from Ork outfit. My first comedy album as a teenager was “Reality, What a Concept,” and I just ran across “The Fisher King” on TV last week. The man exuded a joy for living that we could all hope to have, and because of that, I always understood why he chose to move on like he did. ❤️
I had the opportunity to work on set on “Curb Your Enthusiasm” the last season with Richard Lewis before he died. Absolute legend, him and Larry David were truly best friends, I laughed so hard under my breath at their banter between takes
What a genius Robin Williams was. I watch his movies and I wonder about the gems we have missed, as we miss him. He was so wholesome and everything came deeply from him
Robin Williams was a childhood friend to me in my mind. His comedy kept me smiling when I was sad, his eccentricities were always wonderful and his quick wit made him a legend. There’s only two people I’d love to meet just to say thanks and give a hug to and that Michael Jackson and Robin Williams.❤❤❤❤
All you can do is smile, and cry. Missing those you love the most is something this video made me realize will never, ever stop being a thing. After seeing this, it made me miss my mom so much.
Thank you for reuploading the Norm segment!!! There used to be an old clip on YT but we lost it. The increasingly chaotic set-up and then the joy he channels into blurting out BAHRAIN, it's so so funny to me. Every bit of that segment killed though. And it's amazing, and endearing, to see Jon defenseless like the rest of us against Norm's comedy.
I miss Robin Williams.. I wish I had a chance to tell him in person he's one the main reasons I keep going with my miserable childhood. He's my hero, and after knowing he had to deal with Lewy Body Dementia, which my mom had, and I took care of her for 10 years, he's even more of a hero than I knew.. he endured his painful side and kept making others laugh until he couldn't handle anymore. I miss my hero.
Seeing and listening to Robin Williams in this interview. it's hard to imagine that he was struggling with depression from his illness. he seems like he happy and not having any problems at all. but he kept it hidden very well. it's such a shame and so sad, he is definitely missed.
His outspoken nature on The Genius Writers, and their personalities as apart of Robins Bits. This is sincerely telling to how much passion he really felt whenever a series/movie was made, humbling, genuine, sweet, and never wanting to end. Still missing Robin Williams 2025.
I saw a video that said part of Robin Williams rider when he stars in a movie is that they hire some homeless people and give them an opportunity to work. We miss you Robin Williams ❤
Robin Williams gave me my first iPod! One Halloween, he was giving them out to the first 100 trick or treaters. He answered the door dressed like French maid 😂
Norm completely rocks… there will never be another chunk o’coal like this man. Maybe you can find someone under the Queensboro Bridge… but you can’t beat that price! 😂
Man that Robin Williams bit. At the end, how he was absolutely overjoyed by the opportunity given by the audience. Very nearly had something stick into my eye.
Bless the comedians around the world, you have no idea the difference you made/make. Mad respect and gratitude. 🤗😍 I LOVE how comedians make each other laugh, purest joy! ❤
Seeing old Robin Williams clips makes me both sad and happy at the same time. Being alive in his timeline is such a blessing.
Me too, it's a little hard.
The world is less without him in it. What an extraordinary, complicated and hilarious man.
yes. Gilbert Gottfried was another big loss to comedy. then he died.
It really is. Small blessings rn are sustaining me. There won't be another like him.
Dito😂😢
Man, seeing Robin Williams is always bittersweet. RIP.
It is. Well we still have truth in Christopher Bollyn
💯
But in the end, predictable. Every movie role, every stand-up gig, every interview like this one.
Yes all three deceased

