    I just started hula hooping. I bought an unweighted hoop last week. I usually play an episode of a sitcom on my laptop and hoop while watching. I doesn't even feel like I'm exercising! After one week, my boyfriend's says my tummy looks leaner.

      you can always try fun moves with it and make it a really cool dance workout. Put your favourite tunes on and see what moves you can come up with or follow some videos that teach some hoop tricks. Hope you are still in love with your hooping and achieving all your desired results. Lots of love to You

    My sister & I, along with our cousin, used to hula hoop a lot, ad I mean A LOT, when we were kids. And we grew up w/ small waists, the three of us. I'm now 30 with a waistline of 24, my cousin's 33 with one kid she still has a 25" waistline, my sister's 28 and she has a waistline of 23 inches. I can say it does work!

    So sad to see that Hoopnotica closed. Was it because of Covid? Darn!! I would have come to your studio!!! I'm about 3 hrs north of Venice and used to make a day trip and go out to Venice beach sometimes and dance and do yoga. I started hooping a couple of years ago off and on and for the last 3 weeks, pretty regularly. I also take 90 minutes of ballet a week. I'm 61 and have the classic "menopot" but I have already seen a 1 inch loss since adding hooping to my regimen!

    I love this tea. First it is surprisingly good. With the Weight Loss Green Store Tea product and the infused herbs, no sweetener is needed and it smells really good. Second it is very relaxing. I made my first cup after a particularly busy day at work and I could feel my body relax as I was drinking it. And third, it helps curb my appetite! I wasn't hungry and looking for a midnight snack as per usual.

    I really love hooping!! When i was 8, i used to hoop everyday with my playmates and i think that makes my waist never goes out from 23-25 as i grew up (i swear i'm skinny but my lower body part like my bum to my legs are huge T_T).. Idk if that was the real effect but i assumed it was! Now my waist is 26 and start hooping again after 12 years to maintain it at 24!! Wooah and i'm so addictive into it again :)

    I looooooved hula hooping when I was younger, never knew it had so many benefits. now I have an excuse to be all nostalgic and get me some hula hoops. :) will be honest though, the 3lb hoop that I just got is given me bruises, I call it battle wounds but not really sure that's normal.

    Omg I started hooping in April .. I love it.. So much fun I took it Saturday at a local college.. Tip don't bother getting a child's hola hoop. You need a bigger weighted hoop the bigger the easier it is.. It is very normal to get black and blue your waist your hands. It's Normal most of us did.. You really can be creative, a lot of hoppers on utube .. So much fun. I don't have room inside so I do it in back yard, but it's getting cold I'm going to have to rethink my hooping time... You w

      katsrayoflight I one was hooping and I got super sore so I think it's normal and okay. Taking a couple days to take a break is okay too because if you're sore it's just not going to be fun at all

      It's normal to get sore for the first few days (especially with weighted hoops) because just like any other exercises, it means that your muscles are working. For example, just imagine the day after a leg day. Don't worry, just take a couple of days break and then your body will get used to it. :)

I was very achy and black and blue when I started but because I did not do any exercise before that. Once I started hooping I had new aches and bruises everywhere but I kept going and I have no bruises or ashiness anymore. Hope you are hooping happily and achieving all your goals and more with hula hooping. Sending you lots of love.

    • @BeeVargaTheHulahooper
      @BeeVargaTheHulahooper 4 роки тому +2

      of course!!!! it is actually a harder workout to be honest. the lighter a hoop the harder you have to work cardiovascularly to keep it up. a weighted heavy hoop is easier to keep up. so if you are looking to gain muscle and bulk around your torso, heavy weighted hoops are your tool for that. If however you are keen to get a slimmer waist and burn fat, the lighter hoop will be perfect for you. Have lots of fun and hope you are hooping happily and fully motivated.

    My hula hoop is 1.2kg, does it matter if it's weighted?

    • @BeeVargaTheHulahooper
      @BeeVargaTheHulahooper 4 роки тому +2

      Very good question / it is pretty much the same as in any other workout: volume helps to gain muscle so if you are keen to build more muscle and get a stronger core and bulk, heavier is better and for a male 1.2kg is perfect. For a female that would be too heavy and usually women want a smaller waist. Because they do not want to bulk around their mid section, for women I usually recommend a hoop that weighs between 600-900 grams. But men like to gain muscle and bulk up so heavier will absolutely help with that. The heavier a hoop the easier it is to keep it going, too so it will not be that much cardio fat burn but more muscle building, core strengthening. But if you want to just burn the fat off your core ( if there is any ) then a hoop that weighs 600-900 grams will absolutely get you work hard and get into fat burning zone without extra bulk added around your waist. I hope that helps. Have fun.

      Hey, I know this is an old question, but totally! You might need a wider hoop though because the smaller the difference between your waist and hoop, the faster you need to move to keep it up.

    What should be the diameter of the hoop

    • @BeeVargaTheHulahooper
      @BeeVargaTheHulahooper 4 роки тому

      very good question - the diameter really depends on the size of your waist and also your fitness level. I would say if you are reasonably fit and have a small or medium waist or dress size, then a hula hoop with an inside diameter of 36inches will be perfect to start learning and getting great results. if you are a bigger dress size your hoop needs to be bigger, too. Believe me, your dress size drops very fast once you stat hooping so if you are trying to get into shape with hooping, a shiny successful new chapter is about to begin for you. For dress sizes M or L I recommend a hoop bigger than 36inches but smaller than 40inches. For anyone size XL or above, a 40 inch hoop or bigger will be perfect. I hope you are fully motivated and achieve all the goals you desire for yourself and more. Lots of love to You.

    • @Dessmothenes
      @Dessmothenes 10 років тому

      Ouch sounds heavy! Stick with it, give it a good strong spin from your lower back, make sure your feet are shoulder width apart and get a good push pull motion going from your waist. And it doesn't hurt to try and see if you spin more strongly the opposite direction! GOOD LUCK SELENIA!

    • @KellysChannel215
      @KellysChannel215 9 років тому

      selenia cuesta It's easy to get started. Just have patience with it. Stand with one foot slightly in front of the other. start moving the hoop and rock back and forth. It doesn't take a lot of movement so you may be over exagerating your moves.

      @lesann620 9 років тому +1

      You can find a lot of great hoop makers on Etsy. SuperHooper.com and RubyHooping.com also offer great hoops for beginners. Depending on your size and stature, you'll want one that's probably between 38-42" in diameter.

    • @KellysChannel215
      @KellysChannel215 9 років тому +1

      AshliGoesRawr You can find the more expensive hoops online or from links on these videos. You can also watch instructional videos and make your own. That's what I did and now I make them and sell them.
