@@stangabe1993 the cave of ordeals was a nightmare alley in the middle of agony city. Haven't done it in years, wonder if I could do it in the first try this time?

I think the heart piece from the Swordmaster in Wind Waker is worth mention. Hitting him 500 times before he hits you 3 times isn't particularly hard, except that paying that much attention for that long without making 3 mistakes is pretty difficult.
5:22 not 4 for each champion, 4 new at the great plateau which you have to complete with the One-Hit Obliterator while with a quarter of a heart, for each champion there's 3 new shrines
Trial of the Sword on Master Mode takes the cake for me for sure. Countless attempts before finally completing the 3rd trial. Grueling to say the least.
The big poes and n OoT actually spawn repeatedly if you just stand in the spot that triggers them. You can take your time link g up the shot standing still and just put two in em
Fairies' tears in the original Twilight Princess at the bottom of the 50 floor Cave of Ordeals. What a nightmare that one was. And at the very bottom you have to fight 3 Darknuts at the same time. And that's after facing another one on the 49th floor. So basically you had to fight 4 Darknuts back to back. And you have to do it ALL AT ONCE. All 50 floors with no stopping. Only saving grace if that you're allowed items and the Magical Armor (if you have enough rupees).
plus the fact you have to do it all in one perfect run of the cycle within the time limit. Take too long and, even if you win and get the dust, you won't have enough time to wait for the sword to get finished... hated that
@@DemonicBolt66 You usually have more than enough time to do that. Just hand over your sword to the blacksmith and slow down time to have even more time.
It is funny that you can sometimes win when it looks like you lost. Darmani: F YOU! F ALL YOU RACERS! YOU'RE ALL A-HOLES! Goron: Darmani! Darmani: WHAT!? Goron: You won dude. Darmani: I knew I could do it!
one really annoying thing about Majora's Mask: near the end of the Wedding Mask quest, the shop guy gives you a letter, from Kaifei to his mother. (the mayor's wife) you can deliver it yourself, in which case she gives you the 6th bottle, (and some Lon-Lon milk) or you can give it to the Postman and follow him, which gets you the Postman's hat. to get BOTH, you would need to do the entire wedding mask story TWICE! that bottle is one of only two items i missed on my last playthrough. (the other was the piece of heart on the moon that requires you to do all those tricky jumps as a Goron)
The only use out of the bigger Hestu's Gift is making Hestu do all 6 dances on command. 1 for each inventory upgrade type, and another of each from the original game.
I don't remember the boss rush being that hard. Then again, considering Koloktus was my favorite fight, starting with him guaranteed I'd make it to boss two with all my hearts. Although the more I think about it, the more Imprisoned 3 begins to haunt me once more
TotK's Majora's Mask is significantly easier if you've gotten a few Ancient Blades. Attach them to an arrow, shoot the Lynels with them...POOF, NO MORE LYNELS.
One of my biggest gaming accomplishments was getting the Hylian Shield in Skyward Sword. I barely made it (didn't know about the invulnerability potion, or the easy way to kill the Imprisoned) and it felt amazing. I can do it on Hard mode casually now, but when it first came out, no one could do it but me.
I actually got the Ancient Hero’s Aspect myself. I consider it a badge of honor. But I’m also missing the Hinox medal… purely because I may or may not have missed the one missable Black Hinox that’s only available during the siege on Hyrule Castle in the story. And that’s frustrating because I had gotten all the other monster medals for the Froxes, Flux Constructs, Gleeoks, Taluses, and Moldugas. I’ve scoured all of Hyrule twice over and now I fear that that is the one thing I will never get in TOTK.
I'm not sure if that one counts. But I do recall going crazy tryna find the last Hinox for my medal. Turns out, based on reviewing my Hero's path incorrectly, the last one was a Stalnox in the Giant's Forest when, early on, I came across it during the daytime and made the mistake of not leaving behind a stamp for a mental reminder. In hindsight, I didn't remember having to deal with panicky wild horses nearby when fighting the Stalnox at night (at last!) and later got my Hinox medal. Horses don't even LIKE being in forests IRL; they're planes animals. What's up with that??
