I'm a 50 year old black man and ive always liked music like this growing up! The guitar rips are flawless! Long live the 80's!!! BEST DECADE OF MUSIC!!!
Wise 50 YO black man!
The 80's were great; a much simpler time!
This song KICKS ASS. A true underrated, under appreciated classic. That guitar solo gives me chills.

Yes this song kicks fucking ass big time I always loved this group Big Time and I'm 54 and still listen to this group
Fuck yes baby
❤ You got excellent taste in music 🎶🎶🎸💞🎸🔥💯😎🤘
Been rocking 🤘😎 for over 50 years!!!!
I don’t care what anyone says about the 80’s. That guitar solo is epic.
Tues best music came from the 80s❤
Thank God I lived through the 80s. Great time to be alive.
The best times of my life in a lot of ways!
Yes! Eighties were the best.
Live through the 80's this southern rocker likes autograph ❤❤❤😂🎉😅😊❤🎉😂❤!
Amen to that😊
Amen, what a time. Great tunes and a lot of fun, and no matter what, my buddies had my back, I loved it.
Make fun of the 80’s all you want. At least them boys could actually play an instrument.
And they didn't use autotune
The musically ignorant only make fun of the 80's. It was an era of guitar virtuosos. This is a song I could never get tired of.
@@kitekrazee the noises that a bridge humbucker in a Charvel makes will never be forgotten.
Yes, them and of course many others including Slade!!! Rock forever!!
Autograph rocked. Could turn the radio up to this song and drive my parents nuts. 80s music is the best and will always be the best.
I grew up listening to this band iam 71 now❤
You can't help but to move something to this beat. Nothing compares to the 80's hair bands. And yes, they actually played instruments. The guitar solo is amazing. Listen. Its all encompassing. It checks all the boxes. A true classic.
100% party song !
Wine Coolers and hotties with great big blond hair !!!!!!!!!!!!!
at 3:29 you can see someone push the guitarist into frame for the solo lol, dude was focused

things go better with rock ...
Opinions are like assholes...Everybody's got one...If you grew up in the 80's, it was a fun time. Our music reflected that. It wasn't dark, sinister, depressing and angry for the most part. It was just a big party. People were happy and couldn't give two shits about what was going on in the rest of the world. We were just having a good time...SO DEAL WITH IT!!!
hell yea dude
You were BORN in the 80's? Well then you know nothing about the 80's except what you have read. You didn't "live" in the 80's at all. You may have existed, but that's pretty much the extent of it... Your opinion is an opinion of ignorance and lack of knowledge. Tell me about the 90's and maybe your opinion will count, youngster. We had fun and you are jealous. Get over it...
*****
No shit, was a child of the 70's, teenager of the 80's, that was the best fucking time. I realized a bit ago, I am so thankful for those times. Wouldn't trade it for the world. Glad to grow up during the best two decades. Had a blast, and would do it again!

RIP Keni Richards (Autograph's drummer). God bless your soul brother. You are deeply missed.

Real shame. Great drummer.
I was great friends with Keni when we all lived in Joshua Tree, CA, where he was murdered. My xbf and I would visit him constantly to lift his spirits up from depression. Autograph was a very underrated band. I’ve listened to there first 3 albums and they’re all good. Lots of catchy hook lines and guitar solos.
"Day in, day out, all we know: Things are better with rock!"
Truer words were never spoken.
+Damon Fyrian Damn right! I work at a shipyard, and I do not go one single day without rock'n roll in my ears. And by rock'n roll, I mean this kinda rock'n roll. Makes the day so easy and fun!
Hammern28 This is actually more hair metal than rock'n roll, but that's irrelevant in the larger scheme of things. (Props to you if you get what the last half of that is a reference to.)
+Damon Fyrian Well, where I live, we refer to this as poodle rock more, but since rock'n roll is like the main genre, covering so many areas, I doubt that going into details is needed. We all know what is what:)
Hammern28 It's called hair metal for (probably) the same reason you call it poodle rock: the band's hair. That was a big thing in the 80s. (Warrant, Twisted Sister, Motley Crue, Autograph, Def Leppard... There are more I could list, but that's just a few.)
+Damon Fyrian Like, I know. I am a 78 model, so I grew up with the music. And I have albums from all those artists, and lots more, even vinyls.
The advantage of being born in the early 70's is I got to grow up listening to 80's music!!!!

Born in the 40's Loved music in the 60's and 80's. Daughter came home from high school with some classmates one day, and said Dad, there are all these great classic rock records we've GOT to get. (this was one of them) and I went over to the record cabinet, and pulled out every one on my daughter's list. back in the time when artists actually had tallent, damn I miss the 80s
+grandtheftauto219 yeah, those were the days. more often than not, my old man and i kick back and listen to the songs from those days.
+grandtheftauto219 - >implying artists today don't have just as much, if not way more talent than they did back then. Fuck, me playing so much rock and metal from this time period really hampered my growth as an artist, since every time I play a lead I end up in a pentatonic shape just like 90% of leads from this time period.
Steel Panther is just as good as anything from the 80s, and they're a parody group.
Look at modern prog - knowing theory and making use of uncommon tonalities and time signatures is more popular than ever.
Shredders nowadays know more than a pentatonic scale -.-
+grandtheftauto219 Plenty of good bands in the last 15 years that have made and are still making amazing music.
+Starscream lol........hahaha, thx for the laugh.

