So jealous this is one of your local mountains. I just wrapped up a two week vacation in SLC - got all 7 of my Snowbird days in, they got about 100" in the time I was there. Just broke 500" when my vacation started and broke 600" by the time I left. Luckily somehow stumbled into a mineral basin rope drop with a foot plus of fresh snow. By far some of the best riding I have ever experienced. Such a great mountain - your videos helped me navigate the area but it is still so much mountain to explore. I still left trails untouched after 7 full days. That great scott drop looks so different from just a few weeks ago. Nearly all those rocks on top were almost completely covered. Crazy how quickly it can change.
for sure man . the wind can be super gnarly on the cirque like that and really keep it exposed no matter how much snow they get. stoked you had a good experience out at the bird.
Just wanted to say thank you for all the content you put out. I've skied Snowbird a handful of times the past couple weeks (never been, before this) and have had some of the best ski memories there. It's turned into my favorite mountain largely influenced by you. Keep shreddin out there dude
This video was especially fun to watch since my brother and I just took a ski trip and skied here. I only know the mountain like how it is now with all this snow. Very cool to see you ski great scott, cirque was one of my favorite areas!!
So sad the last 3 weeks been watching all ur ski videos and only got a small amount left to watch I think ur dope like love ur videos so much can’t wait for more to come
LOVE that view from the top of the 'Bird. One of my favorite in skiing. Also one of my top 3 areas along with Telluride and Jackson Hole. I have a totally new and improved appreciation of not just your skiing abilities but even more so for your video editing skills. I just finished working for 10 days on an under 15 minute video I just put out. It was my first with my Max so I expected more time but I thought I would never get done! And my editing relates to yours about like my skiing does: Intermediate to Expert!! Keep doing that Voodoo that you do so well!!!
Back at my favorite mountain, best resort on earth! Protip: if you ski past Peruvian chair there's a small bridge you can ski over that takes you right to the tram line (which is faster than going over the main bridge from Dick Bass Highway). Sick shredding as always!
Love your channel. This video showed you putting on your Dalbello Krypton boots. Is the Flex 110 or have you stiffened them up? Glad you made it to Kicking Horse, what a mountain!
I always felt like we skiing in different place even though we have been to the same resort lol. Black Forest run is my current limit. Love this channel
I’m here dude. Got my stoke on with 10” of freshie and snowing all day. Hope to run into you today. Skied all day yesterday ran little cloud loops with road to Provo but missed bookends due to them closing mineral basin. Hope you had a great day and hope to bump into you on 3/15.
when you put the 360 cam out in front, it gives such a great perspective on speed and your skills. One of your runs would make me ache for a week. Nice video
Hi there! Awesome video! I did not see a mention of your Armadas in the Comments. Can you state the model and Specs on your ARMADA Skis and binding please? Quite the Rocker! Thank You!
@@franklinhorton6578 the underfoot width really has nothing to do with your height. thats dependent on the conditions you are skiing in. the length of the ski is more specific to your height. i dont necessarily recommend the ski that i was using in this video to everyone.
@@LucasCatania17 Thank You!. So 121 is the underfoot width in MM, correct? I was just checking to see the Length in CM. Love the Rocker on them. You Are Able to turn Very quickly, with them.
Hey Lucas, nice vid! Always enjoy skiing Snowbird. Heading out to PC next Wed 22th for a week. Stoked! I'll keep an eye out for you if you're around! Haha ⛷️
It was sick to see you in the Gadzoom lift line this day! I've never agreed with anything more than when you said you can never have a bad day at the bird! So true
@@LucasCatania17 i went monday 3-13-2023 and it is spring break so there are kids all over the place.. i threw my back out on my 4th run and took a couple runs and rested it and went home.. i will probably try to go on friday.. so yesterday 3-14-2023 (pie day) was my one year anniversary of breaking my arm and seeing Jesus (he is doing fine by the way;) just like the title of your video says, it is nice to be able to chill.. i can come back another day..
Do you have any tips for solo skiing content making? I love the style of your videos but Idk how to do all that cinematic stuff. I have a DSLR camera that is capable of getting nice shots but I'm not sure if there is some technique to it and how to do it. All my ski content consists of pov shots so I want to spice it up a bit.
Hi Lucas, I’m at park city right now and this is my first time going out west. I noticed that you were at snowbird and I’ve seen a ton of your videos so I wanted to see if you could go to park city and I will try to meet you.
It’s alway when you ski the bird. It’s like all the overly entitled ass hats come out to troll. F@$k the noise Lucas, these people can’t hold a candle to the community you’ve built!
sorry about the wind. i think my camera is broken.
it's ok. Congrats on 40k man. Take it easy :)
Always fun to see your definition of a chill day - double-black chutes with rocks. Makes me miss Snowbird!
snowbird is the best!
Awesome you made it back to Snowbird! That snowpack is outrageous! Thanks for sharing man, looking forward to your racing & summer adventures!
thanks bro! snowbird has your name written all over it
Mid-season March Madness

Always a treat watching you shred up the Bird 🕊️ Hope Mr Lahey is doing well 😢
i was looking for him out there but couldnt find him

Mineral basin is killer if you have time explore up baldy. That wind was epic man. Good stuff as always

You should try the talons challenge next year at beaver creek, Colorado

Went to snowbird for the first time since living in Utah yesterday, insane terrain and want to go back again before the season ends
yes dude some of the best there is
great vid. whats the easiest run off jup at pc in ur opinion
easiest run is probably like a west bowl id say
@@LucasCatania17 thanks man, warzone?

thanks dude! the 360 cam out front is definitely my favorite view but the hardest to ski with as well!
I will in Utah the first week of May, Im assuming Snowbird will still be open?
theres a good chance it will be but i wouldnt assume anything
Mad man!!!!
Come to Dodge Ridge this Saturday 18th!!!
have fun dude!
I was there that day as well, that wind was crazy.
Me and my dad were skiing almost everything you skied that day, I can’t believe we missed you!

Dope to see you back at the bird
such a great mountain
how is the montec holding up? how was it in that wind?
i havent had any issues with the montec this year. the wet weather in the PNW was more of an issue than the wind at the bird.
Great Scott it’s windy @6:00
yea very!
So ready to head there next weekend!
have fun!
Sick video! Snowbird is STEEP.
it sure is!
Yoo Lucas, you’re an inspiration man!
thanks dude!
Now that's a trade-off to consider.
Do you save your Bird days for after the other resorts close? Or do you use them when conditions are best?
yeah exactly. tough year to only have 7 bird days haha
So sick! I heard there was like record snowfall in Utah this season
definitely up there with some of the most snowfall weve ever had.
Just got FOUR FEET of fresh snow on the east coast! When you driving up?
enjoy it while it lasts
More in the forecast 😏
is powder mountain on the itinerary?
i went there once already this season but have 1 more day so yea!
Do any of us really know where we are going...somehow you always find the trees though! Love the adventure!
thats true haha thanks scott!
do you live in your van?

Tram laps at the Bird, woo hoo
we'll take the 1 tram we got haha