@@Echo81Rumple83 The Hinox encountered during that run through Hyrule Castle after completing "Regional Phenomena" counts. If the Original Poster(OP) is missing a Hinox, try looking up the interactive map for Tears of the Kingdom and use "Hero's Path Mode" to cross-reference locations you've been to the locations shown on map. You also have to take out the ones in The Depths. If the missing Hinox is not on the surface, it's likely in The Depths.
Not going to lie, I'm glad I wasn't the only one to have an absolutely terrible time with the horseriding mini game in BotW. That took me way longer than it should have.
I actually got all of the seeds in botw, then upon realizing they were also in totk, I almost completely ignored them. I got a few mainly seeing familiar mini games that didn't require grinding.
The Floating Colosseum (with the Lynels) in TOTK was the first Colosseum I visited and triumphed over; okay, I died a few times, but I still did it. And it was also enough to make a Silver Lynel appear over a Blue Lynel spot in southwestern Hyrule somehow.
@@C41N4 boy I’m just saying it’s harder than some of the collectothons, I mean it’s like 60 floors and enemies you gotta beat it’s definitely harder than some of them 😭
I know Tri Force Heroes doesn't get much attention but the Fierce Deity Armor is a tough one. At the end of the Den of Trials you have to fight three Shadow Links at once, they have a randomized set of weapons that are more powerful than the ones you can use, their swords do two hearts of damage AND curse Link so he can't use his sword for five seconds, and they chase you relentlessly so they WILL hit you multiple times in a row.
I got all of these except Hestu's gift in Tears of the Kingdom which I am currently working on. It's very time consuming. But I agree with others that say trial of the sword for the permanently upgraded Master Sword is the hardest thing to get in any Zelda game. Completing it on master mode is probably the hardest thing I've ever done in a video game and I've completed and platinumed every souls game. People who have done the master sword trial in master mode know what a nightmare room 10 of the second trial is.
Big Goron sword is easy. OCT is actually pretty well designed where everything can be done with intuition. That being said it takes a lot of practice for the time trial items and you have to have explored the world enough to know where each item goes. Never needed a game guide for this but did love using the internet for a glitch guide so many fun things one can do
In Skyward Sword you can cheese the first boss fight you do. Potion Effects taken before fight on timer last during fights; so get the Monster Showdown cliff fight boss out the way to essentially get the shield no issue. The Zerg Rush is a killer for full runs so having max level invincibility saves you couple of minutes from taking damage.
I got the Link & King of Red Lions statue in the GameCube version of Wind Waker. I had to use a legal pad and about a dozen pages and check off everything as I went. It took weeks of just doing that. Totally worth it.
Large Cucco in Link between worlds was brutal, and although it’s theoretically nice to have a heal in practice it ends up being pretty useless. Maybe technically not an item but I’d count it in a list like this.
Wow he didn’t mention the hardest of all zelda items. It's a heart-piece Minish cap you get for gambling for all the figurines with shells. It takes thousands and is pure pain.
The magic seashells in Link‘s Awakening are a serious challenge to get without using a guide - you need to get enough in order to receive a sword upgrade/ the Koholint sword.
not to mention with the minish cap kinstone fusions that if you dont have the right kinstone with the farmer you can never fuse with him again and it locks out the whole quest
I will live and die thinking BOTW and TOTK would have been the absolute best time to bring dark link back. All the other hero’s in the game got blights that directly mimicked them but better. Dark link would have been a perfect fit as like one of the final boss fights or a fight to get the master sword
Finding all 1000 Korok seeds in TotK took me 13 actual DAYS and I was using a guide that gave their exact locations. It also took me three days to find the final one.
Majora's Mask in TOTK/BOTW is great. In BOTW you can also get it pretty quickly. I've never actually gotten the extravagant bridle/saddle from the horse riding games although I've finished BOTW multiple times otherwise. Too frustrating.
Finding just 20 Secret Seashells in the Game Boy version of Link's Awakening is one thing; finding all 50 in the HD Remaster is quite challenging, even with the seashell finder.
Well you can keep going back for more money. Every time you exit his house then re-enter to talk to him he'll give you another gold rupee. It's like unlimited money.
There is a gold skulltulla glitch that you can do to get 100 early in the game. All you need is bombs and the boomerang. Down the hole, under the tree, next to Zelda castle. Target the gold skultulla with the boomerang and stand next to the exit, throw the boomerang and the second the boomerang pics it up exit the hole. If done correctly you will collect it while exiting and when you go back in it will be back, and you can do it unlimited times. You can even go past 100 if you want. lol. I’ve done it most of my Playthroughs.
