In Poland, we have a saying : "It doesn't need to be perfectly straight, It's not meant for shooting" (hope I translated it correctly). I bet that's what the guy making this rifle thought
In Finland we have the same saying, when it doesn't matter if something is in spec to the millimeter. "Ei sillä ammuta." "You don't shoot with it." it's good enough.
No no no Brandon. This is an amazingly built gun with variable magazine positioning, variable trunnion positioning and it’s actually UK legal as it isn’t capable of semi-auto fire
This brought back memories of my 1st AK build. Romy kit i got for $100. It was kind of my "sacrificial lamb" in learning the process. Everything Yugo is built like a tank! Thanks for the awesome content, Brandon!
It just proves how horrible an AK has to be for it to fail to function. It looks like someone ran over the received with a tank, and then straightened it with a screwdriver and a hammer while replacing the lost rivets and with whatever was laying around.... yet, it still could send rounds down range, albeit restricted.
I honestly don't understand all the hate for this gun. The safety features on it are so ahead of it's time! If there is too much pressure in the chamber, the gun will automatically disassemble itself to prevent harm to the user! Honestly a genius implementation to a firearm
I love that at multiple points, you can tell he is honestly angry about this gun. I agree, It is a travesty. Like when people try to make the original Ak-47 a "modern gun."
@@razgriz4118 Hell yeah, man! I played through all three factions, but I couldn't not be loyal to the side that uses AKs. I'm certainly familiar with the Razgriz squadron, as well.
I think Brandon has misunderstood the genius of this bubba fuckery. The bashed in bulge is to make it more aerodynamic. The lack of rivets is for weight savings. This gun was built for speed, and every feature serves that purpose. This isn't cursed, this is top tier craftsmanship for elite operations.
I’m just learning about guns. So I’m sure firing an AK is way outside my experience zone. I just have to say as I’m watching Brandon fight with the cycling is cracking me up. I’m just thinking if it was me in a real life or death situation, I’d be like “ hey guys could you slow down I’m trying to kill you and this gun isn’t getting the next round set up right, do you mind?” Yep I’m dead.
The first two seconds of seeing the gun were incredible. 1. "Well, that's not so-" 2. "DEAR GOD WHAT IS THAT" And it just got worse from there. It's like a blindfolded orc tried to make an AK in Khyber Pass #akgnotificationsquad
Imagine if guns in Tarkov eventually degraded to this kind of condition as the durability goes down. 100% would love to see a breakdown and rework for this rifle. It desperately needs some real love.
I would like to see the dynamic chemistry when Brandon joins Zach and Mike (the two dudes (i think) who made Zach Gun Rants of Fallout). I think both Brandon and Zach ( I might have mixed up the two) would share two braincells together when they see a hacked off AK.
yeah then they can review my cursed AK mod for fallout 4, the handmade bullpup (Everyone in my community has harassed me to show it to the three of them)
I've always had AKs but was in no means an expert and was of course shafted when I bought a Bulgarian 74 that was thrown together in Bubba's gun shack. Since watching your content I've been able to fix her up properly. Lined up the front sight post and gas block, rivet properly and with a proper receiver. It used to intermittently not pick up a round and it wouldn't pick up a round at all if you charged it vertically. Now it's my favorite rifle with zero issues after 3k ish rounds. Thanks for the knowledge shared. Added an ultimak gas tube/rail with the PA advanced micro dot and she has taken many of wild pig.
@@jacobpeters5458 i wouldn't blame the original factory. The US builder was at fault due to the riveting and receiver fit/manufacturing that takes place here. All the original parts are high quality.
Honestly as someone who has never even fired or owned a firearm before I've never experienced how painful experiencing being in the presence of something like that AK is.
its because he knew it was relatively safe because the actually dangerous part was not built by person that build the receiver. think of it like a cannon the cursed part was the wheels and chassis not the actual cannon itself
As a Serbian I must tell you, you must know that this is some broken rifle and probably used in on of the toughest battles of Yugoslavian wars, and as I heard it was better than original AK in performance, and you can't even imagine what this rifle went through, and the soldier who used it
Unfortunately it’s not nearly as cool. In America most rifles that don’t serve a “sporting purpose” have to be de-milled before being imported. This rifle was likely imported as a parts kit, and was re-assembled in America by someone that clearly had no idea how to build an AK.
I think it’s fair to say that Brandon constantly dropping this tragedy of an AK is actually more likely to dent something back into shape rather than make it worse.
That thing reminds me of the M16 I was issued in Army boot camp. The mag would fall out after the 3rd or 4th round, the upper floated around because the assembly pins were worn out. Just one hell of a challenge to shot.
Just realised that because of the way feeding barely works, you have to manually force the bolt carrier forward, essentialy making this a 7.62x39 garand
Brandon went through the extreme to get that AK, it was so extreme, in fact, that it was a harder journey that what your parents described going to school was.

