I'm trying a new format with a mini group class to help give you multiple perspectives of what the practice will look like for different bodies and help to give the group/community wherever you're practicing. Let me know your thoughts below, if you think I should post more videos like this or stick to one-on-one. Thanks!
I liked it! It helps me related to each of them depending on the pose, it helps to notice what is normal, natural and what is definitely wrong, since there is no one here to correct me.
This format is fantastic, it's great to see different body types and skill levels at the same time. My only feedback would be that sometimes it's difficult to see everyone at the same time, the 2 in the back are often blocked by the 2 in the front. In the main shot showing all 4, if you could widen the gap between the 2 in the front row, and bring the 2 in the back row closer together then we should be able to see all 4 clearly at the same time without any being blocked. Ideally if all 4 are in plank pose or down dog, then we should be able to see all 4 clearly. Other than that, this is great please keep going with it!
I honestly enjoy your one-on-one sessions. They are cozier, I feel like your speaking to me directly and they are always full of corny dad jokes ( which we all love!). Your more yourself in your traditional setting, which separates you from the commercial yoga videos and yoga wanna- be instructors. Please don’t stop filming your regular sessions!!
This was great, I did all your 30 days challenges and now, I'm kind of lost not knowing what to do next. Having to work outside during the pandemic is very stressfull and sometimes I feel nervous. You saved my life. I had never practiced Yoga before and don't know if I am doing things the right way. The way you explain is very clear but seeing other people doing it is very important as well. For once I get to see people that are not mastering every position. And that's reassuring.
Tim! My friends and I have been following you for many years, since your OG days. We used to gather and put you on a laptop in the front of the room and practice together quite often. It's amazing to see you reach this level of professional production, style and quality. I hope you can keep producing classes in this format with several body types in gorgeous locations such as this. Thanks for putting classes out through this pandemic and keeping us all healthy and limber.
Honestly, I do not have a preference...inside, outside, one person, multiple people...it's all good. What is important is YOU, your cues and your knowledge.
I agree the setting is lovely and for an easy flow like this the class format is fine. I mostly listen anyway. However, when I do look at the screen it is because I want to see something in more detail. The class format does not afford such a close up of anybody. All that is a lead up to my vote which is - add the group setting to add variety but also keep doing flows with just one person demonstrating. Thank you.
I like the studio and the new format. It's a change, for sure, but interesting, and it's educational to watch Tim as an instructor, rather than as a yogi.
I like this format. I can see various options and how you correct a sloppy pose. Tim is more paced and focused because he can see people of various abilities and understandings doing the poses.
Tim. I love the new format. I see other people dig the intimacy of your regular format but for me I miss the group practice of prepandemic days. There is a connectedness with the yoga community that being part of this format provides. Hearing you speak to other students is a great que for me to listen to and check myself on. It was a wonderful experience to feel a part of a studio again. It has been a while and this reminded of how I have missed it. Thank you so much for that. The flow was lovely and very relaxing. The studio was outstanding. I am definitely looking forward to more. Namaste
Boy what a lucky bunch of people to be able to practice with the Great Tim AND vacation in Baja! I bet afterwards you all gathered together at the cantina, shared some churros and margaritas and laughed as you shared your yoga adventures! Wish I was with you!
Seeing new people doing the same movement and pose is really helpful. I really like it. I'll miss it if you do all of your videos in that format but I would love to see it from time to time. The practice was really nice and calming. Thank you so much!
Hi Tim- thanks for reaching out to us for input. Personally, I try not to look at the screen as much as possible when doing online yoga, only glancing when unsure of a position, so I found the extra people a bit distracting. In general though, I would say that if you want to go with the class perspective, then your students should have a wider range of abilities- all four of these yogis seemed quite advanced and flexible. Your videos have a definite strength component to them, which often attracts people who have very limited flexibility, especially in the hips and shoulders. Cheers, and thanks again!
I really like the outdoor settings, but change brings flexibility! It's always good to mix things up a bit. I appreciate being able to see other folks in the poses, and really appreciate your verbal cues when I'm looking down...or falling over. :-)
I enjoyed the spectacular studio setting. Different body types also help for a reference. I could see better your corrections. The cameras had good spacious movement to zero in and the lighting was just right. I like the 45-60” class. Two of these 25” classes back to back might work. This class was a warm up detox. Good in itself. This is a nice change. Still, don’t give up the roof, Ollie, and the outdoor format. Finally you should let Ollie into the group class, he brings something too.
Tim, I come to these classes late. I have multiple routines that I do on a rotating basis, so I get to yoga about three times a week. I really like the mini class setup, because it allows me to see how different people with different bodies handle the poses. Absolutely beautiful setting!
It's so cool to see how different people, with different body types, do same thing. Everyone have their way of getting into something, but it isn't wrong. Great idea! 🤗
As many others below, I really like this type of class on occasion, but not all the time. I'd love to see more on-location practices, especially at a time when our governments seem to like to keep us locked up as much as possible. During our various flavours of lockdown, I was continuously searching for yoga classes in beautiful outdoor spaces / in nature as a form of escapism. Thanks for all you do!
I enjoyed the variety but I agree with the previous comment that the old format makes it more personal as well as you share more of your fun humor, which I very much appreciate!! So-maybe doing this occasionally would be helpful. As always, good practice and many thanks Tim🙏🙏🙏🙏

