I have a 2011 Honda Accord LX-P model. It doesn’t have the Premium Sound System. I’m planning to replace the factory radio to a touchscreen one.
Amazon says the Metra 70-1730 doesn’t fit with my car and I should use 1729. My problem with this the aftermarket radio accepts RCAs for the speaker wire.
Do you think I can use 1730 (what you used in yhis video) or if not, how do you think I should go about using 1729?

I have a 2010 TSX but the console looks almost identical. Thank you for the instructional video. My only issue is my car already has an intergrated microphone so I'll figure that out when I get there.

Damn. Was hoping this head unit needed a speed signal. I'd already done this install minus the VSS. I got the Crutchfield master sheet and it mentions under drivers dash fusebox pin 14 (blue wire) on a white or blue 20 pin connector but there are two 20 pin connectors with blue wires.
Where did you connect the subwoofer wire to on the radio itself? I have a red and white wire to plug it into

Hello. Thanks for the detailed video on installing an aftermarket radio into a 08-12 Accord. I picked up a 2010 accord coupe for my niece, who is in college. I'm installing a double din pioneer unit and back up camera. I want to ensure I don't damage the temp gauge controls when I remove from the radio surround. After the screws are removed, does it just come right out from the back. Other videos show it having to be pushed out with some force from the front. Thanks Carck
I don’t know if you made this video to show case how good you are in doing this or wanted to help some one because I find it hard to follow your instructions,, the only thing I got from this video was what to buy but the connection nothing to fast of an explanation. Know Im left with all this wires and not sure what to do 🤦🏽🤣

Did you have to tap into the factory harness? Couldn’t you connect the steering wheel control wires to red and black on the aftermarket harness? Ground and constant 12v is not specific.....
Is there any way to have to have the top display still display clock and other basic information? Mine is dead after installing double din unit.

@@domos_yt335 do it yourself. its really not difficult at all. I just installed this same setup in mine. I had no prior soldering experience prior, or radio install experience. as far as the radio, and dash kit goes I got everything in just fine.
I keep installing my climate controls. The recycle button keeps getting stuck. The vents were put down first then the climate controls. Did u have issue with that?
With the scosche dash kit, I can't figure out how to get two of the screws in that go up from the bottom. They screwed into the metal frame of the old radio. Didn't note if there are holes for it in the scosche plastic brackets. Any guidance would be appreciated. Nice video by the way.
great video, i have 2011 accord, and i was wondering can the top screen be replaced with a different kind or type of screen/monitor? Lastly, not everyone sells that same wiring harness that you have with the rca's on the end. Best Buy didn't even have that.

What dash kit was it? I'm interested in replacing that screen with a faceplate so that I can put some USB C charging ports.
It would be better if someone showed us how to get the main cable out. I got all of the radio cables out, except one.
did you disconnect the top display above the radio when you connected this unit? also would you recommend this over the setup of placing a unit above the dashboard?
Can I just add the pins to the harness included with the kit that way I don't have to tap in to the pink and brown wire in the stock harness for the axxessinterface??
My ac controls are not displayed anymore on the display. I plugged in the ac connection. I have the ac controls with the knobs. Any suggestions?

Don’t use the subwoofer wire he has in the video just connect your rca cable from your subwoofer amp to the radio and connect your blue remote wire to the blue wire and the radio wire harness
Hello. I was able to get all the parts for my install except for the SW harness. What about the other 3 plugs/harnesses from the factory head unit, do these simply not connect anywhere??

Hi Provo Beast! Huge favor, I have the same radio without navigation as shown in this video and can not get the PAC SWI-RC to connect to the steering wheel controls. To confirm, are you only connecting two wires from the PAC SWI-RC to pin 16 pink and pin 5 brown as shown in the video? Are any other wires being connected from the PAC SWI-RC? Last question, do the dip switches on the PAC SWI-RC not work which is why we need to program the PAC SWI-RC? All of my confusion is coming directly from PAC and their provided instructions on their site after I plug in my car info (2012 Honda Accord no navigation). Any information is greatly appreciated, I am going crazy. Thanks!
Some pioneer stereo have a pink speed wire, where would you hook that wire to on a 2010+ Honda?

I have the iDataLink Maestro for the steering wheel control. It connects to the Pioneer stereo using a 3.5mm jack. How does your steering wheel control connect to the Pioneer stereo?

I followed all of the instructions but the volume was very very low. So I installed another wire harness without the av jacks stereo works great but now my engine cranks but will not start. All lights work and stereo works. Could I have possibly just drained the battery due to having the interior lights on as the sun went down and it was the only light I had to work with? I have a 09 Honda Accord lx
Possibly, lots of variables there. Using a multimeter will help you identify if you have a dead battery. The harness with the rca ends are only used for accords with the factory amplified sound system. If you don’t have the factory amped sound system, the other harness in the description is needed.

Would anyone be able to tell me where to find the instructions to program the steering wheel box. I went on the website and it tells me what switches to flip and how to wire it but it never says hot to program it. In the video he needs to press different buttons on the steering wheel and push the program button but I can not find it anyone. Thx in advance

You can always do a float mount screen and go larger.
My Radio wont really work, very low signal even with the Adapter and the blue cable plugged into the Red wire... I'm not sure but the plug does not seem to really be making contact on the inside .... anyone having the same issue?

I believe only accords of this Era with navigation have Bluetooth. This video is for no nav accords. I could be wrong but my 09 premium audio, no navigation had no Bluetooth stock. Your HU should have bluetooth and doesn't need it from your car

No, we retained the factory amplifier with the new radio.
You didn't show where to plug the speaker
So the two Phillips head screws under the plastic you have to pop off wknt come out. The one near the ignition just keeps spinning and won’t come out don’t know what to do

This is awesome! I did have one question, I bought a Sony headunit (XAV-AX150) that has a dedicated steering wheel control connection, do I still need the module if it has that?
Yes, as there are multiple connections for the buttons on the accord, more than the harness provided with the Sony. Going with the pac module will simplify your install (in theory) and will come preprogrammed for your buttons already.

So I’m just a kid that knows nothing about this, so don’t laugh at me but how do I find a dash kit that fits what radio I buy? Do they make different ones I can just buy that have a few standard sizes that will fit the radio I choose? I’m just confused to how that works
The parts we linked in the description will fit any standard double din radio so just find a radio you like and the kit will work (as long as it is a standards single din or double din)