In link between world when doing the Treacherous Tower runs, while the enemies don't drop hearts, every 10th floor there are a couple hearts given, 5, 3 then 1 and I think the 40th has a fairy. Bring along a couple fairies and blue potion, isn't really so bad and pretty fun. Fire rod is your best friend
For number 2 (sws) hylian shield, I can smuggle affects in. Like invincibility, so take invincibility, fight demise and almost every time I have giriham 3 afterwards with invincibility time left
The hardest item for me to get in the franchise is the cow in Ocarina of Time, something that should have been on this list because of it's almost impossible condition to get. The condition is simple, complete the Lon Lon Ranch's obstacle course with Epona, but do for that you have to beat the record set by Malon, which is of 50 seconds. The problem is that you have to play the course perfectly if you want to at least beat the record by 1 second, getting at 49, and yes, it has to be in that time because if you match the record the try doesn't count.
I didn’t think the boss rush to get the Hylian Shield in SS was that difficult. But then again I was really determined to get it because I hated that the shields degraded over time.
In tears of the kingdom I was essentially forced to fight the armored silver lynal on 3 hearts I essentially had to beat it without getting hit and by the time I eventually beat it I was in tears from the relief
Ocarina of time: I never bothered to get the fourth bottle. I kinda suck at horseback archery, and while I was able to do the Gerudo minigame...I'm just not willing to hunt down all of the poes that disappear after 2 seconds of galloping at them. Especially since there's the glitch that lets you turn other items into bottles. Skyward Sword: You bet I got that shield! Not really worth the effort, but I still had fun. Windwaker: I never bothered to get any figures. LOL 😅 OOT Ice Arrows: I always get the ice arrows and then never use them because they're pointless. BOTW Master Cycle: This thing is cool, but by the time you get it there's not much else to do. Spirit Tracks Scrolls: I never got all of those! 😫 Majoras mask TOTK: My first playthrough it was one of the first things I got. My second playthrough I didn't bother to even go to the depths except for the initial Robbie mission. Extravagant saddle and bridle: These are actually pretty easy to get, but don't look cool enough to actually use. Horses are pretty much useless in that game anyway unless you have the ancient saddle that teleports them to you. Zelda 2 Adventure of Link: I don't remember much from that game other than a lot of furious anger and determination to win the thing so that I never had to play it again. I never played the Oracle games sadly. Hestus gift: Anyone who actually bothered to get all of the Koroks is freakin insane! Biggoron's Sword: Is so worth it and actually fun to get. I only played the original Wind Waker: Tycoon wallet: I got it my first playthrough, but yeah that side quest is tedious. supernet: I love Link Between Worlds and i got everything in that game!!! Of course I got all of the shrines in BOTW and TOTK. Fierce Deity mask: Ah I was wondering when this one would come up. I love that game soooooo much! Definitely my favorite Zelda. Getting all of the masks can be tough, but it's so worth it. Not just for the Fierce Deity mask, but for all of the story and character development you get. I didn't play the HD version of Twilight Princes. Only the original. Sadly, I never played Minnish Cap.
You just have to break yourself into Zelda 2. It's difficult but not hard to get the hammer. The Biggoron sword trading game isn't that tedious either. It's worth it. Collecting masks in Majora's Mask for the Fierce Diety's mask is worth it too.
I can get Majoras mask without taking a hit. Just bring lots of puffshrooms. Relynkn using those to attack and use ascend to retreat if needed. Makes beating 5 Lynels trivial. Also makes the entire game easier having majoras mask early game.
