Looking back and revisiting this video made me realize something.
I find it hilarious that such a beautifuly designed tractor looks wise, will hardly be seen by anyone unless you live and work on the farm that owns and operates it.
Its one thing to drive a Porsche or Aston Martin where people can see and appreciate its beauty and design, but I would argue this tractor is also a thing of beauty and it's amusing to think no one will be able to appreciate this beauty.
Man Fendt built a beast of a tractor 673hp and CVT transmission that's sweet. Nice video BTP!

I think Mike doesn’t like the way two tracks handle the soft ground around the slews. Apparently they go off course when one side hits the soft stuff. Those tracks look so wide though and it’s so heavy, that it might not be a problem.
I would love to see BTP visit Mike’s farm.
I think he is more concerned with what you could weight it too for traction.
@@michaelstark703 Nope its all about the turning. When you pull heavy these 2 tracks just dont turn. They only spun the other track. When soft ground its the same it goes here and there, and hills too. This is the reason why 4 track beats these hands down on his operation. On level dry ground it pulls as good and can have the weight enough. His farm just aint all level.

Been almost a year, still haven't seen a video better than this putting this tractor to work...
They have come along way from when I worked for Fendt over thirty years ago in Germany. I remember touring the factory in Marktoberndorf.
AGCO has greatly expanded Fendt tons world wide machine. Impressive tractors.
Though it´s not like they didn´t have pretty good tractors 30 or 40 years ago, just maybe geared towards the western german market a little more.
@@EinachserLS Renault (now Claas) DOMINATED Europe and 30 years ago Fendt was okay and reliable still, but they’ve made huge steps since. They’re the flagship brand in agriculture for a good decade now, Vario is amazing to work with!

1167 seems to pull that ripper pretty well.
wil-rich lists the 11shank version with requirement of 450-550hp
while the 13 shank is listed as 500hp+ (but since the 11shank need 550, the 13 probably need more the 550)
and 14" is the deepest the tool can go
so, that would mean this 1167 puts AT LEAST 550hp down, which is really impressive cause that would mean that it in theory can outpull a 620 case quadtrac (and with that also the jd 620)
The 1167 is a monster tractor. Very smooth and powerful.

What a lovely bit of kit ,with a lovely price tag to go with it, the only criticism I have is when stetching I do like to see the overlap ,I noticed there were areas that the discs didn't touch, all the very best.

We run 3 2015 fendt 930s. Pulling various implements such as a sunflower 5135 field cultivator. Landoll 2510 in row ripper. And in the summer they mow hay with triple mowers

Amazing how much engineering is developed by the agricultural industry. Fendt seems to be a leader.

On our farm we have a 724 and 828 Fendt and they are working with 6 and 7 furrow Lemken plows and 4m Kockerling Quadro ripper and 6m Kockerling Rebell disc.

if you are paying over half a million for this who the f is gonna care for an extra 2.5k (cause that the price difference between old fendt 724 vs fendt 724 with fendt one) for the fendt one design. like why fendt?? just why. the current vario terminal is SOOOOOOO outdated. the rest of the cab is really good and modern, but just the terminal, justwhy not really, i dont see why not
IMPRESSIVE, indeed! There wasn't any 'lugging' the engine down - just steady getting after the task. That MAN engine 'line' is changing high end equipment performance - the Claas Jaguar 990 TT is another good example. I've been wondering when Claas will introduce this MAN engine in the Xerion line...maybe a 6000?! Anyhoo...any idea what the price is on this Fendt? Another great video - thank you!

The 5000 Xerion uses an Mercedes engine from the Actros line, so this thing is really not bad.

I would say this combo is a good match. 14 inches deep at 6 mph will work a tractor out.
Now that's proper deep tillage ripping ladies & gentleman! You absolutely have to do this at least every other year...........8 inches deep doesn't cut it.
It works the ground up well.

We run all John Deere on our operation, but hats off to Fendt, that’s one whopper of tractor, I’d love to see one up close one day
Fendt is well worth looking at for tech, horse power and fuel efficiency.

At 1400 RPM it's barely above an idle but at full power , incredible !! Wonder what would happen if it was allowed to turn it loose ??!!
MAN rates the engine at up to 515 kW at 1800 rpm so you'd only gain another 20 kW.

when i moved to North America seeing guys overlap their seeders and their anhydrous cultivators by 2 or 3ft was common, now being off by 2 or 3 inches is bad, lol. allot has happened in 25yrs.

I would pay money to see this thing pull head to head with the old 875c with the C18 CAT.
I would travel across ocean to watch Case 150 steam engine tractor try make new pull record next summer,,,this summer it pulled 36 bottom John D. plow with 18 operators on top,and after that you can have you competition with your Fendt or Cat or whatever.
C18 engine have more stroke and torque.
@@suachecat for the displacement of the C18 engine (18.1L), 2850Nm max torque is really really really weak
thats not a good torque, at all..
even the 15.2L MAN with LESS stroke has more torque, heck even a qaudtrac 620 has more torque and thats only 12.9L
for the fysical size of the engine, a C18 isnt impressive in any way, by a long shot..
(dont get me wrong, im not saying their bad, just nowhere near as impressive as people make it out to be)
at the time it wasnt bad, but it doesnt come close to touching more modern engines.
P.S. 'stroke' isnt the measure for torque, yes it influences it but it isnt THE measure to go by.. but RPM / displacement / bore all have a influence in total torque
@@Matt___B No, you have any idea of engines. The C18 is heavier, and have more steel to support heavy torques. The C18 procuce more than 3000Nm peak or 2500Nm continuous torque. The C18 have more cranckshaft radius and therefore procuces more torque. You study a little of trigonometry and physics and then you talk. Im hevy engine technician, I work with Wartsila, Sulzer, Mitsubisi, Caterpillar Mak, Man B&W, EMD in ships mining equipent... You are not going to teach me how an engine works. The Man engine is light engine designed for logistic and manufactured ,and C18 is capable to produce more torque in longer time.

