As a hardcore viewer of MTV from 1982 through 1984, this is probably my second favorite music video of all time. I'd only somewhat 'liked' the song itself back then but over the years have grown to love the song a lot since then as well. 🙂
I agree with the good music part. But what time period was it where you could find good friends who weren't just trying to screw you over? That would have been a blast.
It was an era when going to a bar and having a good time was pure and simple. Where you can leave the stress of work at the office without without having to do it elsewhere.....
At 61, I'm realizing mortality, but wouldn't change a thing! EVERYTHING was good until the end of the 90's, so I can't complain, I enjoyed America right on time! :)
I'm 47 and could not agree with you more, but I'd say the poop hit the fan around 2009-ish. Really just because of social media and SmartPhones. Things meant to bring us closer only pushed us further apart. You rarely see people living in the moment like you see in this video.
A REAL classic song for anyone growing up the early 80s! Back then in high school, students were either jocks or nerds (geek).... but that's what school life was like in the 80s!
An era when music was great, and women like her were stand out beauties. No tattoos, piercings, or dyed hair. Only pure and natural beauty. Nowadays it's rare site to see.

Hello everyone, the guys LOOKING for the BLONDE GIRL is the actress SHARI SHATTUCK, what beautiful unforgettable times, I was little but my parents listened to this beautiful music!! ❤
Listen up, children. This is what real talented musicians/singers sound like! When this album came out, I was 25 years old. It was AMAZING and still is. Still listening to this great music. It was wonderful seeing all of the great and famous groups from the 70's and 80's live in concert. And the ones who still perform are still rocking it! Can't understand why they are not in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame -- especially considering how great 38 Special was and some of the other trash that's been inducted.
OMG...how MUCH I loved this song & band! Wore this tape OUT.😂😂😂. Good ol 38 special...probly those double geetars AND drums... i didn't even realize + phenom songs, compositions!
this is one of the coolest songs to play on electric guitar, it does very interesting chord changes and then the lead is so cool, probably most people take this song for granted having no clue what incredible songwriting is going on, in fact I didnt get it until I recently learned it.

No, said I'd never fall in love again But it's real, and the feeling comes shining through [Chorus] I'm so caught up in you, little girl And I never did suspect a thing So caught up in you, little girl That I never wanna get myself free And baby, it's true, you're the one Who caught me, baby, you taught me How good it could be
I really love this song. I saw them perform live a few times and they were always excellent. Adding Shari Shattuck as the story bombshell was genius, she's looked stunning on the video.

A little bit of trivia about the music video…the man drinking the beer at the bar towards the beginning of the video was 25 years old with 6 children and a single parent, his ex-wife was an tattoo artist and was addicted to “Affrin” the nasal spray. He couldn’t continue the marriage after multiple interventions, she ended up being the first known recipient of a baboons backside surgically implanted on the women face which created a new nose and helped the medical community fast forward plastic surgery techniques we use today…She is now one of the few humans out there that can whistle through her nose…She has an yt video of this amazing ability
38 Special had two drummers because they wanted to have two drummers. The definition of two drummer bands is simple: two drummers play two separate drum kits at the same time. Both of the drummers may play the same rhythm at the same time or one of the drummers may play the rhythm and the other drummer may play another style. There were several bands that had more than one drummer at the same time in the 60’s 70’s and 80’s. There were several American bands especially Southern Rock bands: 38 Special had Steve Brookins and John Grondin. The Allman Brothers Band had Butch Trucks and Jai Johanny Johanson (Jaimoe). The Charlie Daniels Band had Gary Allen and Freddie Edwards. The Doobie Brothers had John Hartman and Michael Hossack. The Grateful Dead had Bill Kreutzmann and Mickey Hart. Lynyrd Skynyrd had Bob Burns and Rickey Medlocke.
