I was looking for an easy crock pot dinner with some chicken breast I had. This video was only 4 minutes long and had some good views so I clicked; after 2 minutes I went to prepare my dinner. Within 10minutes I have all the ingredients in my crock pot. Now I am watching the last 2 minutes. I will update after we eat!

I've made it four times. The last two times, the chicken has been a little dry and the bottom was dark while the top was fine. I think I didn't put enough seasoning (oil and indegridents) I wonder if i need to put some water in it.

I made this - but put in fewer potatoes, more carrots and some beans. And instead of salt I used chicken seasoning, I also added a little water as it looked a bit dry. But it was very tasty! Will make it again

Just a note to say that I'm thinking of you as I make yet another of your recipes, this one for about the fourth time. I saw some comments on a recent video (the baked potato casserole) that you'd not been feeling well. Life is hard and you make it easier for us with your recipes. I hope that somehow, life is a bit easier for you in return. It's always worth living. xo

Yes we had our first slow cooker in the mid 1980s and loved it. Put it on in the morning and come home to a cooked meal after a hard day’s work and journey. We then fell out of love with it and can’t remember what we did with it - we bought a smaller one recently and it’s great. We’ve been saying for ages we’ll have to get another slow cooker - and now they are all the rage

I tried the One Pot Slow Cooked Chicken Dinner last night and it was a success, i ate half the recipe and then my friends took a small little teaspoon and i said so if you like it why you don't eat more? (womens) I ate the other half tonight and i got the winter vegetable recipe cooking! You guys are literally saving me loads and keeping me well fed. Thank you, and by the way you guys are awesome! I gave this a go today using fresh coriander instead of oregano, the aroma during cooking is amazing, I had to put a "do not open" note on the slow cooker because I knew someone would be tempted to open it. The end result was delicious, I added a chicken cube and a little corn flour to create a thick sauce with the juices and it was amazing. I plan to try cooking fish in this marinade next time. Thanks OPC.

Thank you so much for sharing. I finally used my 2 crock pots which I haven’t touched at all in the box. At first, I used chicken breast and added more measuring. It was good. I thought I should use chicken wings since it adds more flavor and I doubled up on the measures the second time. It tasted fantastic! Chicken wings is better because the flavors gets all around it and it’s great to munch on a delicious wings with your dressing. My crock pots are very exciting.... learning to cook really good meal and I am getting to be real good cook like you! Know what else is good? A bottle of great red wine with my husband! potatoes are a really underappreciated workout food, they're easy to digest, high in vitamins and minerals, and if you cook them in a healthy way they're really low calorie vs how filling they are (boiled potatoes ranked #1 out of over 100 foods on the satisfaction scale). They're also super high in potassium which is great for staving off post workout cramps! They're more of a pre-workout food due to being high in simple carbs though. The chicken in this recipe is high in protein and low in fat too, which makes this a great workout meal

Oh my David! This looks amazing! I would love to use bone in skinless chicken thighs, or "chicken chops" as they call them in Melbourne..I got some birthday money to spend & you have finally convinced me to buy a slow cooker rather than pressure. Thank you David :)

Hi there, Chef ... I just wanted to let you know that I am making this dish for supper at my house. Have to leave out the carrots, because I ran out of fresh. Be back later with my review. :)

Daniel G Hey, I made this dish quite awhile ago but totally forgot to do the review. I cannot do it on video, but I will leave it here a.s.a.p.
Thank you for reminding me. :)

+Dylan Heath As much as I appreciate your interest in my review, please don't nag me about it. Not that it is anyone's business, I guess I should tell you that I have been very ill for a long time - since I made my version of the chicken dish.
However, since you did ask, here is what I did:
My slow cooked chicken dinner did not turn out just as good as this one in the video. I think I added a little too much water, so the potatoes were too mushy for my taste. The leftover broth went into the freezer. I had to leave out the carrots because I didn't have any at the time. When I make this again, I will be sure to tweak the recipe to my taste and hopefully leave a more thorough review. Hopefully I will be feeling better by then.

Hi I love watching your videos because you make everything so simple to understand and have been after a slow cooker for ages. What is the litre capacity of the one you use?
    Peace

Just made this today for dinner tonight. OMG this was wonderful. Chicken was so........moist, potatoes were cooked to perfection and my baby carrots that were from a bag were delicious. So nice to come home from work and dinner was done. I did thicken up the gravy, which by the way was great. Thank you for sharing a wonderful recipe.

Know this is over 4 years old, but I'm a new subscriber, and this is the first one that came up as recommended.
And glad it did. And thank you, and hope to see much more in the slow cooker. I live in Phoenix, AZ. The high today is 115degrees f. Last thing I want to do is turn on an oven! 😉😓

I suppose… but olive oil is a great fat to us because it’s a short-chain fatty acid which is far better utilized by our bodies than other oils.
Potatoes are great and not so evil as everyone tries to say they are. Moderation is key and yes put in other veggies as you prefer.. Sky is the limit!

    • @2faced972

In a crock pot, it's generally pretty common to cook most things on low for 8 hours.
