Great my mother made these back in the 70s.were polish from Clifton new Jersey!. I dont know why or who told her but she used Golden raisins in hers and just reg sugar on top. If I did em I'm using powder sugar whip cream. Maybe fill some with jelly.but the smell of those babies frying in crisco.make a mule kick his mammy. She pronounced them poonchskis..u had me at fried dough

They have a crepe shop here by me and even though not fried they hit really hard 2. I get sweet style whip cream bananas nutella or the breakfast type. With meat cheese eggs veggies .there great 2.
