This and the fact that they were legal back then easy to purchase. Nowadays, you can't get a 9mm - civilian model for under 6-7K and like I said above the full auto model is in the tens of thousands. 30-50K. It is sad to know I will never be able to own one of these because of all the BS the democrats have done over the years.
I picked one of these up about 4 months ago, and an omega 36m suppressor. The gun is incredibly accurate, easy to clean, and shooting subsonics is an absolute joy. Will be doing my own review soon! Great video!
When he misses he acknowledges the fact he wasn't using the sight right. Instead of blaming the gun. Its hard to blame a iron sight but he does.. super humble in front of the camera.

One of the best shooting, CQB weapons even today! On automatic, super easy to control and very little muzzle flip! Make sure you get the November or Navy version (the one he's shooting in the video), the other models have a side folder, and slightly heavier.
I've always found all of the full size rifles from HK to look a bit awkward and ungainly. Yet somehow when you shrink that form factor down into the MP5 it becomes beautiful

Inherited an HK94 from my cuz a few years ago (Christmas present from his bride in 1986.... they ran for about $450)~favorite pistol ammo carbine!!!!.... Decided not to SBR it (I figured the FBI would kick in my front door and confiscate it some day).... Just as fun in semi-auto with long barrel..... While at local FFL a couple months ago to pick up an inexpensive .22lr rifle to add to my .22 collection, there, on the wall next to me wuz an HK SP5K calling my name ..... Tried to ignore it to no avail..... Handled it for a few minutes, then walked out the door $3K poorer after NIC, BUT with a broad grin.... It's now my favorite "pistol-carbine" (?)..... Already had many mags and only had to add a few "upgrades".... When first on the market, I think they ran about $2,700, but goin' for about $3K now.....Well worth it...... Am retired, not married so let the fun begin.... Life became 'gooder' ;o)

Bump it up one Hickok. Get yourself and HK53a3. I had one...that thing will really make you grin! I had one with the 4 position trigger pack and qualified sear built off a German receiver modded up by Terry Dyer....should have never moved or sold my title 2's...biggest mistake I ever made giving up and moving.
This one isn't mine unfortunately. At the time this was filmed I didn't have any transferables. This was filmed in 2013 and I think I got my first one in 2019.

Years ago, a friend who was a Class 3 dealer let me shoot one. That's when the MP5a3 had a curved butt plate. I couldn't keep it on my shoulder. Also, we got a stove pipe from one of the cases. I had to get a pair of needle nose pliers to remove it. With the bolt open there is a 1" gap behind the magazine. That's where the case landed. It took a while to remove because the case was jambed in there. My love for the MP5 went away.
I love that gun - as a female (former LEO), I can handle it so well that I can put every bullet exactly where I want it - the gun is exceptionally 'smooth-feeling' in that it's predictable, while also being incredibly reliable. Can you tell I fell in love with it? And I'm not a collector or anything - but my gosh, if you appreciate nothing else about this firearm you have to appreciate its engineering! Yah gotta hand it to those Germans - with Octoberfest, Christkindlmarkt, Rammstein, and the MP5 they really have it all!
My favorite that him and son shoots on this channel would be a BAR. Used to play with one of those and a grenade launcher in 1966 when my dad was doing Marine corps recruiter duty. They also had old WWll bazooka. Firing pins were removed so they were safe right? It was not unusual to see that stuff in a recruiter's office back then.

I've got an idea for your next video: what's the best gun to defend yourself against FPV drones ? This question has become a hot topic since the war in Ukraine. It seems that troops are not equipped with appropriate weapons to shoot at drones or falling bombs. It would be interesting to test this by asking a friend to try to approach you with a drone while you try to shoot it down before it gets too close. It would be interesting to see which weapon is better and how difficult it is to destroy small drones.
fired this in subsonic. with supressor. the only thing u hear is the bolt cycling. without those features i actually preferred the uzi. full size uzi is so stable in full auto its like a lazer or a hose. heavier than the mp5 but thats what makes it so stable. both great guns of course. mp5 is harder to control.
I have two both with suppressors. Easily best guns I own. Shoots better than anything made today. For anyone interested in getting one, do it. You won’t regret it. Just know once you’re in, there’s no getting out. 😊
While extremely powerful, I prefer home defense solutions that don't make people want to break into my home to get them. Nobody wants to steal a cheap shotgun.
Here in Germany I use the civilian version (HK SP5) i.e. without burst and full automatic function. The whole thing is then “beautified” with the ugly 10-round magazines required in Germany. There can be a maximum of 3 rounds in the system at the same time. The gun laws here are all typically German and very very very regulated. Have fun guys. 😅
An AR-15 carbine with two 30 round mags taped together loaded with Barnes Bullets Varmint Grenades and a laser site. The reason for this is that a Varmint Grenade will not go through drywall and will incapacitate a person no matter what kind of drug they are on. Having 60 rounds will make it so you can stop multiple intruders. When someone points a gun and you and you see a red dot on your body the flight part of fight or flight quickly kicks in.
Dream gun. It's price, however, stalks me in my nightmares

I have the American made version by PTR, the 9CT. Semi auto but very reliable and accurate! Still DEPLETES magazines pretty quickly! 😊

First gun I bought was the GSG-16 because I'm in Canada and that's the closest I will ever get to an MP5.

Never liked the rear sight on G3 (same as mp5) prefer flip up type. If you have it for the home, get a decent optic. MP5 MLI.

A good fun gun, but hard to beat a shot gun, for home defence. You can mix it up, bird shot double 0 to rifle slug.

One question thats has "nagged" me about the MP 5 has been, can it shoot hollowpoints, ie: "Critical Duty, Critical Defense" etc?
