      I couldn't understand what you used after the cracked pepper. It LOOKED like Creole seasoning, but I don't know that that would go with soy sauce

      Bless you love! I have limited mobility at times too🥹 A good investment is a roast too because you can have roast beef sandwiches, stew, vegetable soup, tacos or shred it and scramble it into eggs. Slowly invest in good spices if you haven’t they make everything taste amazing. xx♥️
      If anybody saw my error “hood spices” I apologize🤦🏻‍♀️ I need to wear my glasses. I corrected it 🤓

    A.B. I tried your recipe today and I was totally blown away. I fixed 7 drumsticks for the family, thinking it would be enough...wrong! After I put it on in the crockpot, I went back 5 1/2 hours later....talk about meat falling off the bone...wow. The judgement came from my wife and daughters and they are very picky....I got 10 stars out of 10. The girls loved it. I only wish I would have thrown in the remaining drumsticks (4), as we wanted more. This is a great "goto" recipe....you will not be disappointed.

    Looks great and I can't wait to try it. Just an fyi, I have a friend who is retired from the fire department and also retired as an instructor that teaches classes on firefighting. He states that one of the most dangerous things you can do is leave a crock pot running while you are at work with nobody home. He flat out tells me NOT to do it. He has seen way to many fires caused by unattended cooking with crock pots. So take that as you will. Good luck and make some great food.

    • @allans7281
      @allans7281 8 місяців тому +3

      How would it cause a fire? It just turns to warming

    • @treau3131
      @treau3131 8 місяців тому +8

      @@allans7281 The devices uses wires and a heating element. Anytime your dealing with something that generates heat you can run into an issue. While it is remote it can still happen. If your not at home you can do NOTHING about it. Same reason they tell you not to leave a space heater running when unattended.

    • @vladdy1995
      @vladdy1995 7 місяців тому +2

      Yes that is indeed true . The newer crock pots come with a steam blow off valve but essentially pressure cookers and crock pots use pressurized steam to cook the ingredients faster and more thorough, say you make that choice to leave it unattended (I’m agreeing with you ) and it somehow keeps the heat going , chances are it will keep leaking out , slowly running out of fluid inside and turns everything into carbon, slowly igniting it , leading to a house fire. This is done over a span of hours. If you do that with no safe guards, you don’t think too far ahead .

    • @moorek1967
      @moorek1967 27 днів тому +1

      Then what is the point of a crockpot? It is made for that purpose, to cook long and slow. If he wants you to attend the 8 hours it takes to cook something, you might as well make it in less time with less flavor in the oven.

    I love it because of just a few ingredients. It’s lunch time here in Texas and I have not eaten. When you took a bite of that I could almost taste it here in the lone star state. I think this is going to be my staple food through the week. I am thinking one could do the same thing with pork chops.

    I know that's gonna be good. I'm gonna make it but I think I'm gonna add some peppers probably jalapenos to add some heat to go with the sweetness. Actually I the first time I'm gonna make just like you showed then I'll go from there

    Whats up AB!! I did this up for my family with boneless skinless thighs. I also steamed some broccoli and tossed it in the same sauce. Put it all over rice and it turned out great.

    I’ll have to try this recipe. My mom makes a similar dish but with brown sugar instead of honey and makes it with pork steaks. I’m pretty sure it was a 1960s/70s recipe. Thanks for the video!

    I love that I can always come to your channel and grab a recipe that’s going to be fire. I’m making this tonight. Didn’t have honey so used agave and brown sugar instead, worked perfectly when I tasted it. Thank you for doing what you do.
