Hi Amanda! 👋😃 I certainly did! Several of those marbles are worth $10+ each! We are off to a bottle show in two hours (and I am still up, as usual.. I will sleep in the car 😴 one hour is better than nothing! ) I will video the show... I hope we sell some stuff. 😬😎 Oh, and the little chucks were out exploring again today.. I got some short videos: Baby chuck discovers the roses! Good thing I like Chucky Jr. more than the roses! 😁

I love marbles. Im an avid collector but the pricey ones are impossible to find in any good condition. I still love collecting, i always want a full set so i try to get ten of the same , or at least six to play. If one gets knocked out of a half set you lose them all. Lol not that anyone ever finished a full game!
Cathy this was a fun video! Thank you for explaining your process of keepers vs. non-keepers. The glowers were amazing of course! I know its not the best for a collector but it is nice to know that several of the marbles were played with. I remember playing with marbles when I was little and everyone got excited with the larger marbles. We used to call them tombucha and I think the word tombucha was an amalgamation of several languages of calling something "fat". I never did see a peewee as a child and after viewing several of your videos I think next to the glowers, peewees are my favorite! Thanks again Cathy:)
Glad you enjoyed the video! I was surprised at all of the marble companies and color combinations that had special names.. which I am still learning. When I was a kid, they were all just cat's eyes. The large marbles are "shooters" (sometimes called toe-breakers if they are big enough!) I don't really remember peewees as a child.🤔 As always, thanks for watching and commenting Rita! 👋😃💖
Very interesting and informative Thanks. I did an estate clean out recently and found a small box with what I think are pee wees All roughly the same clam broth like with a clear swirl. Not really sure what they are but not beads no hole 12 in total I'll let you know if I figure it out 🙃

Hahaha 😂 Hope you find your marbles! (And I hope they're good ones!) I was never a marble gal until I started finding so many in the river, while looking for bottles... Now I'm hooked! They are much harder to learn than bottles. That's why I joined a forum. Some marbles sell for outrageous $$ (not unlike bottles). Great thing is, they are small, and you can collect a lot before you run out of room!

Amazing and stunning marbles Cathy! I thought the one marble you have was brown with white and black inside. When you picked it up and I saw purple (which is my favorite color) I was amazed. That was my favorite and then toward the end you picked up another purple oh my goodness! 😮😮😮 There are so many beautiful colors that are brilliant. You did great ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💜
Glad you enjoyed my marble sorting process.. Yes, I did well! 😃👍 Dark purple shades can be found in older marbles, but lighter purples (like lavender or lilac) are not as common. But marbles that look black are often actually very deep purple or sometimes red. ⚫🟣🔴
Love all the marbles. I haven’t started buying any, just love the thrill of the hunt and find. Then again I don’t go to flea markets or sales. I for see me searching for sales in the future. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
I enjoy the hunt best as well. But since most of my river finds have wear or damage, I began buying better condition, and rarer varieties to "upgrade" my collection. I keep the river marbles separate from the purchased ones. I keep river finds (marbles) regardless of condition! 😁💖
I would've caught sight of those marbles and nabbed them without even looking through them lol. For 10 dollars , I mean that Chrissy could be worth 200 to the right buyer. I was laughing out loud when you were thumbing through them questioning if it was a solid buy 😅

Hi There! Yeah, I did O.K. on that lot! I did not even recognize that Christensen.. I had to post it on a marble forum for ID. I have not seen another like it. I have made a few bad buys though... Either not checking condition first, and finding at home that almost all had some kind of damage, OR a couple of marbles I paid up for, only to find out they had been polished (one was a super boy). Live and learn. I am still learning. -Cathy 🙂
I think you did just fine, nice ravenswoods in there too... If you keep finding them like this you're gonna have a heck of a collection in no time! In my area you find a lot of 35$ jars of cats eye marbles, or a jar of jabos with one or two oldies thrown in for trickery marked at 50 bucks. Getting really sad around here lol