In totk I got majoras mask by endlessly pelting the lynels with cannon fire using zonai devices while safely located high above the colosseum and using ultrahand to hold and move active zonai cannons. It took a long time to chip away at their health
@zachtwilightwindwaker596 I didn't even know what the reward would be for the tedium tbh. I just went for it after discovering the arena and using a zonai hover bike to ascend to the top of the arena wall. It wasn't always clear if the cannon fire was actually connecting and damaging the lionel >v< I fired a lot of arrows at them and fell into the arena a few times when feeling impatient but just flew right back up to the top to resume cannoning the beasts at different angles. Getting the mask and monster spoils for the effort was kinda nice. It is unfortunate that by the time I got the mask, I had already beaten the game and gotten my fill of the game's content and done all the labrynth stuff and gotten the zonai battery armor set. I actually defeted gannons army with a zonai device: A horizontal wheel attached to a static platform with 4 laser emitters attached to the wheel in a + pattern. Rotating death rays shreadded all but the short gibdos that were able to crawl underneath the beam array. It trivialized the whole fight once I managed to construct it mid battle
Am I one of the only people who explored a good chunk of the depths before I did any of the sages..? I did the arena in TOTK for the mask without a single sage, didn’t even realize they existed, just spent like 3 hours building strategies.
I remember taking potions into the boss rush to get the hylian shield I took the stamina potion specifically for the imprisoned and a friend took fairies on his copy of the game I don’t know about the remake though
If I didn't have rewind I think I might have quit. Can't believe anyone did that original format. I was like I totally would have done this but wow this is frustrating.
I know they weren't quite the same thing, but I remember some of the transfer trade items, in Oracles, where you had to do specific things in each game, going between them, and reaching certain points, to get the best sword, shield, and some other things. Still, it annoyed me that getting the Hylian Shield, in SS, is probably harder than just beating Akuma (Demise), and either letting him "die 1,000 deaths!!!" any shields you had, or use potions to make them temporarily Indestructible, and fight through quickly enough. Just one more thing that makes SS my least favorite Zelda game.
4:36 idk man, I pretty vividly recall being locked out of progression a few times in the OG version.. didn’t have internet in my house back then though so I couldn’t see if I missed something lol
The Final Figurine in Wind Waker? Nah, fam. Actually 100% the Figurine Museum was tough because you needed Knuckle, the 4th Tingle bro. To get him, you needed to complete a mini-quest on Outset Island that required the Tingle Tuner, a GBSP, and a SP/GC link cable
I cheated with rewind functionality to do that Oracle music dance and even with that... unbelievable difficulty. And to think they locked 2 things behind a random chance window of 5% when you do beat the thing. Need to go finish that one
Should have waited a bit longer since a top 10 of this was already done less than a year ago and is almost the exact same. The only change between the last 10 items on this list and the one done last year is you swapped the Ice arrows and biggorons sword
Which of these items did you take the time to unlock? Was it worth it?

@@stangabe1993 the cave of ordeals was a nightmare alley in the middle of agony city. Haven't done it in years, wonder if I could do it in the first try this time?
22:02 Most relatable moment in this video.
I remember seeing someone online ask where Majora's Mask was located in the depths, and all 2 dozen replies said something like, "Floating Colosseum, you just have to kill a few monsters, nothing too challenging so you'll be fine."
I literally just bought ancient arrows at the place where Mineru is found by speaking to a construct.. They are 100 rupees for one. But it's worth it, got it the easy way out, that way and didn't fight any lionels. 😅
@@BleachShlokitbf if you’ve encountered a bunch of them, lynels aren’t even that challenging. All you gotta do is practice your parry and flurry rush. But ancient arrows are actually a good idea
@maxvandewalle5743 Yeah, I'm better at it now- but then I kept dying on the last lionel. Haha.
@@maxvandewalle5743 I didn't know about the mask when I went there. Someone told me there were 5 lynels there and I was like, "I'm about to farm the hell out of that coliseum!"
@@Thunderstar-ky4tfsame every blood moon we go back for free silver lynel horns😂
I think the heart piece from the Swordmaster in Wind Waker is worth mention. Hitting him 500 times before he hits you 3 times isn't particularly hard, except that paying that much attention for that long without making 3 mistakes is pretty difficult.
getting the 1000 hits is even more mind numbing lol
@@iLLadelph267 I remember that, oh yeah I spent some time on accomplishing it. I'd say it made me better at sword combat in all the games.
Like a normal person, I just clipped through the wall
Big goron sword..useful, hammer...necessary, 900 seeds for a piece you know what...utterly pointless.
OMG, I got PTSD flashbacks from the BOTW riding minigame footage! Playing these is the most exquisite pleasure ... for hardcore masochists.

