Played this all the time. Actually by the time I was playing it, Tyson had lost the title and they called it just Punch Out. They changed the title holder to Mr. Dream, who had most of the same moves as Tyson. My brothers, cousins and I were all experts at this damn game, though I had forgotten most of the little points to grab star punches, I could play this again today easily.
Jack Winsper Got his brains blown out while serving in the military. @@APOCALYPSE_X-MEN Sandman is predictable. Macho Man is not. Sandman has 13 jabs and only the fifth is unpredictable. He then does hooks similar to Bald Bull. Land a hit in the face and three in the gut. He then does the Midnight Express/Dreamland uppercuts. Dodge left. Hit him like 10 times. Rinse and repeat. Super Macho Man is completely random (no telling how many uppercuts and how many hooks he will do). His first Clothesline is difficult to dodge. The second one you likely will dodge one more than necessary

Jk this game is fun
This brought back so many memories! I loved watching the Tyson fight.
It's hilarious how the worst fighter "Glass Joe" is from France lololol
don't talk trash about France
It's not funny
oro yee! Shut your sensitive ass up.
Damn Frenchies, all they know how to do is make the best wine.
Glass Joe's record:1-99 and somebody lost to him
I don't care what anybody says these old games still stand up to this day there fun simple I have never played it but I don't like these Final Fantasy type games that take years to play. I prefer the old arcade type stuff. I have a lot of old Nintendo and super Nintendo games I'll never get rid of them. Besides I looked the titles up on ebay and Amazon the prices for these games are insane you go to a used game place same deal over priced my games are still in great condition still play them and I'm almost 50.
for real! not too complicated. doesn't take months to play through. my personal pet peeve with RPGs is shops. i always panic when i buy stuff because i think i'm buying the wrong stuff and i've already made myself lose but i won't figure it out for 3 days. haha
Nicely done!! Playing this on the nes classic. Maaan this was my childhood
thanks! i have since gotten way better at the game. i still like this play through because it was the first time i had finished the game without losing to any fighters. i remember being very excited when i beat tyson
@@BlastGnar I used to beat Mike Tyson or win by decision
DAMN!! Watching takes back to my childhood. Nothing but love for the old NES Games!!
I was 10 when this game came out. I was always able to get to Soda Popinski regularly and to Tyson a few times. He always beat my ass.
Dan M. Soda Popinski had a Wack laugh
Was so addicted to this game back in the day! Never could beat mike tho!
I've never theen thuch finger thpeed before
he does in prison
That Tyson bout had me on the edge of my seat! I was too young/too much if a n00b to get past glass joe when this was out....
Why does Soda Popinski laugh like Ganon from Zelda 2?
Voxell Aegisbane {Descendant of Ferron} You, sir, just blew my mind...
And I believe the 2nd boss on Kung Fu for NES has the same laugh.
Yep
He Defeated Mike Tyson Without dying!
Give us a sec to read the names of the boxers at least. FFS.
Glass Joe
Von Kaiser
Piston Honda
Don Flamenco
King Hippo
Great tiger
Bald bull
Soda popinski
Mr.Sandman
Super Macho Man
And, Mike Tyson.
I never get past over soda popinski!
Yeah, neither did my cousin (RIP). Soda was like the barometer to where you were as a fighter up to that point in the game.
+PeekaPeep
what happened to your cousin? 😞
Jack Winsper Got his brains blown out while serving in the military. Not sure of the details, but it turned out during a police investigation that it wasn't suicide as previously suspected (entry wound was in the back of his head, not the front) and may have been the result of him actually trying to foil a drug-dealing operation within his own barracks. My aunt and uncle ended up getting a quarter million-dollar settlement out of it, too. They probably would rather have their son back instead:::sigh:::
ad221282. I knocked Soda Popinski down twice, and I had low health. He then got up at 9, and hit me. I spammed the A & B buttons but I couldn't get up. *That Russian B*stard.*
ad221282 same here man. That fucker was savage. Haha 😂😂😂
brought back good memories. i used to play the shit out of this game
Anyone who grew up in the 80’s had this game or at least played it. I was addicted to it.
My favorite video game of all time.