Yes it does have cab suspension and front hardbar suspension, rides like a cloud.

They would be a good match. A farm here in Kentucky runs 60 ft drills on the 600 hp MT875E at 13 mph.
Not good on their hills. And they dont turn. That is why those quads not 2 tracks on him.

Challenger tractors are used all the time here in the Dakota’s. You just use them differently you put the cart before the drill for turning around sloughs. and you go up the hill not across the hill.

Not yet. I did film a Claas 8600 and John Deere X9 1100 in corn.
@@bigtractorpower Well that is exciting then. The ideal got so much talk and got everyone excited when it first came out because it was the first of it's kind but now it seems like deere took that over with the X9. The ideal seems like a promising machine though

How does this machine compare to the Challenger MT875E? Other than a different color of paint they both look like the same machine.
Agco absorbed the Challenger brand, rebranded them as Fendts and updated them with Fendts trademark Vario transmission. So this would be the next generation on from the 875E.

Not yet. The Challenger MT900E series is the only articled tractor at the moment from AGCO.

Horse power is not the only thing about strength,watch for yourself the Case 150 hp steam engine pull a 36 bottom J.D. plow with 18 operators on top.2021 trying harder pull.
Why are they ripping every other row? Looks like the come back and get the un-ripped rows later. Is that because of the turning radius?
It's easier for the GPS to maintain a straight line if the ground on either side of it's working path is the same. So untilled on both side and then tilled on both side when they go back through the field. Hopefully that makes sense
It speeds up tillage. The tractor using GPS makes perfect 26ft passes. It can skip 26ft make a wider turn reducing wear and tear on the tracks and turn faster on a wider loop. Then it just makes the same wide passes on the return. It saves time.

The only issue with the 1167 is weight. The Deere and QT have a 6-8k advantage.
Ok,operating a 10 metre Kongskilde stubharve/chiselplow with 40 chisels made of spring steel themselves,so no additional springs and each chisel with 310 mm (1 foot?) wing tip,so full cut first time and pulled by a MF 9240 with Cummins 8,3 litre eng. 250 hp s.,usually depth is 15 - 20 cm s and this implement was selfbuilt for this tractor with a steel wire going forward to a bar in front on the 3 point. from each side of the harrow (ch.pl.),the 400 kilo ballast in front is a little on the low side as can be difficult to steer if old tracks in dirt,usually goes in gear 9 out of 18 available,but can go faster if want and soilcategory is 6 to 7 with much clay on hillsides and tops,only use 2 wheel drive and 900 mm rear tires.The Fendt looks strong with no black smoke,so guess implement is on small side,but have no idea if it is a mismatch.Thank you for vid.,stay on safe side.
Wow the 9240 is a rare Massey. It was built in Coldwater, OH. It is the same tractor as an AGCO WHITE 6215 and AGCO Allis 9815. I would like to film a 9240 some day to feature its unique history.
@@bigtractorpower Yes Sir,its a bit of a strange tractormodel because it has different names such as Same 265,Lamborghini 265, Deutz Agrostar 8,31 with same cab but their own edgy hood or bonnet,also Allis name was involved,think Deutz owned the name for a while,plus allready mentioned names,also think its Funk gearbox was later sold to J.D.,but not 100 % sure.Guess I will get to know if I some day go there and ask for a MF g.box spare part,and they ask me if I didnt notice gone to a John D.dealer..Stay healthy.

Doesn't the 620 caseih quadtrac boost up to 680hp?
That is a power boost for tough spots but not a full time operating power. This tractor most likely boosts up to 700 plus hp in a tough spot.

yes, the 9620RX boosts to 670hp, while the case quadtrac 620 goes to 692 with boost. in hp the 1167 isnt the biggest, but it is in terms of torque
Leave it Fendt to come out of the gate hitting the turf with 673 HP. Talk about leading the way. Nobody will ever be able to say you can’t hear it coming, very loud. I looked at Case, they have the largest horsepower tractor in production. I guess it’s not used in America. It’s listed as,
Case IH Steiger/Quadtrac 620 is the world's most powerful tractor at an incredible 692 hp.
The Case 620 has only 620 rated hp, peak hp can go up to 682 hp. The Fendt has 673 rated hp, it can easily peak well over 700 hp,

It won't be easy finding equipment for that tractor at times.
The next range of big tractors from all the makes will be near 700 hp. No doubt bigger implements will follow.
Krause makes a 25 shank landsaver coulter chisel (19 plus shank landsaver sand more landoll tillage are on my wishlist to see.) In some of the heavy Indiana clay of my area I’d bet money that a 25 or maybe even a 23 shank would stop a 620 quad dead at the right depth
Maybe it’s just me but at 8:05 I certainly wasn’t impressed by how deep it *appeared* to be set
That's what I always think when I see these $600k or more tractors with these giant implements but then they only put them 4 inches or so in the ground...what's the point?