Lmao "a hair from center"

I had a harder time getting the gilded sword in MM as a kid than the big goron sword. Struggled with the goron races.
I struggled like crazy as a kid. I had an easier time doing this as an adult
plus the fact you have to do it all in one perfect run of the cycle within the time limit.

Goron: Darmani!
Darmani: WHAT!?
Goron: You won dude.

The last piece of heart on the roulette wheel in Skyward was the biggest pain in the ass I couldn't deal with
21:09 yes, goron dancing is a royal in the buttinski. I did manage to acquire all rings eventually.
Can we just acknowledge that Bombchu Bowling in OoT was massively frustrating before the advent of gamefaqs 😩
one really annoying thing about Majora's Mask:
near the end of the Wedding Mask quest, the shop guy gives you a letter, from Kaifei to his mother. (the mayor's wife)
you can deliver it yourself, in which case she gives you the 6th bottle, (and some Lon-Lon milk) or you can give it to the Postman and follow him, which gets you the Postman's hat.
to get BOTH, you would need to do the entire wedding mask story TWICE!
that bottle is one of only two items i missed on my last playthrough.
(the other was the piece of heart on the moon that requires you to do all those tricky jumps as a Goron)
The only use out of the bigger Hestu's Gift is making Hestu do all 6 dances on command. 1 for each inventory upgrade type, and another of each from the original game.
I only realized that weeks after finishing all 1000 seeds 😂
I don't remember the boss rush being that hard. Then again, considering Koloktus was my favorite fight, starting with him guaranteed I'd make it to boss two with all my hearts. Although the more I think about it, the more Imprisoned 3 begins to haunt me once more
TotK's Majora's Mask is significantly easier if you've gotten a few Ancient Blades. Attach them to an arrow, shoot the Lynels with them...POOF, NO MORE LYNELS.
7:53 Got to be honest, a part me was hoping that the last one was a golden armored lynel when I first got to that part of Tears of the Kingdom
Don’t forget the side quest for turning kiltons bro into a blupee, and hudson construction signs in hyrule totk.
I am surprised you did not say the sword upgrade from Link's Awakening. Finding all those acorns without a guide is kind of hard
You mean the magic sea shells. 🐚
I’m suprised the fully powered up master sword for the botw dlc isn’t on here
Because it’s not hard. I’m not the best gamer and did it once in normal mode, and 4 times on MM.
Good strategy is all you need.
As long as the items are worth getting. It's find to do what you need to do to get them.
Majora's Mask in TOTK/BOTW is great. In BOTW you can also get it pretty quickly.
I've never actually gotten the extravagant bridle/saddle from the horse riding games although I've finished BOTW multiple times otherwise. Too frustrating.
Yeah.
As for the Big Poes in Hyrule Field, another annoying part about them is that they dissappear if they hit a wall as well
Finding just 20 Secret Seashells in the Game Boy version of Link's Awakening is one thing; finding all 50 in the HD Remaster is quite challenging, even with the seashell finder.
Me: "Let me guess, the fourth bottle?"
Video: Fourth bottle!
Me: "FUCKING CALLED IT!"
Grow up

In TOTK I thought the reward for the Lynel arena was something else and seeing Majora's mask pissed me off so bad 😭😭
I did the Floating colosseum early in my TotK playthrough, so I jumped from red with a few blues to black with a few silvers.
The Gold Rupee you get from collecting all 100 Gold Skultullas in OoT
Well you can keep going back for more money. Every time you exit his house then re-enter to talk to him he'll give you another gold rupee. It's like unlimited money.
@@gunslinger.3573 Right and at some point that would be useful, but by that time in the game there really isn't anything you need to buy.
@@tristanreagle7060 Oh I know and I have exploited it before. I only know of it working in a hole near Hyrul;e Castle.
The Big Poes appear if you stand or pass by a specific point. You can stand there instead of chasing them is easier.
the extravagant horse set in botw drove me INSANE
Fun fact about the bote shrines, there were only 3 per region. 4 for the Great Plateau at 1 HP
Collecting the Knuckle figurine in the original Wind Waker would be number 1 for me. You needed a GBA connected.
You forgot about the knuckle figurine and the controller accessory you needed to use the tingle tuner
I'd like to add the Great Fairy Sword from Majora's Mask to this list as well
The heart piece and the golden scale from OoT’s fishing hole.