The one week AK would probably end up with a glod plated flame job or at least something that looks like a COD skin, at least if it were a kit build that is.
If someone threw that together in three hours before an ambush one afternoon, they should have saved themselves 2-1/2 hours and made a zip gun. The cycle rate would have been about the same. lol. Shouldn’t there be a shirt that says, friends don’t let friends bolt together AK kits?

@Joshua, a fluffer… oh boy.. it would be great if you just urban dictionary it… In an adult film, in which, likely the scenes take a long time and there’s a lot of takes and stuff like any film, all of the bad edited out and stuff, the male actors especially sometimes need to be “stimulated” off screen to keep going. Someone called the fluffer would do that. That’s as descriptive as I feel like Im allowed to be. Just look it up.
This AK literally looks like someone ran over it with a truck and proceeded to do a burnout on it. It’s basically functioning like a bolt action AK, interesting. Now I wanna see an actual bolt action AK build, for some reason.
Probably wouldn't be too hard. To have something that could be sold in countries that don't allow semiautomatics, Browning took the (civilian) BAR, completely removed the gas system, replaced the ported barrel with a non-ported one, replaced the charging handle with one from a bolt action, named it the Maral, and market it as a straight-pull.
God, this feels like something out of a Metro/Fallout style apocalypse game, absolutely beat to shit, jams on every shot, risking getting hurt by detonation every time you pull the trigger, but I'd still run it over the even crappier and literal pipe-guns of the average raider.

BUT! "Almost" ONE YEAR LATER! I happened to be at the gunshop the transfer was done at for the buyer of said AK, the shop owner told me "Hey, interesting tid bit of information. We still have that AK you sold that guy. Its in the BACK!
Curious I asked the owner why it was still there after almost a year. The owner informed me, that the buyer of my AK ended up in hot water and he cannot purchase firearms until he gets certain things taken care of.
A week or so later I found the guy working between the town I live in and the next bigger town south of me, joking and knowly I asked him about the AK he doesn't have "Hey I remember you, how's the AK doing?" The guy claimed "Oh I took a file to it and its working great".
A few days later I ended up at the same gunshop again and asked the shop owner if the AK was still there and I was told "Yep, the AK is still in the back and the guy is still in hot water" 😂😂😂
Next time I'm at the shop I should see about purchasing it back and have @Brandon Herrera do a "Cursed Romanian AK" video! 😂😂😂😂😂 (Sorry if this was a long post!)

It just proves how horrible an AK has to be for it to fail to function.
It looks like someone ran over the received with a tank, and then straightened it with a screwdriver and a hammer while replacing the lost rivets and with whatever was laying around.... yet, it still could send rounds down range, albeit restricted.

Unfortunately it’s not nearly as cool. In America most rifles that don’t serve a “sporting purpose” have to be de-milled before being imported. This rifle was likely imported as a parts kit, and was re-assembled in America by someone that clearly had no idea how to build an AK.