Anyone else get sad knowing all these legends are gone now?
Yes, but it's great that we live in a time where we can rewatch practically everything they ever did.
yes
Not only that but unfunny hacks like Seinfeld and Bill Maher will live forever, apparently.
Yeah, the world got so much darker without them
Legends never die.
That said, the sooner we let the inevitability of death MOTIVATE our dreams instead of paralyzing our drive, the more legends will be made 🫡
“Listen-I don’t want to badmouth Qaddafi” 😂
The more I hear about this Gaddafi fella the more I don't care for him.
Absolutely brilliant!
Watching Jon Stewart laugh at Norm’s jokes was the pick me up I didn’t know I needed. Saving to watch in future down days.
Yep I always love when people appreciate Norm
You can easily spend 4 hours watching Norm compilation clips. Most unique comedian of all time.
@@AG-ld6rv I’ve tried and he’s not to my taste. But I’d watch Norm on a loop if it meant I got to watch Jon watching Norm.
"... now listen, I don't wanna bad mouth Gaddafi..."
Yeah, it was when Conan got fired from the Tonight Show and Robin wanted to cheer him up, the man had the biggest heart.
I was wondering if anyone else had seen that. And it meant so much to Conan. 2 legends, 1 gone much too soon. 🕊️
NORM!!!! Rip my fellow Canadian brother. You are missed every day.
All 3 of these guys. Love them all.
Norm was the only one of these three
My favorite actor was and is Robin Williams. The day the News announced he died, I cried, and I had never met him, but his genius in every movie was beyond.
Yup. He's synonymous with the idiom alive and kicking. Someone like that being dead was just unthinkable.
He was and probably ever will be the only celebrity death that actually hit me. The only other one would probably be Tom Hanks when he finally leaves us.
Robin Williams was synonymous with bullying. Helping Lance Armstrong ruining so many lives after being caught cheating. Try tears.
In my mind he’s more of a comedian than just an actor, but I get that many only seen him in movies.
What tickles me? I’ve never seen Jon laugh so uproariously. It’s a testament to Robin, who I’ll miss forever.
You mean, Norm Macdonald, right?
“I don’t wanna bad-mouth Gaddafi…” 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I love seeing old Norm MacDonald content in HD, almost feels like he's still here with us
Norm was a treasure
Oh Norm, you were just the best. The absolute best with that mischievous grin. 😢❤
Best at what?
Being Norm
The best at being an old chunk of coal.
I love how Norm was most interested in amusing himself. We were just along for the ride.

As a Norm fan, seeing him and Stewart mash it up is a strange experience!
Im a big fan of both! two of the natural funniest people the planets ever had
@Rowsy91 Yeah, but do they work together? This video is basically like having one of your work friends, meeting one of your friends friends.
Jesus christ, Norm was just naturally funny.
was that his actual voice or he puts it on for comedy?
Watching these two is pure gold, but seeing Robin Williams is so bittersweet. RIP.
It's such a shame that these three (3) are gone. Comedy isn't the same. RIP guys.

Can you tell us some examples
Norm MacDonald is one of the few people who can make me laugh out loud.
I miss and love all of these guys, but most of all Robin. Rest gentlemen and Thank You...

Should have also put in Norm talking with Jon about Steve Irwin lol. Classic clip.
He had a ripe old age for a crocodile hinter.
Robin Williams was a gem. We overuse that term sometimes, but that man was just a mensch. 🙏🏾
These guys were all greats. Sorely missed in today's darker times.
Ive never seen any of these interviews. It’s great to have their comedy back if only for a little bit.

Robin Williams was getting towards the end here and yet he still gave everything to making Jon and audience light up . Missing you still legend
If you've got experience with family members developing dementia you can even pick it up here. Nice to see him but it made me a bit sad.

Another spectacular interview with Robin Williams was one that Craig Ferguson did. If you loved Robin you’ll tear up no matter what.

Oh, Robin. 🥺😔💔 I shall forever remember where I was when I found out 😭 Beautiful interview 🥲
Robin Williams and Norm MacDonald Absolutely comedy LEGENDS. Norm especially, most underappreciated comic of his time.
And Richard Lewis?
Can’t believe they’re all gone! They sure are missed! 👼🏼👼🏼👼🏼😥❤️
All comedy greats- may they rest peacefully along with other comedy legends. ❤ It was a privilege to enjoy their insights.

8 sec into the video and I started crying already .... 😭
I showed Robin Williams to my children after he passed, they are in love with him
Thank you!! Today I'm grateful for the memories of these super funny guys. I especially loved the Norm MacDonald piece 😂😂😂

What a bunch of greats! You included Jon! Please run for President 2028!
Hearing Robin and Norm again, man what I'd do to hear there takes on everything now
Norm was very pro Trump. He didnt like the late night people obsessing over him
How about Richard Lewis?