Honestly the lightroot medal was pretty hard to get considering all the darkness and the cliffs and walls in the depths in totk
Couples mask Majoras mask. Such a long all 3 days encompassing side quest
I think I used the Gust Rod.
The constant cowbell playing in the back of this video is drove me insane. it also keeps reminding me of the cowbell Fortnite emote
The magic shield repairs itself.
Trail of the sword can be cheesed and majoras mask can be cheesed if you have attack up and and a royal guards claymore.
In tears of the kingdom I was essentially forced to fight the armored silver lynal on 3 hearts I essentially had to beat it without getting hit and by the time I eventually beat it I was in tears from the relief
I haven't beat skyward sword without collecting the Hylian shield because the final boss without it is so hard.
LOL 😅
OOT Ice Arrows: I always get the ice arrows and then never use them because they're pointless.
BOTW Master Cycle: This thing is cool, but by the time you get it there's not much else to do.
Spirit Tracks Scrolls: I never got all of those! 😫
Majoras mask TOTK: My first playthrough it was one of the first things I got.
I only played the original Wind Waker:
Tycoon wallet: I got it my first playthrough, but yeah that side quest is tedious.
supernet: I love Link Between Worlds and i got everything in that game!!!
You can stand still for big poe on its spawn and just look what route he takes.
I agree with the dancing it really is hard..imagine doing it with oracle of seasons and ages. 😭
I can get Majoras mask without taking a hit.
Just bring lots of puffshrooms. Relynkn using those to attack and use ascend to retreat if needed. Makes beating 5 Lynels trivial. Also makes the entire game easier having majoras mask early game.
Or in the words of Piccolo and everyone's favorite car company, DODGE!!!
In totk I got majoras mask by endlessly pelting the lynels with cannon fire using zonai devices while safely located high above the colosseum and using ultrahand to hold and move active zonai cannons. It took a long time to chip away at their health
The cheese method. I like it.
Ice arrows is easy to get. There is a hidden key in the maze room and how to get there is use song of time in the lava room
To get the saddle and bridal in breath of the wild, it is 1000 times easier to do the course backwards and it still counts it
Trial of Master Sword on Master mode is the hardest imo. Never passed the part.
I remember taking potions into the boss rush to get the hylian shield I took the stamina potion specifically for the imprisoned and a friend took fairies on his copy of the game I don’t know about the remake though
Goron dancing almost made me quit Oracles
If I didn't have rewind I think I might have quit. Can't believe anyone did that original format. I was like I totally would have done this but wow this is frustrating.
You definitely can take potions with you in the skyward sword trials
4th bottle in OOT deserves to be much higher on this list
I know they weren't quite the same thing, but I remember some of the transfer trade items, in Oracles, where you had to do specific things in each game, going between them, and reaching certain points, to get the best sword, shield, and some other things. Still, it annoyed me that getting the Hylian Shield, in SS, is probably harder than just beating Akuma (Demise), and either letting him "die 1,000 deaths!!!" any shields you had, or use potions to make them temporarily Indestructible, and fight through quickly enough. Just one more thing that makes SS my least favorite Zelda game.
Definitely phantom hourglass bow minigame heart piece as I was younger
4:36 idk man, I pretty vividly recall being locked out of progression a few times in the OG version.. didn’t have internet in my house back then though so I couldn’t see if I missed something lol
I had quite a few restarts til I figured out the path. There is not enough keys.
The great fairy sword is far harder to get than the fierce deity mask imo. Some of those stray fairies are really tucked away
The hardest of all time is certainly the final treasure chart in Wind Waker. Beating battleship in 19 or less takes soooo long and it completely luck
They didn’t show the Goron racetrack maze that you have to complete with an N64 controller which makes getting the fierce deity mask so freaking hard.
I remember getting the bombers ring on my second attempt. I nearly broke my cartridge playing that game
Arin Hanson knows about the pain the Joy pendants imply
Should have waited a bit longer since a top 10 of this was already done less than a year ago and is almost the exact same. The only change between the last 10 items on this list and the one done last year is you swapped the Ice arrows and biggorons sword
I like you use Link's motorcycle from Mario Kart 8 Deluxe on this video's thumbnail! 😅