The 80s were definitely in a class by themselves, especially the music, so glad to have lived through this awesome decade
The kids of today will NEVER, EVER know how good we had it back in the 80s. Where life was so carefree & easy, and the music was totally kickass!!! The best decade EVER!
Most definitely!! The '80's ruled!!
AIDS, the crack epidemic, the Reagan Administration ...
2016 .... Zika virus, Heroin epidemic, Islamic Terrorism, the Obama Administrator...
Heroin has been around forever, Islamic terrorism are vestiges of the Reagan and Bush (1 & 2) Administrations via funding of different factions and wars started during their presidencies, and Zika is mostly an epidemic concerning Latin American countries.

One of the 80s most under rated bands, they even needed sponsorship from papermate to finance this video. Those were great times with the best music, especially 80s metal.
Whose drummer was murdered
This highly underrated, underappreciated song peaked only at #29 in Spring 1985. It wasn't as much the fault of the band as much as it was the unbelievable talent that was producing music at this time. On March 16 ,1985 alone, the following acts had top 40 hits: Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel, Phil Collins (two songs), Madonna (two songs), Prince, Chicago, Kool and the Gang, the Commodores, Glenn Frey, Don Henley, (singles hits--not as members of the Eagles), Duran Duran, Mick Jagger (solo), David Lee Roth (solo), Tina Turner, the Cars, Journey, Wham, Foreigner, Bryan Adams, Sheena Easton, Hall and Oates, Diana Ross, New Edition, and David Bowie! Most of those are in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. When one thinks about the quality of competition Autograph was up against, it is a minor miracle they were able to chart at all.
The most underrated guitar solo of all time.
not underrated for its time it actually got solo of the year for ‘84
as for the standing of time yes
Check out “Hammerhead” by this band
Says who and why did you believe it?
Thats a solo for EVH-stlye beginners. A style nobody uses anymore btw. It was fashion back then. Like the stupid clothes they wore, the posing, the overproduced choruses and the perms
@@UserUli stfu...it fits the song and is memorable, unlike the bullshit you spew. Steve Lynch was tapping before he even heard of EVH btw.

Sad to learn that half the band has passed away but they can RIP knowing they were part of one of the greatest rock anthems of all time. The 1980’s never ceases to amaze me. Though I generally preferred bands like Tears for Fears, Duran Duran, and Depeche Mode I also loved the metal bands as well. @@jasonengland2357 Boy, you guys aren't kidding! All those things combined made it hard to make a tape. But if you were able to do so, and if your song came on and you could hit the record button in time, it was so worth it.
Good times.
📻🤘🏼🎸🍻
Yeah I've thought about that as well. We can pull up any song at will now but it just isn't the same as when a song would come up on the radio.
Steve Lynch (not related with "Mighty George") is surely one of the most underrated guitar players of our time. And so is kinda the whole band. Their album "Loud and Clear" is - for me personally - a true milestone in the melodic Hard'n'Heavy genre ❤❤❤
Hubby and I may be in our 50s, but being from the class of 86, the height of hair bands, we still love putting this old music from back In the day on, during our "date night " fun!!! Growing old with the love of your life, sex just gets better and better, especially with our high school music setting the mood!!! Sorry, not sorry!
This wins the award for most 80's video of all time.
Samuel Gutierrez I figured We're Not Gonna Take It by Twisted Sister or any Poison video would take that honor
jonathan davis all I wanted was a Pepsi mom
Almost every 80s video is just like this one. I like the nomination of Separate Ways, but I'd cast my vote for We Built This City.
comn guys arent we forgetting whitesnake scorpions warrant winger cinderella the cars loverboy extreme judas priest iron maiden honeymoon suite acdc ozzy vixen heart joan jett lita ford along with others i cant possible think of

GOD I MISS THESE DAYS! Good music, good beer, HOT woman, NO SOCIAL MEDIA!
I miss the music, the beer and the men.
I miss the rock/metal culture of the 80s and early 90s. The current rock scene is non existent
Keni just KILLS this drum beat! Poor snare.....
The 1980s had the best variety of music 💯 Love it! 😊
Hey im 58 & still blast rush,judas priest,triumph,boston,journey,black sabbath,deep purple,the who,zeppelin, hendrix to name a few...long live r&r....
right on man! I do the same I crank it up when I listen to Judas Priest.
They struck GOLD with this one. One of the best tracks from the 80s.. you can’t NOT turn the volume all of the way up .
you are correct. my jc whitney speaker box and realistic amp can only go to 65% on this song
So True! You just can't turn it up loud enough!! We're so lucky to have grown up with this!!🎸🎵
Yeah too bad they were pretty much a one hit wonder though.
I blast it, sing along with it and dance like no one's watching when this song is on- which is frequently on my Spotify and YT!
@@ronaldmello1831 They had another very minor hit with Blondes in Black Cars, but after that... nothing. Died out faster than just about any other glam metal band I can think of. Even Quiet Riot, whomst are notorious for their crash and burn held onto stardom in some degree through 1987-ish (Metal Health was Diamond certified, Condition Critical was 4x Platinum certified, and QR III was Platinum certified, all according to Rock Candy Records and Carlos Cavazo)
But Autograph, well... their one album went gold and barely cracked the Top 30 on the charts with one major hit single on the pop charts, their next album barely made the Hot 100 with a small hit on the rock charts, and after that they never returned to the charts again
If this song doesn’t get your heart going nothing will!! They’re killing it!! I remember when it first came out I was blown away!! And Mathias , what can I say he’s one of the best!!
This is 1980s metal always remember them doing song for fright night, autograph kick ass
I feel like this sums up the 80's quite nicely in just 4:40 lol
Music from the 80’s is still incredible today!🎤🎸🥁🎸🎤
yes is
I remember when I would put the cassette tape inn and turn it wide open. Back then we would build a box to put our Woffer in and put it in the trunk missed those days😢😢😎😎😎🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟
