Have you experienced any of these problems?!
Just planted my first seeds right here in my office. I appreciate all of the content. You have answered every question I have had so far. I have a meeting with a local restaurant one the 31st. Thank you for all the help.
Awesome love to hear it!!! Best of luck!
Please make more Videos about the entrpeneur side. TY!
I can totally do that!! Im guessing you are already growing or not yet?
@@DonnyGreens Not yet, but Im waiting for the stuff to arrive to finally start :)
Light power also impacts the need for watering. This became apparent to me when i tried to grow some plants with dimmable lights. Also, higher air temperature will naturally evaporate h2o faster. So, there is plant temperature that is light generated and there is air temeperature.
I almost get a hard-on on these things, awsome bro!
Thanks a lot!! Yes a ton of factors go into growing. Gotta keep it all under control!
Hi Donny I'm excited about getting my farm setup. Your course was AMAZING !!!! Thanks sooooo much for all the valuable info you provide. Love your videos !!!!
Thanks so much for this comment Peter, it was an absolute pleasure having you in the last challenge round. So much fun!! Pumped for you 🌱🚀
Great videos! Waiting for a detailed wheat grass grow.
Thanks for resurfacing. You are an excellent teacher and inspiring. I’ve built a microgreens room based on your teaching in the past but gave up. Not enough time and too much MOLD😅. Luckily bumped into this video and am once again inspired to resume. 🎉🎉
Wow love this Derrick! So glad you are re-inspired! If you need some closer help and instruction, id love to have you in the next challenge so we can really nail this together and get you growing with no problems! Https://onetrayaway.com/challenge
hey Donny love your vid all with fantastic information and I love how much you take care of your plants with love and respect, one question to ask you that is about the height from shelve to shelve or distance from light to shelve. thanks for all that you do keep it up champ ;)
Yo Donny! 👋 love your videos. Do you use an app or software to manage your business? Growing schedules, customers, orders, fulfillment, etc?
Thanks Donny! You have help me grow so much during my microgreens learning & growing process. I tend to listen to your videos everyday as I'm growing and loving my process. Please keep these coming! Let's see where i am in the next months. ❤
awesome much love, im back to creating videos for you love
Thanks. I appreciate you! 🙏 😀
:)
Hey Donny, thanks for the info! I've been following you for about a year now since then I've started my microgreens business. I seem to have a small problem with mold in blackout with the salad mix or broccoli. It doesn't happen all the time but sometimes it does when the trays are in blackout. What do you suggest. Thanks
Can you sprinkle Cinnamon over the seeds to prevent mold? Also, how do you feel about Heirloom seeds?
thanks
Challenge is a great idea! However radish and broccoli grow easily I have found how about sunflower ?
I really appreciate how thoroughly you explain each topic. I am just researching to open next summer in Tennessee.
Awesome Christopher, love it!!! Definitely join in on the next challenge, it will definitely get you ready to start moving forward on that farm plan!! 🌱🚀 pumped for you
Amazing content dude. I am so excited to start. Do you offer joint ventures?😊
you can do it yourself, im just here to help!! join my challenge here if you wish: www.onetrayaway.com/
A bit off topic but I was wondering if you could use microgreens in juicing and do you have any recipe ideas
You got a link for great sunflower seeds for us Canadians? Sucks that you don't ship up here but makes sense as the boarder probably zaps them through customs.
Have you ever had any issues with thr Pro mix soil ? I've been using it with great success, just had a issue getting it this last order and when I did get it the soil smells very musty and I'm having dead spots in several of my trays ive never had before using the same seed lots and grow techniques, only change is the soil lot... suspecting contamination in the soil lot I got this last time due to how it smells and dead spots in my tray... unfortunately i had to get this lot off Amazon as my other source just couldn't deliver and set me back two weeks ...
I want to sell with soil to improve shelf life.?
There is an upside down clamshell in the intro. Where do you get these?
Thanks!
the only mold I'm seeing and having an issue with come during the 2-3 days that it takes for germination. How do I avoid that since there is no air circulation under my weighted covers?
Hi -I have been following your tutorials for microgreens. I started my first tray last week. However, I now understand maybe too much water & lack of ventilation caused the whole top layer of my tray to form mold 😪 My question is: can I skim off that top layer and start over, but then the seeds will be skimmed off too. Or is there another option? Thanks so much, your videos are awesome
depends how bad. not so bad, you can ahrvets above. super bad, just start over. glad you are liking my channel!
Donny im aiming to start a micro greens business, can you please tell me if your trays are holed or solid? i'm having a hard time choosing which to get.
i've been EXTREMELY motivated and informed by your videos ( currently on my 2nd hour of watching consequitive videos haha) please keep this amazing content going
I personally do 1 holeless and 1 with holes for each tray, and then a holeless tray or 10x20 sheet for each germination stack
its both. watch my video on this exact topic
I have a question regarding the germination process. At the beginning, you mentioned the importance of maintaining humidity without making the crop too watery and ensuring good airflow. However, during the germination process, I encounter mold growth in the very first days after planting seeds. Keeping the weight on top for germination make environment humid and also there's no airflow during that period, so mold starts to appears. I've also tried reducing the amount of water in other trays, but the problem persists. I've cleaned everything thoroughly and taken precautions, but mold continues to grow during germination. Could you please provide any advice or solutions to address this issue?
There are a lot of factors that go into growing. It could be your seeds, your growing medium, your temperature, your grow space, etc
I started adding some hydrogen peroxide (food grade) to my sunflower soak water and have nearly eliminated mold by doing this.
How much do you add?
@@martinezlucia1011% should do it
But the amount specifically? Parts?
@@soloraflower5139 You can't overdo it, so a good start is 1 tsp per 2 cups of water. You can go less but it's better to have more than you need then not enough.
I do this to all my larger seeds, I'd do it to the small ones too if soaking didn't make them such a pain to spread.
what seed u grow?
Which microgreen shall I start as a very beginner?
How many times are you reusing your soil?
I use fresh each time
I must be overwatering. Getting mold and poor germination..
could be. thatd be my bet!
