Dowdeswell plough are awesome...i have one, 4 furrow DP8A, oldy but goldy...its very easy for tractor to pull him trough the different type of soil with only 125HP....It is too bad they do not made new ones anymore...

they still been made but under the name dunns now i think,they bought the rights

Why is it plowing without placing the right wheels in the channel?
Given the width of the plough it needs to be pulled from nearer the middle - and this way all four wheels have even grip.
Ploughs can either run in furrow or on top. This one ploughs on top only. Also wheels are too wide to go in furrow. It would run on what has already been ploughed leaving in uneven.

We want to hear the tractors engine sound and not some crappy music.
My drone does not have a microphone, mute the audio and think tractor noises instead!! 🤣👌
The start of the video is very jarring with the music setting in full volume with no warning.
Also: cheap music is no substitute for the actual sound of the equipment shown.
Apologies - I see what you mean... I can't edit the volume on UA-cam but retrospectively but I can make sure the volume settings are lower when I post videos in the future. Hope you liked the video though... even if it was too loud?
300 hp should be enough in front of 9 furrows. And was more economic.
True, but they probably use the 1050 to pull a big min-till direct drill as well and may not have the use for two tractors of that size.

It pulls a 4.5m Keeble progressive and a 5m topdown. It’s a very economical tractor. Tms controls the revs and only gives what it needs. Think I was ploughing there at no more than 1200rpm.
@@matthewchambers7387 For sure, concerning the fuel consuption the tractor works at 1200rpm very economic.
But we have to consider the the prime costs as well. There's an enormous difference between 300hp and 500hp. But i guess there may be other serious reasons to work with 500hp in front of 9 furrows.
(By the way, English is not my native language.)
