VW915 here, great video, watching it again as I’m working on a stray KLR in the garage. I’ve done stuff like that and what seems like a good idea, bust my rear. Enjoying the commentary and scenery. Thanks again.
Z Shark ... Very nice job with the video series. My wife and I tune every week to watch the vids. The riding solo is extra special and is a great challenge. That snow needs to melt faster.
Wow! That's a great adventure. Your trip is so dynamic and thrilling. It's similar to me that you find the landscape of the remote area. I'm glad to see your great channel again. Have a happy end of the year with your family. 🤗🤗🤗👍👍👍🤝🤝🤙👌
I had to subscribe. Stumbled onto your channel because I'm starting the AZBDR this weekend. I ride dirt bikes (2 stroke motocross set up for desert racing...but not suitable for this application) but I will be doing it overland style in my Chevy Avalanche. Love your style man. Im doing this solo as well! Videos are great and very entertaining. I live in Tucson, but due to work, ill be doing the AZBDR in sections over the next couple months (snow permitting). Anyway, keep up the strong work. Adventure on!
Hey Jason.. thats awesome man. Im sure the AZBDR will be great in the Chevy as well. Curious how it goes. Enjoy the adventure and thanks for the Sub. 👍
Had to watch first before reading the comments I was worried about you running out of gas and here I'm worried about going to buy a new dr650 2020 because of snow in Michigan you're out riding in it
I just have got me a DR Love it so far but haven't got to ride it very much due to broken bones not from the bike Freak accident playing in the yard with my son Still upgrading mine But I would love to try and go solo Riding are with a group I have just found your videos Would love any information you could provide Upgrades Are anything else Thanks
Hi Chris.. Thanks for watching. Upgrades to the mighty DR are endless. I would suggest going on Procycle website.. They have everything you need.. Top 5 for me is... seat.. bigger fuel tank.. suspension..lower and bigger footpegs.. and raising the bars.. This will make the DR a lot more comfortable on long trips..Hope you heal up fast man.. See you on the trail !!!
Without giving too much away.. sort of :) Ahh Nice!! The DRZ 400 is a great bike.. Still pretty light for off road stuff. And will do street travel ok.. And the best part is you can find them cheap usually. I recommend avoiding snow if you get one :)
Nice work, I love your editing and commentary. Totally brings me back to the route I did 2 x this year these parts and it is so cool to see your reaction to the views and the camp you stopped at after valley I stopped there tried to fly my drone and it was broken lol. What camera do you use for your zoom shots that is awesome stuff! Great work man I love this series so far!
Thanks 2WT... As you know.. Editing takes a lot of work. Bummer about the drone. Im thinking about getting one in the spring maybe. My Zoom in camera is a Sony Handy cam FDR-AX33.. But i can't recommend it.. It stopped working altogether on this trip. And pretty heavy to carry. I'm now using a canon G7X. Zoom not great.. But able to get great stills now.
@@ZSharkPH that’s a bummer I guess we ride motorcycles off road so we can expect electronics to not last as long but it’s still a bummer. Great series though I love it man!
Great video, but dude you need to carry a water filter so you don't have to boil water (like a Sawyer), and even a drunk bear could get your food in 2 minutes; you either need a bear bag, or a way bigger tree
Loving your footage! Great views! What an adventure!
What an amazing adventure. Looking forward to the next video.

I can safely assume you made it out OK? Got to admit, your videos have me looking at the DRZ.

“You want adventure? I’ll give you adventure!” - You said it “Whiskers”
Loving this trip. Got a couple minutes left to see how this one turns out. Only 1000 views? People are missing out on some good content.
thanks for the kind words.. hope to upload more soon.
@@ZSharkPH watching your AZ/Mexico trip now. Great stuff. Can’t wait to get my DR on some adventures like this.

Thanks for the tips.. they are all valid points. I carry a life straw for emergency. But a filter would make life easier..
Sketchy ..😂
Indeed it was ❄
No water anywhere as he crosses creeks, rides by a lake and cruises through snow.🤣
plenty of vegetation for h2o too!
