I just hope to see more about the story and gameplay of TOTK. Also, it would be amazing if they announced a wave of LEGO Zelda sets to be released along with TOTK. I doubt it will happen, but I can always hope.
I think tears of the kingdom will be the main focus and take up about 12 minutes of it, but I think most importantly is to get new information on Pikmin 4's release as well as other releases for late 2023 and through 2024. I think for tears are the kingdom we should have a big trailer showcasing answers to the big questions that we have whether there is underwater exploration, whether there is dungeons, new enemies, and whether or not there is an existence of large vast underground areas (which could be the dungeons)
In botw the hylians discovered the guardians & divine beast from digging them up. Imagine what will be discovered in TOTK after alot more soil is exposed😳.. Definitely gonna show off some of those secrets this Direct
After watching the original announcement and then this back to back. Sounds confirm Twilight realm in my opinion. I also believe there will be a sense of time travel between Present link and link that fought ganondorf pre BOTW. Also are they having Sky/land/subterranean play? It seems like it.
Remember at E3 2016 when Nintendo Treehouse showed off HOURS of gameplay for Breath of the Wild. Yeah, that was nice. Here’s hoping we get a new trailer for Tears of the Kingdom that’s at least a minute and a half long, to add to the other four minutes worth of what we’ve gotten.
I think, we'll finally get proper gameplay of TotK like... with GUI and all of that. Showing Link's basic abilities, mid-air combat and such. Maybe, we'll also get a teaser at MK8D DLC Wave 4. Possibly GB/GBC for Switch Online will be announced, but not sure how likely that is. What I'd wish to be shown but I'm 100% certain none of that will happen: Prime 4, new DK or DKC Trilogy remaster, F-Zero NX or F-Zero GX remaster.
I'm hoping that during this Direct they announce that they will be porting more older Zelda games to the Switch. I've played Ocarina, Twilight Princess and Wind Waker, however Minish Cap and others that don't get the same amount of attention as these 3D games are largely inaccessible to those that don't have (or no longer have) the old consoles or internet, it would be great to play these old games, and even introduce them to younger players.
Perhaps the tear Midna shed at the closing of The Twilight Princess, the Mirror's reappearance in Breath of the Wild, and the mysterious figure paired with Zelda have more to do with The Tears of the Kingdom than we could imagine
Good TotK prediction. I would add limited edition TotK Switch and season pass news too. TotK, being a late gen sequel, is in a weird place where it feels like a lot of people are buying it already. Its not part of a major hardware push. Arguably, they could go quite minimalist on the marketing while still getting the same sales. Will be interesting to see how much they decide to show.
What I want for the next Tears of the Kingdom trailer is a glimpse of the story. Link + Zelda’s relationship, Zelda’s fate and her character arc to being a strong/confident person rather than being a damsel of distress, returning characters (like Paya, Robbie, Purah,Kass, Sidon, Yunobo, Teba and Riju), Yiga Clan vs Shekiah Tribe, unlocking the secrets of the Zonai tribe, the Successors of the Champions fight along side Link, some Skyward Sword reference, Demise’s Curse, the Triforce, and the return of Ganondorf. Those are the things I wanted to see tomorrow!
it's going to be a DLC direct... Xenoblade 3 dlc, Splatoon 3 dlc, Fire Emblem dlc, Mariokart 8 booster dlc... all of that is going to eat up a lot of time... + trailers to a kirby remake, a Bayonetta prequel, Advance Wars Reboot Camp, Pikmin 4, potentially another brief teaser to Zelda TOTK with the announcement of a Zelda specified direct at a later date and maybe a new Mario baseball game... that's all folks... no new Mario, no Metroid, no F-Zero, no DK... stop getting your hopes up...
I wonder if they'll do a bit more in-depth look on Tears of the Kingdom with some gameplay and explanations about the changes compared to BotW. But I would be happy with a similar level trailer like we got for BotW in E3 2016 and at the Switch reveal event. The E3 2016 trailer focused on gameplay and the world but presented it cinematically, and the Switch reveal event trailer focused on the story. I think they might do a similar duo of trailers for this game. The gameplay overview trailer in this Direct, and then a story trailer closer to launch.