I don't remember Tyson being that easy!!!!! Maybe I just sucked! 😂
REYSHAUNTOPPS1 that guy makes it look easy
I never got up when tyson knocked me down.
this was my favorite NES game!!
Um....I don't think you DIE in Punch Out. More like you "get knocked out".
+Rugged Savior this was part of a video series i was putting together where "no death playthrough" was in the title of all the videos. it was to keep continuity with the series
You do when you put the Tyson code in.
WOW!!!! I've never seen anyone beat Tyson in a decision before!! That is amazeballs
I've always had problems with Sandman... I beat everybody else easy , but him.
Yeah, he wasn't as predictable.
One of my favorite games in my childhood, if you could go back in time. Greetings from village Dulene , bella Serbia
I have just added you to the top 3 heroes in my life. In this order; 1)My mother 2)MLK Jr. 3)GnarBlast. lol Thank you.
haha. not sure how i feel about that but thanks!
Samuel O'Banner Mines is 1. God 2.Jesus Christ & my mom honorable mention MLK & Malcolm X
This game brings back so many memories! took a while but once I could beat Tyson it was easy. Love this game!
Why didn't mike bite little macs ear off? 😏
+HM5 because Little Mac wasn't headbutting him like Holyfield. lol
+GnarBlast
BAM
Gorp because it wasn't even invented for another 10 years
Played this classic this morning 🔥 awesome game
12:13 AND 18:43 , THE EASTER EGG IS LEGIT!
I remember Sandman having the most devastating special punch. If the first one connected then they all did.
Bald bull too with his uppercuts.
VODKA DRUNKENSKI IS GANNON! LISTEN TO HIS LAUGH!
Soda Popinski
The last fight with Tyson was great!! I'm looking for a NES as we speak! Thanks for taking me back down memory lane!!!! GREAT VIDEO!
SUPER MARIO IS THE REFEREE
He is. When you fight with Don Flamenco, he says that referee Mario has a nice hair
*ITS A ME MARIO*
Little Mac needs to be a guest on Hotboxin with Mike Tyson!
tell stories about the old days when weight classes didn't exist in boxing. haha
"No death"
HOLY SH*T HE DIES!?
guess so
I suppose it meant "no game overs"
toonmariorpg the rest of my videos are titled "no death" and i thought it would be weird to title this one differently because i'm going for a uniform sort of look with my videos.
GnarBlast And make them easier to find, right?
that was the initial plan :)
This brings back PTSD memories of 7 year old me trying to beat this game without having a clue of what to do. The frustration, the tears… The sounds & music are so vivid in my brain it feels like it was yesterday. I had no clue that was in my brain. Weird stuff!
i get that with music. if i hear something from when i was a kid, my mind transports to that time period. the human mind is a crazy thing
No death? Don't you mean no loss?
this is part of a series of videos i was doing where i would play an NES game without dying. it seemed weird to title this one differently
Of course it doesn't. I'm just saying: you don't die after losing a boxing match!
the guy that fought Bruce Willis in Pulp Fiction did
Why? Was it a really hard punch in the face?
+Sammy Knight its a movie
I loved this game as a kid, but I'm pretty old so this was cutting edge new stuff for back then, you are very good at this
This game really fights back against racial stereotypes.
uncle ruckus made it. seriously though. it seemed nintendo back in the day was scared to be controversial or racist. yet every character was a stereotype in this game.
Because everyone isn't completely sick of hearing about how everything is a racial stereotype.
Great memories, give me the chills. Great job kid, coming from a 32 year old gamer.
Nigga stole my bike!
Wow, this reminded me of the PunchOut video that GTV made a while back!
well i'm glad you found my video, too! thank you!
funny to hear adults having the problems I had when I was 8.
Can't beat hippo. now I can't beat bull. now sodapop then sandman. lol noobs.
I think this game invented wiff counters
This was the game Kevin Keene was playing in "Captain N The Game Master" before he and his dog, Duke, got warped to "Video Land" by "The Ultimate Warp Zone" in the first episode of said show. He was at the "King Hippo" fight as a matter of fact.
Glad to see the public get behind Mike when they tried to cheep out of keeping him for pt. 2.
I love that it was getting dramatic there at the end. It wasn't just a perfect sweep.
this was the first time i beat the game without losing a fight. i was getting so nervous near the end. lol
