It's May 2023 and I'm still jammi' to this awesome group of men right here ! I remember way back many many moons ago when this album came out and the cassette tapes were the thing and my Sister Susan, who passed away on the 1st oMay, 1982 at the age of 25, had a Maroon Toyota Celica with a kick ass stereo and thumping speakers when we were roommates for a year, I am 18 months younger than Sue, went to the local record store and she bought the cassette with this song on it and we cruised and jammed out! I play this song a lot and every time I do, I think about my wonderful and beautiful Sister Sue who was taken from us way too soon! It's been 41 years the 1st of this month and it feels like yesterday but I will forever cherish all of the amazing fun and sometimes crazy things us four girls did while growing up in the boondocks! Keep on keepin'on! 🏹💞🏹🎸⚡🎸💫

Yeah. I got to see them in Pittsburgh many years ago... Bon Jovi was the opening act for them, that's how long ago it was. They were awesome live, and did sound better than their studio albums. Allman Brothers were another one. Gregg had an absolutely **golden** voice. He sounds exactly the same on their live albums as he does in studio. Sometimes even better because he improvised sometimes and changed it up a little.
Compare that to singers today lol. Their concerts sound fkn horrible because they don't get any post-production done when live.

Don has a voice that goes with the songs he sings, this is real music. I still listen to the 70's an 80's bands, LS, Boston, ARS, journey, Bob Segar you get the message, is there any bands today that plays that kind of music? If not I will keep listen to all my favorite music from the early 70's. Did I mention the eagles? Almost gave away my age.

There's good news for you, my friend: Southern Rock is rising up once again with a whole new set of bands. Check out The Steel Woods, Whiskey Myers, and Blackberry Smoke to start with.

Seen these guy's at Dover downs, international speed way.. 15 years or so back..
They came out, open air, full daylight
And did the show, without a hitch,
I was impressed with this band for year's, after seeing that..
Nothing but professional, all the way..
Without the aid of spring's, mirrors, strings, (other than on the guitars)
    Or any lubercation...
    They shook the place..
This band is one of the very best in the business...

Back in the day, these guys were the shit! Guess what? I believe they still are multi talented, tight band, great vocals, and hot to watch! Their music will live on forever. Wonder what Don Barnes is up to these days. That wild eyed country boy gave this hard lovin' Kentucky woman a night to remember! Mama's still smiling. Thank you.