I have been following you for nearly a year, since lock down. I greatly appreciate your explanations and jokes. I like this format, seeing different people and flexibilities. But also to be ‘part’ of a class setting. Something I miss at times.
I appreciate that you had different body types and levels. I personally prefer the videos where it is just you or one other person you are instructing, but all your videos are always great. Thank you for the practice.

This format makes it feel like I am actually in a yoga class which is super refreshing since I haven't been since the pandemic started. I surprisingly really enjoyed it and I liked how you are able to give more verbal instructions this way. Both individual and group formats are great!
I enjoyed this just as much as the individual videos, I liked the change and the pace which seemed a little easier for me (58yr old). I have been doing your videos for years Tim and always appreciate your efforts to bring something new so thank you once again 😊
It was such a great thing to be able to see "real" people practice yoga! Yes, Tim always says that you don't have to have the perfect poses, but it is much better when visualised.
Hi Tim, I live in a hot climate and no much vegetation, just like today's video. I prefer the beach setting because I rarely get to see the beach. Anyway, I love the group class. Thank you for trying so many different setting, people, and perspectives. I love your classes.
This is great teaching as not everyone is as good or perfect as other yoga experts. This is beneficial to warm bodies where you can learn as much as watching you, Tim. Nice scenery! A big thank you to you! Enjoy your videos as always!

I like the new format, thank you. But since I usually don't study the movement in the video and follow more with your voice, having just one person or you in the video is fine too. (Love this studio, so peaceful.)

Really like the class setting. Visual variety helps me so much. Not practicing at the studio with others has been a major downer for me this year. Even through the TV, the energy feels different. I love it!
I do like this new format. I've been to Baja although not at Michele's studio although my memories of being in that beautiful land by mountains and ocean made this practice even more enjoyable. Thank you Tim and to your yogis with you for this practice!!

Great sequence. I liked the connection of the lower ribs brought into plank and downward dog. A strong, yet calm focus with smooth pacing. Nice!

I like the new format, thank you. But since I usually don't study the movement in the video and follow more with your voice, having just one person or you in the video is fine too. (Love this studio, so peaceful.)

Really like the class setting. Visual variety helps me so much. Not practicing at the studio with others has been a major downer for me this year. Even through the TV, the energy feels different. I love it!

Really enjoyed this new format Tim. Its like being in a yoga class back at the gym and practicing with people who have various strengths and weaknesses. We’re not all perfect and makes me feel human! Lets have more like this please but may up the difficulty/challenges a little. Thank yiu.
